I love the house. That's the only positive thing I have to say. if you are looking to go off the grid. Without signing up for it. Like total disconnect from civilization, this is your place. Here's a beautiful property that is a sore spot for me. The house looks exactly like the photos. It's in the Chiquibull national forest. You need a good 4×4 to access this remote home. They don't tell you that in the ad. The turnover was so poorly done that I needed local assistance to locate the place. This is where my problem arises. The wifi in Belize can be spotty in remote areas. The host gave a text that just kept sending a repeating check-in message with what I assume are coordinates in a country with spotty wifi in secluded areas. We called the local number sent. No answer. Full mailbox. It's 90°and we've driven a few hours. We get local directions to the location and arrive at the guard gate. The guard told me that it's not his job to show me my house because they don't pay him enough or cover his gas. And that it's easy to get lost in the subdivision. He is absolutely correct because the signs are faded to nothing and not consistent. So my being a Belizean home on holiday was the only reason I was able to navigate getting there and making that guard show us our home without feeling obligated to pay a bribe. Then the fun started. We had wifi for 1 hr, then 3 days of nothingness. And the road is unpaved for the entire trip from the moment you leave the highway. About 7 miles of severe red dust clouds and lots of gravel hitting everywhere. I finally went into Hopkins proper. bought the internet, and sent a complaint. The person who dealt with it did her best to figure out the awful check In. And tried to fix it. The local team dropped the ball, in my opinion. Then, the joy of discovering a mouse residing in the kitchen and nibbling all our food we had just brought in. Another loss.

The house has a mouse living in the kitchen. they need to add a washer and dryer because the home is so remote. Pool missing quite a few tiles.
