I have stayed at The Grove Park Inn many times in the past 10 years or so. I have stayed with my family as well as on a girls’ trip. This was my first solo trip. The Spa and amenities were impeccable as always. I had booked a Mountain View room and requested the newest (most recently renovated) wing of the hotel. The first room had a bathtub instead of a shower which I can completely understand if I was traveling with family. I requested to move to a different room and they placed me on the ground floor, in an adjoining room, obscured Mountain View (at best) with bushes blocking the view. The lock on the adjoins room door didn’t work. As the person who checked me in was decidedly less friendly when I requested to change rooms the first time, I was reluctant to request a second time. Once I finally found the courage to ask to move to yet another room, they found me the perfect room that I should have had from the start.

Overall we loved our stay. The sunsets were amazing from the back patio and there are so many things to do and see just located on the hotel property. The only down sides was not enough seating on the outside veranda to accommodate guests wanting to view the sunset from outside instead of inside. We stayed in the older section of the hotel, which I enjoyed. However, there was a few small problems with lights and under lighting that was not fixed before we left. Overall, its still an awesome place to stay.

It was a splurge, for sure, but worth every bit of it! My advice would be to absolutely take advantage of the spa and be sure to make dinner reservations in advance because they do book up. The buffets for dinner and breakfast they are amazing!!

Nice views. Huge property. Not very accessible for mobility challenged. Rooms nothing special. Dining prices exorbitant. No spa appointments available at all. Outdoor pool required a drive on a shuttle.

Room was awful and smelled like musty mold. Paid for garden view but room on the end was a view of dirt and pine needles holding up the hotel.

Loved the old world feel. Very cozy and quiet at night. I would really like to see one of the restaurants open for a la carte breakfast service. Marketplace was good to pick up small things and the breakfast buffet was good, but too much food to eat every day. Another option would be great.

A great place to stay after being in the city for a few days. Really nice staff, very cool building and the grounds are beautiful. Our room was very comfortable, had a great view of the main lodge and the golf course below. Dinner buffet was average, but the shrimp and the desserts made up for the rest. Edison for dinner was delish.

Most relaxing weekend I have experienced. The spa was great. Only wish staff would have monitored and requested patrons to quiet their voices. Couples seemed to be quiet, but 1 group of ladies tended to get loud and did not respect others. Wherever they went, the volume level increased.

Rooms are older but clean and comfortable. The mountain/golf views were beautiful!
Each restaurant was also outstanding and the staff superb. Loved how they are so family friendly and allow dogs.
I was also able to use the sports complex and they had a variety of classes, equipment, tennis and pickleball courts, pools, ets. I took a class that I really enjoyed and everyone was so friendly! Would highly recommend.

Service was great, room was fabulous! My only complaint is the food. Although there are numerous restaurants to choose from, it appears the same items are offered in most of them. 23% up charge for room service seems steep as well. Especially when you are spending $12 dollars for a plain cheeseburger.
The best meal was the BBQ buffet in the Blue Ridge room and the breakfast pizza from the coffee shop. It's sad to see how corporate Grove Park Inn has become.

All staff was very professional. Very nice Hotel. Would stay there again. Would recommend ice machines on each floor. Overall it was a great place to enjoy. Beautiful grounds everywhere.

My trip was last minute and fabulous. I went alone and had a spa "day" and the rest of the time I just relaxed, lol. It was all fabulous because of the history mixed with convenience and great staff!! It was unforgettable and I will be going again, any specials let me know. I really enjoyed my unplanned trip. TY
