Located just a few minutes' walk from the River Seine and a short stroll from Notre Dame, it's fair to say this Bastille home puts you in the heart of the city. The mismatched vintage objects and artwork throughout reflect the owners' artistic sensibilities (one is a former photographer) and we were fond of the lived-in vibe of the living spaces. With stairs to the entrance and a winding staircase within the home, it's not ideal for those with limited mobility – that said, the higher position grants lovely views of the local area. And while it's unspectacular, the small terrace lets you slip away for a few minutes to yourself. Home truths: *This home has air-conditioning in the sitting room and studio only. *There are stairs up to the entrance of this home and no elevator. *The curtains in the master and second bedrooms do not completely block out daylight. *The two single beds in the second bedroom can be set up together as a double bed. If you would like this done, let your host know at the time of booking. *This home is spread over two floors, with no internal lift. *There is a trundle bed available in the second bedroom. Let your host know if you want this to be made up for your stay. There is also a cot here. *The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. *The sofa in the office/studio is awaiting repair and cannot be used.
