Some lack of service in the bar

Excellent friendly staff that are polite and very helpful, any questions I had were answered quickly and comprehensively. For your information, for the local tourist hotel tax you are required to pay you are entitled to a BODO card which gives you free travel on most buses and trains over a huge area. The public transport system is excellent and the hotel is just a short walk from the main bus and train station. The self service breakfast gives you a good selection to start your day, there is a restaurant also on site but I didn’t use it. The bar was good with the barman able to knock up a multitude of cocktails,, from what I witnessed. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable and perfect for me. There was a small fridge also where you could store some food and drink. There is car parking available for a fee, I'd advise informing them when you book but it is a reasonable charge in my opinion. There are also garages that can be booked, I only became aware of this on arrival and seeing cycle tourists storing their bicycles in there. Right by the promenade for pleasant walks and easy access to numerous restaurants it is an ideal choice in my book. Would I stay again? Without doubt.

Very hot rooms, air condition was super noisy. Not very bright lightning in the room. The family room was very spacious. Breakfast was fine.very good location.

The stay was nice, older room that had a few quirky features. The location was great and staff was very friendly. Difficult to take a shower the way the shower head was facing, but it is an old building. The pillows were unusable, they were gigantic.

Stayed here for a night the first week of April. Had a beautiful view of the Bodensee. The room was clean and well kept. Great location too

Our stay was short and sweet. Lovely hotel and accommodations for sure. The service was not as lovely. Unfortunately, the staff was not very friendly at the front desk, did not mention our included breakfast so we missed it completely, and the bartenders made us feel as if we were personally inconveniencing them. Otherwise, a very nice hotel.

Great location, this nice hotel has great staff, a good restaurant and friendly bar.
Only negative was size of bed and bathroom, I’m not a fan of showers over baths with curtains, however this did come with air con (much needed in summer here in Friedrichshafen)

I liked the location of the hotel close to town and to the water.
I wonder if they could have had a more selective dinner menu. I thought that the items on the menu was overpriced compared to the places in town and by the water.

I arrived early and I could keave my luggage so I could go to the Zeppelin museum. Staff were great, the room was really nice and the place has such a nice ambience. The breakfast was superb. What a nice stay.

Great hotel and well placed for the main central area and exploring the wider lake attractions.
Check in was strange and we were advised we could only book a parking space for part of our trip but they couldn't tell us where it would be till the next day?
Actually parking outside the hotel was fairly accessible and reasonably priced so this was not a big issue.
Hotel was quiet during our stay and rooms were comfortable and well appointed. We didn't have breakfast or use the restaurant but the food looked pretty good?
Would stay again if we were back in the region.

The Hotel is is in great location close to the train station and a short walking distance from lake Bodensee and a 10 minute walk to the City centre.
The hotel is very clean with good size rooms.
The bathroom sinks in the room we stayed in did not seal so you could not hold water in the sinks for washing ECT and the water pressure for the shower was poor. There was no extraction unit fitted in the bathroom/toilet.
Breakfast is not included in the price however you do have the option of paying for breakfast at the hotel.
There is a bar in the hotel but this was only open two out of the 10 nights we stayed.

With my luggage travelling by train I needed a place nearby that had good access to the lake. The location of Hotel Buchhorner is great for that: 5 min. by foot from train station and across the street from the lakeside with restaurants and walkways, green spaces and the lake. Yet the hotel is an updated older building with character and a cozy interior, very clean rooms and common areas, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating (when I arrived way early for check-in, they watched my luggage for a couple of hours while I walked into town, and then got a room ready early for me). Nice stay.

Hotel was centrally located for all the things we wanted to do at Lake Constance. The room had comfortable beds and was very clean. The bathroom (and especially the shower) was a little on the small side. Had an excellent on site restaurant (not something you necessarily expect). Overall, a really nice experience.

Internet connection was really really bad. I asked to check the connection to the reception. But, never happened. I had to turn on hot spot from my cell phone to work with laptop. I should have requested room change. My colleagues room was no problem. My Room number was 230. But, the room itself was very clean and comfortable.

We were in a Junior Suite, with a mezzanine type floor (teenagers loved this bit away from us 😂) a sofa area, fridge and upstairs had an outside seating area and you could see the lake. Excellent value, more than I can say for the car park next door which cost us 34euros for less than 24 hours 😕 - we paid extra for breakfast which was ok not fantastic but well worth the price and the coffee was good. Overall we loved it! Traditional downstairs but our bedroom was modern, oh and the beds were really comfy. It’s also over the road from the lake, great location
