We stayed for one night and really enjoyed the stay. We were welcomed so warmly, had a nice and clean room, a warm shower and a delicious fruit salad for breakfast with an amazing view over the lake. Definitely recommend!

L'hostal Wara Uta est un endroit très sympa. La terrasse et le restaurant (pour le petit déjeuner) donne sur le lac. C'est tres agréable. La propriétaire est incroyablement gentille. Excellent rapport qualité-prix !!

Elle nous dit qu'il faut 20 minutes de marche pour aller du port à l'hostal. Faites attention si vous n'êtes pas dans une bonne forme physique. Nous avons mis 1h pour y arriver et c'était laborieux

Really nice hosts and a stunning view! Like mentioned before it's a good idea to come with just a (small) backpack because of the steep walk uphill. We were informed about that by the hosts before we came and loved our stay :-)

Great location, just off the witch market. Breakfast and rooftop restaurant was lovely. Staff very friendly and willing to help where they can. Good value for money ended up having a whole room to myself and booked on an extra day with ease.

The staff is friendly. It's run by a local family. The little girl sometimes takes charge and she is very helpful and polite.

Property had an amazing view of the lake and mountains. Also close by to restaurants. Rooms were warm and very clean. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was also great!

The long walk up the hill was tough… so make sure to leave your big luggage at your hostel in Copacabana. While the walk was annoying it was totally worth it for the view.

Beautiful large comfortable rooms with large bathroom and hot shower. The lady that ran the hostel was friendly and made a lovely breakfast. Very close to lovely restaurants for watching the sunset. As other people have mentioned- this is a STEEP walk uphill to get to the hostel so only being necessary luggage for your time in Isla del sol, leave backpacks in Copacobana!

Great location! Steps away from restaurants on the other side of the hill to watch sunset from, and all we had to do in the morning was open the curtains to watch the sunrise. Breakfast was delicious and we were allowed to store our bags while we went exploring for the day. Lots of blankets to keep warm and warm shower!

Just a note to be aware that it is a bit of a hike so be prepared and take it slow!

Nice room. Clean and cosy. Its a small family owned place. They were kind but not talking so much. Almost at top of the island with a nice view, especially from the breakfast room.

As a solo traveller I would have liked some kind of common room to sit in the evening. But theres a lot of nice restaurants nearby, so not a big problem

Very clean, family run and they were very kind and helpful. The view from the dinning room was spectacular. I had expected to be cold at night but the room wasn’t cold and there were plenty of blankets to stay warm.

Just be aware the hostel (and main town) are at the top of a steep hill, gives you a great view and near to restaurants and 2 viewpoints but to bear in mind when bringing luggage!

Very helpful staff. Let us have late check out as my partner was sick, and allowed us to stay at reception for the day til our night bus. Free teas and coffee all day.

It's 15 minute walk from the centre, but there's a market nearby.

The location of hotel is right at the top of the island with great views. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable, with nice beds for a good night's sleep. The breakfast is basic but includes a little bit of eggs and a fruit salad.

The room doesn't really have any storage space, so your clothes and bags are lying on the floor or the single chair. The wifi was not great, and the shower heater was not very strong.

Excellent view on lake Titicaca. Breakfast was delicious. We could leave our backpacks after checkout to go for another hike. The family is very kind and friendly :) The shower was warm and Wi-Fi was quite good. We enjoyed a coca tea on the terrace in the sun. 200m away there are several really good restaurants with a perfect sunset view (Las Velas, Pachamama). Advise: the walk up the Island (30-40min) is very steep! Better deposit your big backpack in a hostel in Copacabana and only bring the stuff you need for the stay on Isla del Sol! Also, the sun is really intense up at 4000m, don’t forget your hat/cap/sombrero ;) Also, it gets pretty cold at night.

Although it is up high from the port, the views are beautiful. Another advantage is that it’s close to where the sunset bars and restaurants are. The owners and their daughter, Wara, are sweet and very attentive. The place is incredibly clean, with new rugs, sheets and good lighting. It has a fresh feeling. The breakfast is good and served in a room with big windows looking over the lake. I would have stayed sn extra day if I hadn’t already made other plans to be in La Paz. I slept like a

Bathroom was outside and around the corner. ps- would be difficult to stay here if you have a lot of luggage or mind walking uphill with many bags.

Some of the best views in Yumani from your room maybe ten feet from the top of this part of Isla del Sol. Spacious rooms, hot showers, good WiFi, a satisfying small breakfast, and a really quite lovely host. We regretted not being able to stay longer.

The beds were on the soft side but not a deal breaker for us. Mainly people should be aware just how high up the place is—try to pack light and be prepared for a climb but the views are worth it.

Very difficult to get attention of staff. They messaged us re arrival time then left us waiting outside with no one around for 1.5 hours. This wouldn’t have been an issue if they had said they wouldn’t be there until later but they specifically asked when we would arrive then I could not get through on phone or message. Finally their (7 year old?) daughter arrived back from school and let us in. Didn’t actually see the owners until breakfast the next day. Difficult if you need anything from them…

Wara Uta is super cute. Our room was huge and spotless - the beds were cosy and the view of the lake was wonderful. it’s very quiet (apart from a couple of donkeys) and the breakfast was the best we’ve had during our time in Peru/Bolivia.

We didn’t have any hot water but our host did explain it’s hard to come by!

Comfortable bed, warm blankets, great breakfast and very lovely host. Good restaurants near by and great location to start the camino del norte.

The staff were wonderful. The breakfast was made to order. I had a great view of the lake from my room, and I especially liked it that my room had donkeys next to it. If you arrive from the Sun temple, it’s not bad to get to, but of course, like all properties, coming from the Yumani port, it’s a an uphill adventure against altitude. If you want to go to Las Velas, it’s the perfect location because it is the closest accommodation. Since may be walking through the forest on your way back and need a flashlight, it’s very easy to find your way back. It’s also on the way to one of the lookout points from which it’s about 10 minutes to get there. The path to it continues past Las Velas.
