The host was wonderful and had lots of great suggestions for snorkeling, eating, beaches etc. the air conditioning in the bedrooms was great and I loved the open plan with incredible views off both the upstairs and downstairs. There was a nice pool but we didn’t use it since we stayed out hiking and snorkeling each day. The drive up was quite steep and I am glad we rented a Jeep . I would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous views to the southeast over Cruz Bay from bedroom deck and lower, main floor deck. Is fairly high up mountain. All amenities, appliances worked well, except mosquito screens, some of which don't actually close inside from outside at screen rollers. May be the best bedroom for sleeping I've ever encountered. Landlord was very nice, helpful and friendly, a great welcome to St. John's. Would stay there again, next time.

We stayed at Stowaway for a week in January 2023 and had a wonderful time! The villa had everything we needed and the rooms were very comfortable. The breezes and view on the first floor are just amazing - we really enjoyed the sea air! The kitchen is fully stocked, pool is clean and quiet, designated parking spot is a bonus. Check-in was a piece of cake - Marcia was an excellent host and checked on us a few times during our stay to see if we needed anything (which we didn't - everything was there for us!). We're already checking our calendar to book a few weeks at Stowaway - one is never enough!

Our stay at Stowaway was perfect! We loved having a full kitchen with all the supplies we needed to eat breakfast and often, dinner at our place. The beds were very comfortable and a perfect set up for a family of 5. The pool down below was a wonderful way to cool off when we didn’t make the trip down to the beaches. The best part was the view! It was spectacular and I will never forget it. Marcia was very communicative and open to texts whenever we had a question. She even provided us with a list of restaurants and things we had to do for our trip. I couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay at Stowaway (once we got used to the drive up :). Stowaway was a great choice for our family – the views are great, the pool is right below the balcony so we could let the kids go by themselves and still see/hear, it is well stocked/furnished to prepare meals (barbecued a couple of times and the blender is great for making island beverages) and in a private lush setting while still being very close to Cruz Bay. The booking process, helpful information before we got there and arrival/greeting was very smooth, and when we did have a small problem (fan went out in the loft), it was taken care of that day. Overall it was a fantastic vacation and definitely recommend Stowaway!

Stowaway is very well situated on St. John. From the rental you have a great view of the south eastern shores from the balcony. In addition, it is very close to Star Market and town restaurants (5 min drives). The property has a beach vibe and is very spacious for us (2 couples). This place also have most of the amenities that you would expect from the states including washer/dryer + dish washer. While there we recommend all the public northern beaches (Hawknest, Maho, Trunk, Cinnamon, Francis, 20 minutes hike on flat terrain to Waterlemon). The hike to petroglyphs was fun and shaded but neither the petroglyphs nor the beach at the end were highlights. Do it for the hike not the destination. However, the hike at Ram's Head is good. The beach at the beginning/end (Salt Pond Bay) is good. Finally, the rental process with Marcia was easy making the rental process a breeze - Lucas

This was the second time we stayed at Stowaway. Great place for the money. We got married in St John this year and this was our go-to place. Bruce was proactive and very willing to assist us. He picked up a beach umbrella right away after I noticed the one that was there the year before was gone. Highly recommended for the adventurous type!

Our family of 4 (2 teens) had a wonderful 8 day vacation at Stowaway! The location was perfect, and it was spotlessly clean. Communication with the owners was impressively prompt. Marcia was always available throughout the booking process and provided many helpful suggestions. David was a great host who picked us up at the ferry, waited while we checked out our rental, and gave us a tour on the way to the villa. The condo was spacious, and comfortable, with great views from 2 decks. We loved having coffee and baked goods from Baked in the Sun Bakery on the deck while watching a great variety of birds. We felt it necessary to rent a car, and 4WD came in quite handy-highly recommend it for the steep hills and sometimes poorly paved roads that lead to some great beaches. There are so many beaches on the island to explore- our favorites were Hawksnest, Cinnamon Bay, and Francis Bay. The markets and restaurants are expensive, so be prepared. We enjoyed many including Virgin Fire, Sun Dog Cafe, Joe's Rum Hut, Lime Inn (great $4 drinks at happy hour!), The Longboard, Cruz Bay Landing, and Vista Mare. Also, don't pass up Skinny Legs- so much fun! Snorkeling is terrific here, and we saw rays at Hawksnest, and a sea turtle, ray and barracuda at Salt Pond as well as many colorful fish. After adventuring around the island, it was so nice to return to Stowaway for a dip in the clean pool ( we were always the only ones there!). The beds were very comfortable, and the AC's in the bedrooms were key, as well as the new screen doors. Would love to return to Stowaway! Thanks to Marcia, David and Georgia!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Stowaway for 1 week. The views from both decks are AWESOME. Owners are very nice and helpful. They were in contact with us prior to the trip up until the day we arrival. They were BEYOND helpful!! I would 100% stay here again. The condo has everything you need plus some. Only thing they don't have which I didn't mind was Cable TV. We had friends from the wedding party rent out other condos attached to Stowaway which was nice when getting together and using the pool. We had it to ourselves all week. Great place for small family or 2 couples. Its a very open and great breeze. We didn't use the AC at all. Very relaxing and quiet place to stay as well. Thank you Georgia, David, and Marcia!! We highly recommend your condo.

We loved our 9 nights of paradise at the Stowaway. Our family of 4 planned our day around the stunning sunset views. The view of the Bay was breathtaking. Our pictures made all of our Kentucky friends and family quite jealous especially when we got to stay 3 extra days due to airlines snow cancellations. Georgia and David were so helpful throughout our stay. The pool is delightful with very comfortable lounge chairs. Georgia provided coolers, beach towels and beach chairs that we used daily exploring the gorgeous beaches and snorkeling. We wish we were still there.

This place exceeded my expectations. Lots of space and great views. My only compaint was no screen doors on the bedrooms but that is being taken care in a couple weeks! Can't wait to stay here again in December 2016.

Dear Georgia and Marcia, just wanted to thank you both for a most AMAZING week spent in your condo on St. John. We are "regulars" on island and I can't remember spending a better time with a more responsive homeowner. The sole "complaint" would be the lack of screens on the French doors on the main floor and on the sliders in the bedrooms. Fortunately it wasn't a buggy time so all worked out just fine. Our family of 5 just returned from St. John and we're all missing the beautiful views from the Stowaway decks. The kids loved the loft and spent a lot of evening hours playing the board games provided and watching the the pair of falcons that were roosting in the upper deck. We always travel light with carry on luggage, so the stocked toiletries and supplies were fabulous. We also cooked a few meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely revisit Stowaway if our travels bring us back to St. John! Thanks so much for all the helpful information when we were planning our trip!

We've been to Stowaway twice now and can't wait for our third visit. It is one of the best places on the Island, with fantastic views from two balconies, pool, parking and close to Cruz Bay, shopping, the car ferry, you name it. Georgia has a caretaker on the Island so you are always able to connect with someone at a moment's notice and Marcia is on top of things via email. Fantastic property for two couples. Brilliant sunsets, gas grill on the lower patio, kitchen fully equipped, dishwasher, washer dryer, all the comforts of home in a remarkable setting. We have found our paradise.

Another wonderful and relaxing week on St. John and at Stowaway. Always a pleasure to return and enjoy Georgia and David's hospitality. Could not ask for a more beautiful view or more convenient location. We have come to consider Stowaway our home away from home while enjoying a week of total relaxation on St. John. Just returned from our fifth stay at Stowaway! We enjoy it so much we keep coming back!! Georgia and David have thought of everything. Marcia is exceptionally helpful with any prevacation questions. Especially like having early morning coffee on the deck! This year the skies were exceptional! A full moon really brightened up the night and after a quick shower one day, we were blessed with a beautiful double rainbow! Highly recommend a stay on St. John at Stowaway!

We stayed at Stowaway for February school vacation 2015 and this property could not have been better. Georgia and Marcia were extremely helpful. The property comes with almost everything that you could ever need and the location is super convenient. We hope to stay as Stowaway again!

My friend and I spent a week at Stowaway. This was the perfect set up for two single people or two couples as the bedrooms are of equal size and both have their own bath. The condo is bright, clean and has absolutely stunning views of Cruz Bay. We had everything we needed, including beach chairs and towels, which made it so much easier to explore the many beaches of St. John on our own. Even though we were just two of us, we could each find our own spots to sit, relax and enjoy the views. This would easily be a perfect place for two couples. Marcia, her mother Georgia, and our local contact, TBird were all so helpful. They really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Love, love, love Stowaway!
