Our kids grew up vacationing with their grandparents at a lake in VA, and we aim to repeat some of that experience for them and their kids (our grandchildren). This house was well suited for sleeping several family groups, and the kids' room as a huge bonus space over the garage was perfect for the grands. The house is very well stocked. The dock served well for deep-water mooring and play. Note that the path to the dock is steeply sloped flagstone, but on two nice days even the great-grandparents managed it with some effort. Location on a slough is great for protected swimming and kayaking but there's no walk-in point to the water. The owner was quick to respond to questions. We will definitely consider another visit!

Great house. We were a group of six adults and three teens. Plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the screened porch. The dining table was a bit small for our group so we took chairs onto the porch and ate from our laps most nights. Not a problem. It was nice to have the grill. The dock was perfect as we had a boat for the week. We were surprised there were no beach/lake towels in the home for us to use but thankfully our parents were driving instead of flying and brought some. Would definitely stay here again. Debby was easy to reach and responsive when we had a question.

We had a great time and really celebrated our entire family could finally be together after these last few difficult years. The house is beautiful and very roomy for our group of eight. The owner/rental manager were very helpful with any questions we had. Also recommend Terrace View Marina for dinner and especially dessert…such a friendly place.

We loved this home. There was plenty of room for all 11 of us aged 11 to 73. The kitchen was well stocked. Anything that we needed to prepare meals was there with ample dishes and dinnerware. Everything about the house was wonderful especially the outdoor screened porch. We spent a lot of time there. The kitchen and bathrooms included plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, etc. We loved too that there was garbage pickup and we didn't have to take our garbage to a recycling site when we left the home. The two adults who were in their 70s found the walkway to the boat dock a little steep especially at the bottom. We probably wouldn't have been able to do it without the handrail. The other women in our group bragged about how their calves were becoming more firm. LOL The dock was great. We actually caught several fish at the dock including a 6 pound 25 inch catfish. It seems ridiculous to suggest something given how beautiful this home is but adding a light above or sconces behind the dining room table would lighten that area a lot. It seemed dark in that corner of the room. The younger folks played video games and ping pong. The outdoor lighting is excellent and we loved the option of turning the dock lights off and on from the house. The master bathroom was the envy of everyone in our group. You have to see it to appreciate it. In summary everyone in our family loved the house and location and wants to return there in the future.

We enjoyed the beautiful home, very spacious. All of the bedrooms were large and nicely done. The kitchen was nice and well equipped. The short walk to the dock was very steep but there is a railing. Our teens enjoyed their own space and drove down to the nearby park to play basketball. Lots of parking space.

The house was amazing for the short time we got to stay. Beautiful view, cozy beds, and plenty of space. The management of the property was right there to take care of any problems. I would definitely recommend this property

Beautiful house with beautiful views. The screened in porch was the perfect place to relax and watch the boys fish off of the pier. Beds were very comfortable and the kids loved the downstairs game room. Debby answered all of our questions and was so helpful. Had everything we needed and we will definitely be back!

Terrific house, even when cool in November.

This house was immaculately clean. We had everything we needed for cooking meals, the view was amazing and tranquil. We brought some kayaks with us and we’re able to enjoy the lake. Wonderful house.

This house is so sweet for a family get away. We had everything we needed. I only wish the weather was better for more lake time. We did get to take a swim for a afternoon. The water was deep which was fun, but definitely recommend a life vest or floatation device. The yard needed mowing but if that was the only thing, we will take it. Beds were great. Towels were great. The screened in porch was fantastic for our rainy weekend! We loved the garage and the laundry room. I was able to get my laundry done before heading home (less to do when getting home). Would recommend this home!

Perfect house for a lake trip. Surrounded by trees, secluded from neighbors, nice stone walkway with railing down to the dock. Very quiet lake. Clean property, easy check-in/check-out process, owners were responsive. No issues and a great trip!

This was a perfect place to get away for the weekend with some friends. Plenty of space for everyone, in a quiet area, and close to a grocery store. House also has everything you need to cook your meals

Beautiful home on a lake with plenty of room for everyone. Spacious screened in porch was wonderful for hanging out without the worry of any bugs. Living room isn't very big for watching tv/movies and the master bedroom bed is extremely hard and uncomfortable. Not much to do nearby but we weren't looking to do a lot while we were there. Went to Nicks Lakeside Grill and the food was excellent however the service was slow due to our large group. Floated on the lake every day we were there and thank goodness for the water because it was so hot & humid. The walkway down to lake is extremely steep and made it hard to haul coolers/tubes back and forth. Overall it was a great trip and the house/location worked well for our relaxing girls trip getaway.

Week stay. House was nice, no restaurants or shopping close so shopping was a planned adventure. Property had a few minor issues, but nothing too major. Manager controlled thermostat which was odd, wouldn’t let us set below 72, even though nothing on the contract stated we couldn’t access thermostats. Hill to the dock is very steep, no steps so might be issue for those who have mobility issues. Followed directions for check out and was messaged about using all the towels and bed linens, but we were there for a week and left them as requested (near laundry room). Overall good stay but felt like big brother was watching and overly critical.

Our family of 6 adults and 1 pre-teen greatly enjoyed our stay at the lake house! We loved relaxing on the lake, which was very quiet and private, and we also loved that the game room downstairs was well-insulated so that those of us who were night owls could enjoy conversations at full volume, music, and foosball without disturbing the family members who had gone to bed early. The screened-in porch was wonderful as well!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The home was as expected, very clean and well-stocked. As others mentioned, the walk to the lake is quite steep, so keep that in mind. The lake itself is nice and very quiet. Though we were there in July, there was practically not another soul out there!

We enjoyed out stay at this property. It is located in a great place. Very new property and very clean.

Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Super clean and had everything you could want or need. Loved spending time on the screened in porch (especially listening to the rain one night) and swimming and fishing off the dock. We stayed with 9 adults and there was plenty of room. Couldn’t recommend more!

There was 13 in my party and we had plenty of room. The house was fantastic and very roomy. Right on the lake and we had a ball all 4 days. We will be back for sure. Thanks Sam

Not for families who cant walk a steep hill to the lake. We had 4 adults, 3 teens, 2 pre-teens. This house was large enough to sleep all of us comfortably and a few more as long as some do not mind sharing rooms, but plenty beds and 4 huge bean bags. The hosts responded to all our requests/questions promptly. We did have a hiccup or two but all were handled professionally and satisfactory. We loved the screened porch and plenty of space to hang out together and separately. Really loved swimming whenever we want and did not mind the walk at all. Although there are some neighbors, it still felt mostly private. Not far from groceries and gas. We absolutely had the best time and would love to stay again. We are so grateful for the space to spend time with family we don't get to see often. Only thing better would be if we'd had a boat, but unnecessary since you can fish and swim off the dock. My husband was so excited to get some fishing time in finally.

We hope to use this place again to bring all of our family together for some special memories.
