A dream- A nice house with so much space- in doors and out! great bedrooms and full size baths. The yard the dock the scenery and the pool house with the above ground pool recessed in the ground. Excellent!

Our son got married to a wonderful woman and we couldn’t be happier! The house and property is amazing. We had family travel from across the U.S. If you’re seeking a spot to stay , this is it! The Carolina Girl, the weather, and area made this week of memories something that will be cherished!

Property was great. House was great. Owner responded quickly to any question and was very accommodating.Wi-Fi was intermittent and we had some trouble streaming movies at night.I’d go back any time.

The rooms were clean and comfy. Plenty of room for cooking and eating with family. The kids and uncle enjoyed the dock and fishing.

Upon pulling up to the house and seeing the view that we got to look at for the next few days, it was amazing. The sunsets were remarkable. The weather was perfect. The house was fully equipped and everything was clean and accommodating for my whole family. I couldn’t ask for a better place to spend time with our loved ones.

Lots of space. Great kitchen. Nice decks and river access. Great for large gathering. We had a great time. Great location to beach, downtown Charleston, and sites to see.

We had a great stay and all came away with special memories. We even caught a shark off the dock. Deedee was very responsive to any questions that came up. This was the perfect place for us! Thank you!

We rented Didi’s house as part of our wedding weekend. We both are born and raised in Charleston and currently live on James Island. However, we want we knew we wanted somewhere for all of our gas to gather before the day of the wedding and through the weekend. The house was absolutely spectacular. The view was even better! All the beautiful upgrades and extra amenities were a plus. The kids were kept busy, whether it was in the heated pool, or in the pool house area with all the games, we’re on the outside swing, which was fabulous. The adults enjoyed the beautiful views, while sipping on some beverages while the guys were able to utilize the pool house, kitchen and grill for cooking while enjoying the amazing property outside. they were plenty of rooms for all of our guests and absolutely fabulous linens towels, and the mattresses were amazing! We highly recommend this property for anyone who is coming to visit Charleston or even for those in Charleston looking for a little bit of a staycation. Deedee, thank you times a million for allowing us to rent your amazing home!! We hope to be able to do it again sometime soon!!

Our 5 nights here was perfect for us. Our family was able to hang out with each other and this property gave us plenty of space to do that in. Deedee was responsive and informative. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

We were a group of 13 cousins and aunts and uncles, ranging in age from ~25 to 90. We were in town for a wedding, and also had a 90th birthday for my Dad at the house. Perfections: single-level living, access to the outdoors, plenty of rooms and bathrooms, catching crabs off the dock, parking for family staying elsewhere. Our host was so helpful, communicative, and pulled together baking dishes before our arrival, etc. Thank you!

Perfect. I could go on and on, but it really can be summarized with the word perfect. It host big crowds incredibly comfortably, it’s quiet and has more than enough to enjoy a southern getaway without even having to leave the address. 12/10.

Had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful property! Boys (11 years old) never wanted to leave the property! Loved fishing and crabbing off the dock, kayaking in the river, cooking s’mores in fire pit. We had a great low country boil with crabs caught in one day! Girls (13 years old) loved all of the above as well as shopping in Kiawah and Charleston. House is well equipped, had plenty of space for the ELEVEN of us, and owner was very communicative and available to help with anything we may need. I highly recommend this property!

Host / Owner Deedee Turner was fantastic and very easy to work with. There was plenty of things to do on property with our 3 grandchildren ages 4 to 8 and our 3 sons and our 3 beautiful Daughters-in- Law. We had a wonderful week's vacation. The accommodations were amazing and having the pool was great. Everything was very well stocked. Worked out wonderful for 7 adults and 6 children. Would love to book again. Thank you Deedee for the great family memories.

There were unexpected extras there that made our stay so convenient- board games and puzzles, in stock items that you usually have to buy at the grocery store, even a welcoming gift bag. The pool was so relaxing and the view is beautiful. The house was perfect for our family of five adults and two fur babies.

This well appointed home with generous parking and awesome gathering spaces was ideally located and provided a comfortable setting for a large family gathering, and would work equally well if hosting an outdoor special event. The few issues that we encountered were promptly and graciously addressed by the host. Before returning, I'd double check to make sure that PFDs were available when using the kayaks.

We caught crabs by the dozens daily with the traps provided. From the covered dock, we caught Redfish on the marsh, Whiting, Croakers, Spots, and other fish we used as bait. To say we enjoyed our stay on John’s Island would be an understatement. We booked this property last minute for the holiday weekend. We wanted to explore the area and this property was the perfect place to experience SC low country. I have 3 young boys, ranging in ages from 7-14. We spent the days out on the beautiful dock over the river - fishing, kayaking and relishing the beauty of the area. We caught eels, trout, red fish, hermit crabs and stingrays. We feasted on the dozens of blue crabs we caught in the traps provided. We ate our dinners in the large backyard with the most beautiful sunsets. Was incredible to watch the dolphins in the river come in and out of the grasslands with the tides. The pool was a welcome relief from the heat after spending so much time out on the dock. The house is extremely clean and beautiful inside - the pictures don’t do it justice. Comfortable beds, beautiful furniture, good quality bed and bath linens and plenty of room entertain in the large kitchen/dining room. The pool house also has an additional full kitchen, 1/2 bath and plenty of room for playing games and entertaining. DeeDee was warm and welcoming, a real pleasure to work with. There is a big pride of ownership on this property and it is a true gem. WiFi is a little bit spotty at times, but it wasn’t a big deal as we preferred to spend our time disconnected and outside. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. 15 mins from Charleston, 25 mins to Folly Beach.

I would point out the property’s cell coverage was minimal and the listing showed the property had internet but for some reason the host wouldn’t give us a WiFi password so outside communications was poor. Otherwise the host was very responsive. One other annoyance was the pool cleaners came one night unannounced at 9:30 pm to service the pool. Plenty of restaurants, retail,and churches nearby.

Two families of 4 and grandparents enjoyed this location for a last minute getaway. The house and property were very clean and accommodated our needs. The pier and dock is an added bonus for those who are interested in fishing. Great location being close to Charleston, Kiawah Island, and Freshfields Village.
