I had a Great stay as always ,Location is awesome. Shower not as good this time on ground floor.Love the showers up on 2nd floor Next time hopefully get 2nd floor I would reccomend and will keep returning

Spacious room, hot shower, great beds, yes its a bit dated, bathroom fan would help reduce condensation but we were warm, dry and very comfortable during a very wet cold weekend.

We liked that it was an affordable/ warm room perfect for hubby and me. Didnt like the fact that if you didnt have your own water you have to use the tap in bathroom for a drink/ dishes etc...

Very tidy, clean room. In a very good location and the bus stops right outside from the airport.

The hotwater in the shower was poor !! & the Traffiic Control guys staying @ the motel starting there vehicle @5.30am & leaving in running for half an hour outside my room before leaving was disappointing to say the least !! However if I return to Nelson I would stay again :)

Our room was not up to motel standard and we showed photos to reception when leaving. They agreed and we were reimbursed a portion. Disappointing as position was great.

Really nice motel and the staff were really nice, however there was no restriction on the use of the very noisy laundry rooms. It would be much better if the use of these items was restricted to reasonable hours, or that the equipment was replaced with much less noisy ones.

The stay was good.

Room spacious on ground floor. Clean. Parking next to room. Restaurants a short walk away.

We were booked for an upstairs room but asked for a downstairs room and we were happily changed with no issues, thank you! Everything was good bed was comfy and good sized bathroom. Able to easily walk to dine out and good location across from the beach.

Just one night stopover, the room was in need of a ‘tidy up’, looking a bit tired ( especially in the bathroom). The room itself was OK, but being on the ground floor, should have had some net curtains to provide some privacy from passing foot traffic. The option was to have the curtains drawn during daylight.

Outstanding hotel, superb location. We were given a room on the ground floor which required a fair bit of organisation by the receptionist. She was very helpful. Quite the best hotel we have stayed in yet on our road trip around NZ.

Excellent location across from a beautiful beach and walking distance to food. A little noisy with the windows open to allow a breeze in. No AC. Staff were great.

Location was great - a quarter mile walk to the beach. Hotel was busy but not noisy. Walkable to restaurants. Nice room.

This was our first holiday in over ten years and it was the perfect location for the beach, eating out, and bus to the city. A staff member I spoke to on leaving was excellent. However, staff on arrival were not very welcoming and expected full payment upfront, which seemed odd, until I saw our room and realised there must be people who see the room and leave without staying and paying. Our room was large but dark and in desperate need of a refresh many years ago. The bathroom is tiny, nowhere to put on makeup, the shower didn't drain, items in the bathroom were broken, the heated towel rail was not connected to power so towels didn't dry, the fridge is ancient and noisy during the night, there is no AC, so the room is sweltering at night and the fan is inadequate and very loud too. Pillows were unsupportive, the skirting and wall sconces needed cleaning, and the lounge chairs needed the skip bin. There were no beach towels available for the pool so we had to purchase these. We left unrested, disappointed, and unlikely to stay again unless changes were made.

We highly recommend this Hotel was within easy walking distance of the beach and many eateries. The staff were most welcoming and very helpful. The heated Swimming pool was a nice relaxing bonus.

Wouldn’t stay here again. Dirty carpet. Everything is dilapidated. I don’t mind old but this is next level. Don’t stay. Enjoy your holiday!

Very comfortable with excellent facilities & friendly staff. Was close to beach (walkable). Good food outlets nearby.

The pool and proximity to the beach was great. The shower was a continuous problem with the water changing between hot and cold constantly, and just a bit of a struggle getting to sleep at night with guests above us thumping around heavily late into the evening. Other than that it was a nice stay.

The location is superb. Closer to amenities, beach and a playground for kids. The room interior is dated. Carpets are stained and very old. You feel it entering the room. Toilets could use some fan ventilation. Our experience overall was average.

Nice and handy to Nelson city, the beach and road to Waipu
