Staff are great, location and large spaces are great, but the rooms themselves are tired and the bathroom in particular was puzzling with inaccessible toilet paper and a flooding approach to shower drainage. Breakfast was a miss with frozen fruit salad but the free coffee and sparkling water in a very restful, relaxing lounge was absolutely fantastic.

The front of the property is right on the water and lovely. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy the view from the lobby.

Not the best food, shower was klunky but plenty of hot water, nice staff, amazing view, four tour busses.

A/C in both rooms didn't work, rooms were hot and stuffy.

The hotel faces the Sunnylfjord which is beautiful! The room was too hot though and I couldnt sleep well. Overall, quite nice.

Great food. Great view. Close to grocery stores. Cheap self-service laundry (40NOK).

This is a somewhat tired property but overall a decent value for a one night stay.

The staff was super helpful and nice ! It makes a difference in a long trip ! They were very accommodating considering they had roof construction in the building. Nice room with scenic view on the lake with balcony to enjoy the sun at the end of a long drive. Hotel is conveniently located near E39 but also quiet. Very clean. Breakfast was excellent with good choice of food. I definitely recommend.

Delightful place.. Spacious, clean rooms. Beautiful landmark in the town. Awesome breakfast included, but the highlight was the dinner buffet with local meals and standard food cooked to perfection(cost is 395 NK). Public sauna across the street. Friendly helpful staff.

Convenient and scenic location but facility is worn and meager amenities.

The location is close to many nature attractions. Also, the renovated decor is very inviting and cozy!

It took me more than half hour get the room, after long drive. They gave me room not as in reservation, which was unsuitable. And than changed.

I fell in love with this hotel! The rooms were comfortable and the staff very friendly. I loved all the lounge spaces in the lobby and had a great time talking to fellow travelers. The dinner buffet was expansive and very reasonably priced and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I have never stayed at a Thon property before but will definitely use this chain again on my trip.

Great hotel in a pretty central vicinity of this area. Staff was very present, friendly, & helpful. VERY limited dining options in the vicinity, so fortunate that the breakfast/evening buffets provided by the hotel are of high quality.

The food was delicious & that staff all very helpful. We rented bikes on site & rode down a country path & it was so beautiful. Highly recommend on all counts!

Although the gentleman who checked me in was super nice, this was the most annoying check in I’ve ever had. I came exhausted after traveling all day, and was given instructions on how to get to my room. I was to go up one flight of stairs, down a hallway and up two more flights of stairs and down another hallway to the old building. It was too much to take in and I got lost and had to try to bring my luggage down the stairs to find the reception again to ask for help. If I were you, I’d call and ask to be in the newer building because it is very annoying to be in the old building if you have a lot of luggage. Next, the room has blackout curtains… but they aren’t cut wide enough, so they didn’t cover the entire window. Really? The main light in my room flickered for about 2 minutes before it gave up and just turned off. Breakfast was good, such as the rest of the Thon hotels and staff were friendly. Parking was free, on-site, plenty of spaces and easy. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend staying here, unless the rooms in the new building are easier to get to, with lights that don’t flicker and blackout curtains that fit the windows. The good reviews must all be from people who got to stay in the new building, because I just don’t see anyone giving the old building a good review.

Sins it was off season, there was little hot water.. Low temperature in the rooms... And you had to order what to get for breakfast... But the staff was nice.

The hotel is new and beautiful both in the rooms and in the common areas; we had a good dinner at the restaurant and breakfast was good and big too. Staff is very friendly.
