Quite good. But heating had to be repaired and one of the phones didn’t work.

The room smelled of dirty carpet. The carpet has different colors on the high traffic, I guess the previous footsteps were not cleaned well.

The lobby and restaurant are great. The rooms were styled nicely however they were not clean. Upon arriving the room smelled musky. The AC on the wall was not working. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. The bathroom floor, toilet and bathtub had body hair from a previous guest, all over. I was very uncomfortable.

Very unfriendly staff from manager to front desk to parking valet. Shower water in room not hot enough. Took long to to become warm. Check in was nightmare. They didn’t have type room I ordered. Finally sent us to room that had not been made up.

I was there for 9 nights. The key is to book a room with an ocean view and balcony. The neighborhood is not great, but not terrible, either. It's very close to the beach. 15 minute walk to Santa Monica Pier, as well. One minor complaint: there is a daily "Destination Fee" added of $39/day. This is pretty steep for just a pool (a nice pool, mind you), but one where you are not permitted to bring out any food or drinks.

For the price, the property is extremely dated and lacks basic features that I’d expect from a hotel in this price range. The room was not comfortable and dark. Room service is available. However, there wasn’t a menu in the room, which was odd. The bathroom was very old and resembled a bathroom in an old NYC apartment. My admittedly comfortable bathrobe turned out to be filthy, and I needed to shower once I noticed.
Some people don’t care about these things and only need a hotel to rest. If so, this is the hotel for you. However, if you care about amenities and experience, I would definitely skip it.
The hotel is in the process of converting into a Hyatt, and I hope that will mean updates and upgrades.

Stay here regularly and always a great seat - love the staff - friendly and professional - rooms are clean and comfortable - gym is good and has peloton bikes - pool area nice! Location is good in that it’s walkable to Main Street Santa Monica but less expensive than the hotels in the beachfront!

Perhaps this property will get a facelift as it changes into a Hyatt very soon. The location is great (walk to beach), the pool is private but needs "life." The fitness center needs better air circulation and less blasting music! My room was a double that smelled like smoke, and even after requesting a diffuser or some kind of refreshing, the stale smoke smell was always there. The shower wouldn't stay on ... if water pressure dropped a little, it would pop off. The makeup mirror was limp and wouldn't stay in place, etc...The room essentially needs an update all around. But the staff was great and responsive.

Good enough. Walkable to everything and the ocean view meant a deck with two lounge chairs, which was really nice! We did not try any of the amenities, but the free coffee was ok. Room was ok; bathroom too small and showing its age, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet

Spent four nights in mid August. Lovely
Hotel. Inviting lobby and bar. Pool and gym are nice. It’s a bit of a hike to the beach and pier, maybe a half mile. But it is walkable. Valet parking only, $60 a night, but they were very quick getting the car. They use a text message system which was super easy. They provide bottled water and towels for the beach. Overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

This trip was #1 on my terminal mother’s bucket list. The staff was so sweet to her! Everyone was so quick to lend a hand to her for assistance getting in and out of the car. Jackie and Stephanie are awesome behind the bar and so very kind. We stayed on the 4th floor with and ocean view and couldn’t be happier with our stay! The housekeeping team was phenomenal, and made sure we had everything we needed! Thank you for making our last memories so great!

We enjoyed our 5-night stay at this hotel. It was clean, spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel other than sleeping, but we tried to utilize a lot of the amenities when we could. The restaurant offered a variety of food, the pool was refreshing, and the complimentary glasses of champagne were an added bonus! The location was also very convenient, as we were able to walk to Santa Monica Place, Santa Monica Pier, and Venice Beach. We'd definitely stay here again in the future!

The hotel immediately put me in the wrong room. I think they were hoping i wouldnt notice they put me in a nonview no balcony jr suite instead of the special room i had booked. The junior suite was tiny on the second floor. I immediately went back down and notified the team of their error. They could not move me into my correct suite as they had someone in the room. They refused to move me until 4pm the next day. They said they would credit resort fees, they gave me a food voucher. Because i had surgery the day after checking in i could never move to my suite. I asked for a refund in the room costs. The refund was not honored, i paid for a much larger balcony/view room i never got to enjoy. This feels like fraud.
