Wonderful place to stay

We were upgraded which was fabulous.

We asked to stay 15 mins after checkout and we're told clearly it wasn't an option. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises so I had to walk to the main road to smoke.

Great place to stop over between Christchurch and Nelson. Comfortable, spacious suite with everything we needed. This would be our choice to stay in Murchison again.

This is a fairly new property with modern amenities. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a family suite which was large and had a nice spa. The king size bed was very comfortable. The place was spotless and had everything that we needed. I would definitely recommend.

A bathroom fan was left on overnight in the next door apartment which backed onto our bedroom. Was an annoying sound. But not much the Motel could have done about that.

We loved everything! Close to the main road, but quiet, spotlessly clean, and virtually brand new! Tastefully decorated, right down to the woollen throws on the beds. Fully appointed kitchen, including dishwasher!

How new it was

Our unit was facing the road and quite noisy, it was also not close to the parking spaces so quite a haul across the grass to our unit. Our friends who also stayed had a carpark right outside their unit. Layout of such a new motel hadn't been well through. Unfortunately, in the morning the motel was impacted by a burst water main elsewhere in Murchison, the communication was not great from management and the apology (although not their fault) was not volunteered readily or any alternative options/suggestions given.
