We booked at the last minute, it was very nice, better than reviews!

Very few things were good about this stay. First thing was that they booked me in a room that was already occupied. The bed was a wreck: fitted sheet didn't really fit, the king mattress overhands then base, it was very hard, and the covers were stacked as 1 top sheet, 1 "blanket" like you'd get at a hospital, and then another top sheet? The towels were like sandpaper. The tub/shower didn't drain very fast so you stand in a couple inches of water while showering. The faucet handles were like that you'd find in an older home on a claw foot tub with large open holes around them in the shower surround. If you didn't hold the handle of the toilet down, it wouldn't flush. I will say that the shower did have excellent pressure and they don't use soft water (I prefer this). The sink was fun; every time you'd turn it on, it would sputter like the line had been empty and splash water all over. One night 4 and 5 the A/C was set to 67, but the room never got below 74. Night 2 I had to have the room key reprogrammed to allow entry into the building, night 3 I couldn't get in the building or my room. They said the readers were "tricky"... No, they are garbage! The lobby and check-in desk area area nicely updated, but the rest of the place I got to see needs SERIOUS help. I sure hope they use some of their overpriced Sturgis Rally profits on some MUCH NEEDED renovations. The place is a disaster. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff is courteous, friendly, and helpful. The stay us well worth the price.

The room was clean and that’s what matters. However breakfast probably worst I ever had. Which was weird cause all the hotels pretty much use the same foods. But more importantly the building connected to hotel is boarded up and looked like about to fall down and parking lot had people sleeping in cars overnight made me feel uneasy.

This hotel is mispresenting their services. They do not offer laundry services including towels and linens. We had to go get our towels every day we were there, and were denied new linens even when we offered to put on ourselves. The owners stated they only offer clean linens every four days.... This is not described in their services at all. I am aware that there are hotels that have this but it is clear to the patron first. Then we realized that the key to one of our room (had two) opened all rooms on our floor. (Realized this by our son accidentially going to the wrong room. The positives of this hotel are the staff at the front desk in the morning. She was very polite and helpfu. when ever asked others not so much..... I brought my family and will never stay there again. The outside looked horrible but the pool area was good. Rooms were very worn down. Could be great if given the appropriate attention to the property.

The pool was broken and the hot tub smelled like so much chlorine it was essentially unusable. The staff was kind 💖 The room was okay, but also felt very dirty.

Nothing like the website, disgusting and outdated. The room was nasty, hot, smelled like smoke, none of the outlets worked, and the couch looked like you would catch something from it. Nicest thing was the lobby.

Air Conditioning does not work. No breakfast as advertised. Property is in terrible condition. Shower head fell off the first night I tried to take a shower. Screwed it back on myself. Staff could care less about issues experienced.

While the room wasn’t bad when we arrived we thought the hotel must surely be closed down. The building was dilapidated and the sign a blank. Apparently there had been a leak so no breakfast is available and the tv reception wasn’t all that good. The best part about staying here was the water pressure. The best we’ve experienced in the over10 hotels we’ve stayed in from Seattle to New York and now back again!

Appeared to me this property was being refreshed.. may have been neglected in the past.. so, asside from that the staff was amazing.. my a.c. in my reserved room was not working.. no hassle to get re assigned a differant room.. so 5 star service.. had a wonderful vacation in the black hills..

Ive stayed in a lot of older motels & havent sacrificed cleanliness to do so. This one was not only old, but DIRTY, smelled musty & stale, is in ill-repair and looks abandoned....dont let photos fool you! Tub ring, hair all over the bathroom floor, drips of ? On the walls, a sour shower curtain...all of this in the "clean" room after a move feom the original one they put me in that was so dirty i couldnt convince myself to set foot in the shower. Lobby area is the only part of the motel that is portayed in the photos accuratly. Many of my friends stayed there for a wedding the same nights and the entire block had the same issues. Never again! I'll sleep in my car before I'd stay here if i had to! The manager on duty acted embarassed when i asked for my room to be cleaned and was quite nice about trying to accomodate...but the 2nd room being no better and hearing other guests talk about the condition of their room...tells me she's just nice. There's no way she hasnt heard these complaints before.

It is an older hotel, that said, they were working on updating the outside. Great staff and comfortable rooms.

Checked in and room wasn’t cleaned the bed wasn’t made. The second room they gave us had a used towel hanging in the bathroom. The couch in the room was very badly worn didn’t even want to sit in the chair in room. Pool and hot tub were nice compared to the rooms.

Tv didn’t work. Sorry about your luck. The pool area is really nice though.

Excellent customer service!! Very clean. My only complaint is the breakfast. Extremely small space to accommodate all the people eating at the same time. Front office person is also in charge of taking care of the breakfast guests, while at the same time helping guests that are checking out. Totally impossible to keep all the breakfast food refilled in a timely manner. We ended up going to a restaurant for breakfast. Previously they had a full breakfast, cook to order with a hostess on site at all times. I think the guests would be pleased if they went back to that!!!

Not a good experience in terms of cleanliness, overall set up, options for breakfast, room size etc .. I won’t recommend

Property needs a severe cleaning inside and out

Internet didn’t work in a block of rooms which we were given one of. We moved to another room with working internet and it was also cleaner so that was a win until the group next door checked in and were loud partying, door slamming, hanging out outside our door. Thought if we got away from Main Street it would be quieter but unfortunately not at all.

First room was dirty so they moved us to a new room and it had no working air conditioner. Pool area was great but they offered no pool towels to dry off with.

The space was nice and the staff was very friendly.

Sad to say, this property has seen better days. When we checked in we were given a room on the second floor. And the only access is stairs, no elevator. Spouse cannot do stairs. The original booking was for king bed. Asked to change rooms. Lot of empty rooms, clerk would not give us a comparable room. Only room he would give us was 2 single beds. One and done for this property for us.

The property is in need of updating. The room where we were put for the first night was next to the boiler, so it was noisy all day and night. We requested to be moved and the person at desk came back to our room and said it was the air conditioner and walked out without making any changes. We again requested a new room the next day and were finally moved after going up two times, the new room was better, but some of the outlets didn't work. It looks like they are working on things, but please beware, we stayed when the temps took a dip and had no heat, and the outside temp was 36 degrees, it was so cold, and we weren't the only ones complaining about no heat.
