Easy reachable and not far from highway (relatively quiet despite of). Ideal for one night stay at business travel. Practical, clean, friendly staff ... nothing less, nothing more.

Breakfast as usual by far too expensive. Went downtown, there are breakfast offers not too far away. However, nothing that influences my vote because its the same almost everywhere.

Excellent staff. Friendly, helpful, available. Covered and secure bicycle storage. Quiet, comfortable room, but a bit on the basic side.

The hotel was lovely and modern. The bed,pillows and doona were just gorgeous. So nice to snuggle into the bed. I left the best till last…Robert-Jan was an exceptional host and owner. I had a crash on a bike and he organised a friend who a doctor to come and check me out, he then made an appointment for an emergency doctor for 8:15pm, he then drove me there and waited while I had stitches. He constantly checked I was ok over the 3 days of my stay. When I come back to the Netherlands I will definitely stay at the hotel.

Great location and very accommodating staff. it’s a small hotel at the edge of the city and it was quiet considering the motorway was very close by. loved that we could control our own airco temperature. Also the restaurant recommendation for both ordering food in and also to eat at the city were a very nice touch.

There are small additional touches that would give this place the best score for me: 1. In the shower, there was no place where you could leave your toiletries, they could place a small shelf for that 2. A fridge in every room would be appreciated in case the guests do not want to go down to get a cool drink the whole evening. The staff helped greatly by allowing us to use the hotel fridge but one in the room would definitely be a step up.

Everything was great .. the room is spacious. I lived on the third floor and the room was spacious. We arrived late.. and he was communicating with us and sending me how to enter the hotel. And bring a cot late. The breakfast is suitable, and the village is beautiful and has everything .. Close to Githroon

The location is a bit rural.

We have complained to the hotel on the night of stay, in regards of the noise and guests smoking drugs. Nothing was done. We had to vacate and check into another hotel. We are currently waiting to get a full refund for the inconvenience and money lost with having to book else where.

The rooms were spacious and everything was new and clean with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

One small area for improvement We were at the property at a very quiet time so it was a little difficult for the property to offer a breakfast with a great deal of variety without incurring a lot of wastage so offerings for us were somewhat limited which was understandable. Probably better then to either point us in the direction of a cafe in town or offer a discount explaining the circumstances upon checkin. Nevertheless we still loved our stay here and will definitely return when we are next in the Netherlands.

It's a nice place and the staff is very friendly and doing good job but there are still a few problems with the rooms. The location is the biggest advantage because it's hard to get place to stay near the center of Steenwijk. The other very nice thing were the breakfast where you could ask to get eggs made the way you want.

Unfortunately for the level of quality and amenities the rooms are way overpriced. Almost two times more expensive than other hotels in Steenwijk. In my room there was no coat hanger. I understand the idea to put the TV opposite the bed but in this case the TV was in the middle of the window covering the nice view. The night stands were iron and their drawers were making a lot of noise when used. The light in the room was not very good. And the biggest problem - the water was escaping from the shower and flooding the floor in the bathroom. For this price there should also be some kind of minibar in the room.
