December in Gloucester can be gloomy and grey. We know. We’ve lived here for decades. But you don’t care if you’re staying here! We barely left! The house was everything we hoped and more. The decks, exploring the grounds, and learning more about **** ***** ******* than we already knew. And the view is just unbeatable. Point Radio cottage is a MUST STAY place. Only improvement I would suggest is a full sized coffee pot.

We had a wonderful stay in Gloucester. The home was so comfortable and welcoming. An easy walk to the ocean. We really enjoyed getting acquainted with the local area. Everything you could possibly need is within a 5 minute drive. Loved it.😊

Unique location with terrific views! Perfect for two people (or three with a minor) and a dog. Many great walking trails nearby.

Location and view was amazing. Cottage was clean and bright with very sheer window coverings(if any). That being said, check with the homeowner before booking. We were greeted by construction workers/landscapers when we got there, and throughout our stay, making it very uncomfortable. We had a worker right outside the cottage (using garden hose) so close to the window in the powder room that I could've opened the window and touched him (keep in mind very little window coverings). We had to jockey our car around to accommodate their truck and equipment. They also woke us up our very first morning at 7 AM shoveling bricks into a wheelbarrow. NOT the peace, quiet and privacy we were looking for. While I understand that the property must be maintained, they should not allow bookings while doing so, or at least warn you of what will be going on. We would not have booked if we knew this in advance. Soo, the cottage itself was beautiful, location was great, privacy was non existent. Our experience was VERY disappointing and I'm sure we won't be back. Gave 3 stars only because 2.5 isn't an option.

Had we known there was no ac we would not have stayed at this gorgeous home. During a stifling hit and humid week the fans just blew the wet air around and made us feel like we were living inside a cloud. There was no indication in their posting that there was no ac….. we learned of it right before coming out there.

This was one of my favorite places . I don't know how I can go back to Gloucester and NOT stay here. The cottage is great, the view is fantastic and its walking distance to Stage Fort park. My husband was afraid he would have to pry my clenched fingers from the door frame to get me out of there.

Come for the breeze and the views alone. Stay to enjoy the great food and artsy or outdoorsy (take your pick) activities the region offers. Bonus - the owners are absolutely fabulous and very knowledgeable about things to do and see in the area.

Fabulous location and view It was spotless - even the outdoor furniture! All the needed amenities were available. We’re partial to having air conditioning which we only really needed the 1st day. Also, we like watching TV in the family room so with there was a 2nd TV. Other than that, the place is perfect. We’d stay again but probably stick to cooler months.

Everything about the places was better than expected and the best place we ever stayed at.

The setting of the house was perfect. Like something out of a movie. I loved not being distracted by a TV downstairs. My wife and I talked while looking out over the cape. There is a TV upstairs for folks wanting one, but with the views, you really don't need it. It's about a mile and a half to town. We enjoyed the walk and it made us feel better about eating too much:) For people like us that are unfamiliar with the area, the house is not air conditioned, but they do have fans and we slept with the windows and screen door open and made it just fine.

My husband and I spent a few days at Point Radio Cottage for our 20th anniversary. It was a perfect getaway for us (and our dog). The grounds of the cottage are absolutely beautiful, including gorgeous flower beds, stonework, grassy areas with a hammock and a table overlooking the cottage and the water. The inside of the cottage was immaculate and so inviting and homey. Every comfort had been provided and went beyond what a hotel would offer. Fresh ground coffee from a nearby coffeeshop was on the counter when we arrived. The beautiful kitchen was well stocked with paper towels, sponge, dish and hand soap, oils for cooking, even a few box mixes if you were inclined to bake, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, tea pot, dishwasher. There were throw blankets around if needed. We were working during our stay and there was a very comfortable office chair that could be used. The bathrooms were stocked with more than enough soap, towels, shampoo, conditioner. There was a hair dryer provided. There was ceiling fan above the bed and two other fans that could be moved around the house as needed. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The two decks provided amazing views of the harbor. The top deck has two lounge chairs and the bottom deck has a pub style table with two chairs. The house is within walking distance to Stage Fort Park that continues on to a really nice walk along the harbor. My favorite part was hearing the waves all day and night. I can't say enough about Point Radio Cottage and would definitely consider returning to do more exploring around the Gloucester area.

Awesome view. Watching and listening to the water was so peaceful and relaxing. Everything in the home was perfectly set up. We were really impressed with the cleanness as well as the amazing landscape on the property. Would love to stay there again the next time we visit

The views, the history and location made this an incredible vacation. The unit was spotless. The grounds were so well manicured and maintained. Located next door to a park. Hearing the waves at night was magical! Having heavy fog for the first couple of days made it mystical! We can't wait to rebook. Thank you to Jacob for having such a beautiful place and allowing us to share it!

This house was just what we needed after our busy stay in Salem during October. The views are spectacular from the cottage, there were a ton of smaller, non-chain, restaurants to try, and there were walking trails right out the front door of the cottage to enjoy. My daughter and I really enjoyed this relaxing break in this cottage with so much history surrounding its construction.

Radio Point Cottage is an incredible home; perched atop Gloucester Bay with gorgeous water views from the rooms. It’s a place where history and charm meet elegance. The grounds of the estate are stunning as well. Everything you need is there, and the bed/pillows are so comfy. We had the pleasure of watching a bald eagle as a bonus! It’s within walking distance to beautiful downtown with restaurants and shops, yet completely private.

Wow this place was just beautiful! We had such a lovely time and the views are breathtaking. Very clean and we enjoyed it very much! Highly recommend!!!!

Our king weekend at Point Radio Cottage was truly magical. First, it had everything we needed and was perfect for two (though it would have been comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children as well). But it was the spectacular location and views above the waters of W. Gloucester Harbour that made this such a special place. We did not want to leave. We were also walking distance to downtown Gloucester but driving and parking were easy during the early fall season.

I stayed at the cottage with my Westie and we had the best time! Sweet place and lovely hosts. We look forward to our return next summer.

Unique cottage with a rich history perched up high on a stone structure overlooking the ocean. Breathtaking views of Gloucester. A beautiful property and wonderful owners/ hosts. Peaceful and refreshing with 2 outside patios. Clean, comfortable and cozy. Great amenities. Everything careful thought out. Beach and picnic area is a short 5 minute walk. Will be my go to place when I return for another get-a-away. Just wonderful!!

Amazing property with wonderful hosts! Top notch experience, the owners have thought of everything. The uniqueness of this cottage was enhanced by an amazing attention to detail. Every amenity you could want right down to fresh roasted and newly ground coffee waiting in the fully equipped kitchen. Linens were clean, crisp, and plentiful. Both the location and view were beyond spectacular. My only regret was that we could not stay longer. Thanks for an unforgettable vacation, Point Radio Cottage!

Wonderful experience in a beautiful location.

This was the perfect place to recharge and relax! Gorgeous inside and out! We has our little dog, and the immaculate grounds were perfect for walks. We cant wait to go back!

Outstanding property, couldn’t have chosen a more gorgeous, clean, and interesting home to stay in on our visit. The owner of the property was very friendly when we arrived but we also didn’t have to see anyone the entire time, they stayed out of our way. Incredible views. Very romantic but still great for our two children who are 3 and 8. I didn’t want to leave here. Made me feel like I was staying in The Hamptons. Only a couple minutes walk to beaches and the adorable little town. Plenty of necessities provided. We will definitely come back.
