The location is fantastic. The hotel is beautiful but a little worn down. Not sure if it matters what room you get Butt because of its location it’s very noisy at night. At least our city view room was.. the restaurant in the hotel was great and had a fantastic dessert and drink selection.

The rooms were very nice, quite comfortable. There was only 1 elevator working my entire 3 day stay which was annoying. Nice gym. Did not get maid service even though i requested it.

Absolutely beautiful room! Parking was very expensive. They forgot my fruit platter I had ordered. I had asked for a room with a view and received a message from them saying I would get one….I don’t think McDonalds constitutes as a view. Other than that we had an amazing time.

Wonderful experience at this hotel. Towels, chairs, umbrella was provided for free. The beach is located one block and easy access. Our room felt so homey. I definitely would go back!!

The hotel is amazing and a fantastic location! The service staff is fantastic as well very helpful. There’s a brand new restaurant bar right in the center, I had lunch before I checked into my room and it was wonderful. One of my favorite places to stay.

Pier side charged me unreasonably $40 for “amenities fee” without my knowledge. This is not right and I email them twice but no reply. I have to dispute this charge and if that’s their way to provide service, I advise everyone don’t go there….

Really nice hotel in a perfect location near to the Santa Monica pier. There were only two things we found we didn’t like about this property.
1. The hotels restaurant/lounge/breakfast room had really slow service and the food we had there was not good… at all.
2. all the extras they tacked on to the price: mandatory valet parking at $65 per day, resort fees, and a couple other fees we’ve never seen before.

Was surprised with a parking fee when arriving with valet, even though that was not stated upfront. Walked in and couldn’t even get a bottle of water, I was directed to the on-site restaurant to pay five dollars for a water. The pool said it was heated, but it was cold windy, I could not get out of there, fast enough. we had a coupon offer for a free ride at the Santa Monica Pier, the front desk told us we didn’t qualify even though the offer was emailed directly to me. Everybody was super unhelpful and will never stay there again.

Great property but a bit of a let down…
1. Airconditioning not working well.
2. Continental breakfast was definitely not up to par with a room and facilities in this price range. Consisted of a pastry and a cup of tea or coffee. No juice or fruit.
3. When I reserve the room, the price for parking was $50 when I checked out I was told it was now $70. I just told that third-party vendor such as Expedia don’t always update the prices. Personally, I think the hotel should’ve honored the rate at which the reservation was made.
The good…. Location to the Santa Monica pier and Promenade can’t be beat, rooms were very nice and clean and the people very nice.

Beautiful room, great looking bathroom, wonderfully designed lobby.
My stay here was perfect for purposes, which was to have Santa Monica beach accessible. It was walkable but also busy in the evening. Some meal options around the vicinity if desired.
The room was large and accommodated all parties involved and had a good view. The place was clean and had amenities like a work-out room, a pool, and a lounge/bar; it was lacking of a hot tub though. The service was very responsive to requests and they were very personable.
I would recommend staying at this hotel if the beach is what you'd like to enjoy in the area.

Pros: conveniently located, literally across the street from the Pier. You could also borrow tons of things from the front desk (chairs, umbrellas, books, games, record player and records!)
Cons: parking on the property was pricey but there’s a lot on the opposite corner; the pool heater was broken :(
