I think this might be one of the nicer hotels that we saw around the area. We didn’t stay too long, just one night. We were there for a graduation as there isn’t much to do in Topeka, with that being said it was clean and an average hotel that if we had to we would stay there again. It wasn’t anything spectacular but it wasn’t terrible either.

Great price, extremely comfortable bed, and friendly staff. It was overall very clean, but my only negative is that I found toenail clippings between the bed and the nightstand. That made me feel a little grossed out, so I did take away a star for that reason. Aside from that, everything else was very clean and I would stay again.

Very nice stay

The young woman who checked us in was extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable for my family. They had a nice spa and pool. Breakfast was hot premade omelettes and scrambled eggs with sausage. It was a nice selection.

Core issue was that the air conditioning was EXTREMELY loud, like a jet taking off, as was the bathroom fan. Too hot to sleep without AC and too stormy to sleep with window open. Both need to be upgraded. The hotel is about ready for an update, but clean and friendly. Good breakfast runs til 9 on weekdays. We had a one bedroom; the main room was slightly small for a residence Inn. Front desk was friendly. Pool and hot tub were great. Bed was comfortable for someone with a bad back.

Property is a bit dated. Breakfast was great! Staff was awesome.

Really liked this property with irs access to shopping, restaurants and other things. Clean and friendly.

I have stayed at this property multiple times. With this latest stay it appeared that they are into cost cuttting mode. Breakfast choices have decreased. The towels in the room were smelly and had to get those changed. Still in a great part of town, so decent option to stay, but not as good as before

Room was musky

Check in was fast and easy. Room was very clean and had plenty of room. Plenty of work space as well as room to relax. Had full kitchen with a standard sized refrigerator. Highly recommended for extended stay.

Good place to stay

Definitely not a Marriott hotel, mold in restroom, stained sofa bed mattress, most likely was simply a name change for higher rates. Not worth the 8.4 review given nor price.

Deason hotel all the way around

Kitchen was filthy. Finger prints on all handles. I had to wipe down the counter’s multiple times in order to remove the stuck on food. Windows are not very insulated. Backed up to interstate so rather loud

It was a nice, quiet hotel! The rooms were nice and spacious, had a nice pool and hot tub, and an outdoor gazebo area and basketball court!! The free breakfast was what you’d expect, not the greatest but not bad. we enjoyed our stay! The only thing that makes the place look dated is the carpet but other than that it’s a great stay.

Overall the stay was very good. Other than road construction (and the condition of the road getting to the hotel was very poor), the stay was good. Very good location to restaurants and other services.

The employees

Was there from Friday to Tuesday, no housekeeping services. Two very thin bath towels, had to run down housekeeping to get more very thin bath towels.

The staff were very friendly and gracious. I had an extended stay there with my dog and the convenience of the area was awesome. The hotel is located close to shoping and dining, can even walk to many places. The interstate is close for easy access. Will alwats choose here for Topeka, thank you!

Fast check in

Great place for an overnight and very close to the interstate. Nice folks working there. Good breakfast. I give the average on the eco friendliness because I don’t have any idea what that means.

Tv did not work could not get it fixed because no maintenance until morning no trash can in room musky odor

Liked: It was an actual 2 private bedroom with bathroom, and full kitchen suite. Beds were very comfortable. We had a nice, quiet corner room for most of the week. Didn't like: We couldn't find the thermostat to adjust the temperature in the room. The (inside) pool area was like a sauna - the only way to really tolerate the steamy humidity was to be in the pool. The free continental breakfast was a real disappointment. The selection was the same every day and there wasn't very much to choose from. The only fruit was bananas and they were overly ripe - when they were gone, they weren't restocked. No pastries - only bagels, plain croissants and white bread. There were a few prepackaged muffins - chocolate and blueberry. By the end of our week-long stay, it was apparent they were putting whatever hadn't been eaten the previous day back out. There were no croissants left, one slice of bread, 3 stale bagels. I'm only belaboring the poor "free" breakfast because we had hoped to save money for one meal a day, but their breakfast just didn't cut it. Finally, while the linens appeared clean, my bedspread/blanket had disgusting hairballs embedded in the fabric. Luckily, I didn't need that blanket. Overall I think they could invest a couple dollars into new linens.

It was not up to Marriott standards. We did not stay there. When I reserved the room the website said I was reserving a suit with 2 queen beds in each room. That was not what we got. The room was so bad and the pool looked awful.

We usually stay at the Residence Inn because we like the multiple bedroom suites. The place is feeling a bit ‘worn’ (can smell smoke in the halls sometimes), but the rooms are always clean and fresh. Also, the staff is friendly & accommodating.
