Hotel was good and friendly staff located slightly away from main town areas .. I was a little surprised at being charged for tea and coffee in the room as this is the 1st time this has happened to me and find it unusual for a 5 star hotel

Dom Pedro hotel charged me an extra €330 when I checked out on July 18, 2024 and said that they will return my money. As of today, July 23, 2024 I have not been reimbursed. Unacceptable!! Can Expedia please get my money back?

Great hotel

Fantastic stay at the hotel from the check-in, to the little details in the room. Exactly what we used to expect from a 5-Star Hotel. Everyone we came in contact with during the stay was helpful, courteous and kind. We loved our stay at the Dom Pedro.

There are not enough good things I can say about this hotel. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with such hospitality, I automatically set the standard for my other hotels while in Portugal. The hotel gave us complimentary room service when we arrived, with wine and Nata's. They even gave me a had written note which shows the service going above and beyond for guests. After flying for almost 12 hours this was the sincerest thing me and my family received during the first day. I even had an issue with my bank card at the nearby bank and the receptionist was so helpful and provided to us international numbers for us to call to banks given the time difference to help us when we were in need. We had complimentary robes and slippers, along with small chocolates the housekeepers would leave when they came to clean the room. Outstanding service and hospitality. I would stay here again and recommend it to family who visit Lisbon. 10 out of 10.

Not a good location (need to Uber to city centre), not a 5 star hotel and charged for extra Nespresso capsules. Do not recommend - stay in the city instead.

Some of the staff does not understand English and simple request like shampoo or soft-boiled eggs become impossible to obtain. Elder staff is much better and able. Il Gattopardo is an excellent restaurant.

My daughter and I loved our stay at the Dom Pedro! We paid for two beds and a river view and the Dom Pedro gave us exactly what we paid for. It was a beautiful view of the river and city of Lisbon. The shopping mall is right across the street. We always told the bus drivers to let us out at the mall and it was easy. The hotel is across the street. The breakfast was good and plentiful, I loved all the different breads and cheeses every morning. I think my maid's name was Graziela, she took care of us and was wonderful! I hope I have her name correct. They had a tall older gentleman, I wish I knew his name because he spoke excellent English and he helped us get to everywhere we needed to go everyday. There was a man by the name of João that was at the front desk that was professional, kind and spoke English to us. He called the transfer company and tried to assist us with everything we asked him. He did an excellent job! Thank-you for an excellent stay Dom Pedro and João and Graziela! Don't hesitate to book this beautiful hotel the Dom Pedro!

It was a lovely hotel and friendly staff.

The property is a little dated. It’s really difficult to get into and out of the bathtub. They charge for extra coffee in the room 🙁. The breakfast and lunch buffet were priced well and good quality. The only real down side was that our kids were in a separate room and the key they gave us wouldn’t open their door. Excellent spa! It was disappointing that the pool hours for kids under 12 were limited (although understandable). So glad to have the spa and pool as an option!!

Staff were superb, as was the accommodation but in 2024 I don’t expect to see statues and ornaments depicting slavery in the lobby of such an establishment.

Third time I have stayed there

We are very happy with our stay here. We travelled as a family with a teenager and a pre teen and we loved everything about this hotel . It was our sons birthday and the hotel surprised us with a cake(we have not informed the hotel about our sons birthday)when we returned to the hotel from all the sight seeing which shows they really care about their customers. Absolutely recommend this hotel!

The friendly staff

I want to know under what circumstance that expedia ranks it as a 5 star hotel. This hotel is as worse as a 3 star hotel, with a 5 star hotel price. This is definitely cheating. This is by far the worst 5 star hotel I have ever stayed with The hotel is extremely dirty, everything inside the room is insufficient and old. This is like a 1950 hotel, with no electrical appliances. There is even insufficient lighting. The coach and bed are full of bugs. I have numerous bug bites and even cause allergy to my skin and my lips. There is no air conditioning at night after 4:00 a.m. I have to order ice buckets to my room to lower the temperature. Even with that I cannot sleep the whole night. The bed blankets are old and dirty. The bed, which they claimed in King size, is so short that my feet are hang out of the bed. I am only 5 feet 10 inch tall I want to raise a complaint and I want my money back. I need to know how I can raise a complaint to your platform and to the hotel. I need someone from Expedia to contact me immediately

We had a lovely family stay for three nights at Dom Pedro. A lovely hotel to relax in after busy days’ sight seeing in Lisbon.

Best breakfast at this hotel and the staff at the check-in (Joao) and the staff at the breakfast restaurant are all very nice and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay at Dom Pedro Lisboa
