Staying in Gonchar Hotel is wonderful. Location allows a quick access to Peizazhna alley and Vozdvyzhenka area. Even thought is central part of busy Kyiv, this area is nice and quiet

Location is good. Many touristic places are nearby but you have to go through many steep hills. WiFi signal is very good.

Ladies at the reception don't understand english. They are a little bit cold. Not very hospital. Rooms are very ordinary so are the services. One of the landladies doesn't know the difference between shampoo and shower gel. I wanted shampoo but she brought me shower gel when i tried to explain she sighed and that shampoo never found me🤔one o f the little examples is that you cannot find earpicks after a shower. They charge much with respect to their services. Breakfast is also ordinary. If you are going to pay with credit card you should know that they will charge you extra %7.8 commission over the booking.com price and you have to pay as soon as you come to the hotel. So you cannot leave the hotel if you are not happy with your stay. The only good thing about this hotel is that its location. I'd never prefer this hotel again if i come to Kyiv in the future. To sum up, stay away from this hotel.

Very nice hotel at a great location! Perfect for a short trip to explore the city.

the hotel staff was very helpful and flexible: - we arrived late, however still managed to check in - staff was very welcoming the location is perfect! in 2 mins from the stairs taking you to Peyzazhnaya alley, 4 mins to Andriyivskyi usviz and Andriyivska church numerous tasty places to have breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner. thus reco - do not take breakfast in the hotel - go to a new place nearby every morning. The food served in the cafes around is delicious, diverse and not overpriced! even though the location is in the pretty populated area for hanging out - the hotel is located a bit "deeper" in the area, close to the diplomatic residences. This provides a perfect combination of living in a very close proximity to attractions and food diversity combined with peace and quietness in the rooms of the hotel. Plan to stay here again next time. great value for money!

the subway is a bit further than I thought (~20 mins walk) and when we stayed in the hotel - it was a lot of road constructions going on on the way (was not very pleasant walk) the rest is perfectly fine!
