Upside: good commo with owners and prompt resolution to difficulties operating the TV. Great views and nice beach although lots of people on the beach. Nice and close to Lincoln City and Depo bay restaurants. Adequately stocked for cooking and nice that the cleaners leave spices and cooking oil incoming guests.
Downside: Carpet was very dirty and needs to be replaced.
The unit is immediately adjacent to an RV Park so dogs barking, and lots of people on the beach. I saw one review that said "very quiet location". That must be a review on a different house.
The internet is slow during the day and in the evenings is down to 1-3 Mbps making it quite frustrating to watch a movie. My scanner showed 14 active connections on the router and we were only using 3 phones and one TV. So obviously the internet is shared among other units. Also the water heater must be shared as well as some times it would run out of hot water quickly and sometimes it wouldn't.

We booked this unit along with 2 others (one on the lower level and one next door) for a family reunion. The location in Bella Beach is perfect. The unit we were in (Whales Tale) has a stunning view of the ocean and is steps away from the sand. Our unit was in good shape for the most part. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean and the top floor bedroom was quite nice. The washer had a musty smell but front-loaders often do. The lower level needs a refresh. The bathroom is a bit musty and the carpet in both bedrooms is stained. The bedding also needs to be changed out. These are relatively minor issues as the unit was well-maintained for the most part and well-appointed. The check in process from the property management company was seamless. So overall I'd rank the top floor as 5 stars and the lower floor as 4 stars. We would definitely return again and hope that the lower level gets some updating.

We Love Depoe Bay, Bella Beach and Whale's Tale! Two of my siblings, their spouses and I enjoyed a week whale watching (spied some from the deck), shopping, cooking (well equipped kitchen), fishing, and just spending time together in this beautiful, well maintained home. The home was well stocked with necessities for an 8 day stay. We have been coming to Bella Beach for many years, and are already looking forward to next year!

We had a wonderful weekend at Whale Tale. Very clean, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you would need.
Note, the hot tub can accommodate two people at one time.
If you have small children, I would bring a gate for the top of the stairs. They are located between the living room and kitchen.

Nice place overall. My three observations are, washing machine is covered in mold which lowers the cleanliness rating for me as I’m not a fan of mold washed sheets and towels. Second, the kitchen supplies are weak. If you plan to cook much, you have limited tools, and those available are very low quality, some of the utensils are cheap dollar store grade plastic that melt when used. Lastly, the router is tucked away at the furthest end of the house in the garage leaving a weak single upstairs. I was constantly kicked from Teams/Zoom calls which was extremely frustrating.

Overall the place was great and comfortable! You cannot beat the location or the view. Quiet area as well with easy access to the beach. Good amount of space for 6 people comfortably.
Biggest downside for us this time around was one of the bedrooms downstairs did not feel like it has been cleaned and there was hair all over the sheets so had to wash them right away. The upstairs bathroom also had hair all over the mat and in the shower so we had to clean those too. Upstairs space is beautiful and felt clean. Downstairs space felt like it could use a little love.
Again, a great place overall. Management was very responsive when I did text. Kitchen has everything you really could need. The pictures show a leather couch but this was not there…there was a blue fabric couch which maybe was added for extra sleeping. Loved the balconies!

This property was beautiful in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood of other vacation properties. We felt very welcome! There were 6 of us traveling, as well as a little dog. The villa was well appointed, private, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Really impressed with the size of the main living area and kitchen. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. I can't wait to come back again!

The house was very nice. It was totally clean and very comfortable. The BEST part of the house is the view! It is just perfect. We sat outside on the deck and watched the ocean every night. It was fantastic. I highly recommend this house…we will visit again and I have shared it with many friends already!

We booked the beautiful Whale's Tale for a 4 day family reunion . It was truly the nicest home we have ever rented. Not only is it right on the ocean, with a knockout view, but had everything we could possibly need, and more! It was immaculate, the kitchen had everything we needed, and we will definitely be back again.Thank you iTrip for making it so easy and delightful. We love this place! This was our third stay at the whales tale. We have now started a tradition of visiting every Thanksgiving! Very clean and has the most beautiful views.

We loved the location of this home! Right on the beach with awesome views of the ocean. Easy beach access. The home itself is beautiful. Well stocked and clean. The only negative is the downstairs bathroom. Not ideal for four adults to share -- it's more of a "kiddy" bathroom.

I wish I could rate this higher but there was a tremendous amount of pet hair and what appeared to be a pretty fresh pet urine spot in one of the downstairs bedrooms. I would recommend removing the carpet on the stairs and downstairs if pets are going to be allowed. We didn’t call anyone we just wiped down the window sills and kept the downstairs doors open for fresh air, we also kept the upstairs slider open, the view is incredible. I knew it was pet friendly but it was a little too much pet for us.

This is a wonderful location between Depoe Bay and Lincoln City. The beach is marvelous with lots and families and whales and seals. The house is lovely. The property is due for updating since it is showing signs of wear. It is still a good choice for a restful getaway. The mangers are very responsive.

We LOVED our stay at Whale's Tale at Bella Beach. We had 3 siblings and 2 spouses for a mini family get together and all of us agreed it is our new favorite vacation destination. The house is well equipped and very clean. We watched whales right from the balcony!

One reason we booked this house was the fact that it had a hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub was completely cloudy and dirty. We were unable to use it, that was a disappointment. I figured with the early check out time and late (5pm) check in time they would have ample time to clean and put new water in that small of a hot tub. Other than that the house has an amazing view.

Invited some friends but they ended up having to work. The place was great ! Rite on the beach with amazing views to get up in the morning to and have some coffee on the top deck . Couldn’t be a more perfect location for watching the waves! The house itself if beautiful, clean, well-appointed and in a wonderful little community. The French cafe was a great bonus. We stayed for three nights the week before Christmas and had a lovely time! The house is beautiful and the views are incredible! Short walk to the beach or just stay tucked into the cozy house in front of the fire. Dont forget to relax in the hot tub! Thanks for a great time!

Wonderful Beachfront two story townhouse. Light and spacious. Just feet to the beach. Beautifully appointed home and a wonderful place to relax. Two decks with a hot tub on one. Serenaded but the crashing surf. Nestled in a lovely community of homes we imagined date back to generations of families with wonderful memories of times together. We couldn’t have been happier and so appreciate we were able to bring our dog along with us. She of course loved the beach. We plan to return in the summer hopefully but it’s still a lovely stay in the winter as well.

I loved the view of this wave filled oasis. The weather was slightly raining and it didn’t hinder our experience at all. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub and jetted tub was awesome for relaxation. We didn’t even use the extra two bedrooms.

This home is beautiful with an awesome ocean view. It is probably the best equipped vacation rental that we have ever stayed at. The bottle of wine was A very nice gift; the extra dog toys and treats for our dog which she enjoyed; beach toys for the kids; bikes to ride and even rain coats if needed. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely rent this home again in the near future.

Directly on the beach. One house over from the beach access. Stunning views of the ocean. Minutes to Depoe Bay and super close to Lincoln City. Easy check in and leaving process. I will say I read the listing wrong and thought the big hot tub was for our unit, but that was my own fault. Does come with hot tub still, a two people size on the second floor balcony. Didn’t use the kitchen for cooking, but seemed to be well stocked if you needed it. There’s also an adorable/delicious cafe within walking distance. Great quiet neighborhood. There is an RV park directly on the other side of the fence, but couldn’t even hear them hardly at all. 10 out of 10 for sure as the location itself is really a showstopper.

From the sound and view of the waves, to beautifully appointed home this place worked out perfectly for us. My colleagues, who are my friends, & I gathered to stream our national convention and it was just perfect. While we were glued to the screen much of the time, we had the beautiful backdrop of the Oregon Coast in our backyard. We spent much time on the deck, walking on the beach, and going out for some fabulous food at local restaurants.
The kitchen was well appointed, beds comfortable, and until was really nice. We were happy to see the bikes in the garage, but never got around to using them. Next time! I'd like to return with my family sometime.
