This stay was ok. When we checked in we were just given our room keys and room. There was no explanation about the sauna or breakfast. There was also no warning about how a film crew would be present just doors down from us and would be disruptive to our stay. This was quite frustrating as we got glares coming out of the elevator and out of our room to do things. Otherwise, we had a fan in the room and were given pillow options to sleep comfortably which was appreciated. The hygiene products were also very nice, but quite thin toilet paper.

Hotel in excellent location could walk everywhere, breakfast very good, nice hotel, basement bar nice touch but had limited menu, rooms a little dated, but highly recommend staying, would stay again

Very happy with the room and location. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Walkable to many sites, shopping, restaurants, and public transport. The breakfast was filling with many options to choose from.

Very nice hotel in good location with excellent breakfast. The only negative is heating and cooling. No airco. There was an electric radiator in room. And a fan. But the window could be opened!

What a great hotel. Front desk top not talent, hope they pay them well. Facilities are quite interesting if a bit quirky adding to the charm. Pub downstairs, let me say Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, if you know, you know. Location quite convenient. Breakfast is quite good and is in keeping with a five star property. Two negatives, which are a bit minor. Shower is horrible, great for a bath, but terrible for showering, quite uncomfortable and a bit dicey to use. One of our rooms had no AC which is not a huge thing as opening the window will sufficiently cool your room, however this is a noisy area. Nonetheless, excellent execution and I highly recommend.

We were just staying for one night in Gothenburg and found the hotel very easily. It is well positioned and gave easy access to the quayside to enjoy the sunset and the next day we had a lovely stroll around the city, seeing the botanical gardens, shopping centre and taking a boat trip.

Nice hotel in beautiful older building. Great location! Very central. Lovely breakfast - lots of choices etc. the toilet and fridge were noisy in the room and unfortunately our shower bath was not clean when we arrived!

Wonderful stay at a great location in Gothenburg. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good, although would’ve wished for more non-pork and vegetarian protein options. Had a single room that was surprisingly large, and the bed was comfortable. One downside was that the room I was in had very poor lighting in both the bedroom and the bathroom, so trying to do my makeup for a big event was difficult (fortunately, there was still daylight).

I love these historical hotels. This location is great in downtown Gothenburg.
Flight was late and I had a super late check in, staff was very helpful and super nice.

A nice 4 star hotel with some character. Lovely having super high ceilings in the bedroom. Very good central location.

The hotel was a beautiful old building, that looked like it always a hotel. The room was the perfect size, no wasted space, bathroom was small but great looking and efficient.
It’s close the the train station and the shopping areas, with stores and restaurants just outside. Breakfast was great, really good choice in the buffet. The staff were really nice and helpful, rooms really clean.
The only things I thought they could improve is to have comcast on the TV. Most people staying there probably don’t speak Swedish, and would want to play YouTube, instead of Swedish sitcoms. Besides that the place was almost perfect.

Not too far a walk from the central station (where the airport bus departs and arrives from), smart, quality, friendly staff and well appointed rooms.
The breakfast buffet was expansive and included with the room, which wasn’t obvious when I booked.
Beds a bit soft, so not ideal for an old chap with a dodgy back, but comfortable enough.
Not cheap but good value all the same.
Ideal for the city centre as well as the many shops, cafes etc in the vicinity.

Stayed in a Standard Double Room. Requested two single beds which was not provided.
Rooms seem a little worn down and very small. Phone did not work. Lamp had one light bulb missing.
Breakfast buffet had a large variety but not very high quality.

This property was beautiful as it was in an old building from the 1800s. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent. Will stay here again.

A really good hotel and I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were large, comfortable though a little dated. Lack of sunlight was a bit disappointing but understandable from the old windows they have in place. Gym was alright - wouldn’t describe it as a “spa” in any shape, and they seriously need a chilled water fountain in it. The pub was fabulous.

Have stayed at this hotel tens of times. Before this visit it has been very well run. Something has changed. Stayed only one night. There was no hand soap in the bathroom. It was uncomfortable to reach to the shower every time. Moreover, there were previous guest's finger nail clippings on the floor. When asked for a hand soap bar the front desk told me to pick it up from them when I come back from dinner. At these rates it is not guests' role to fix service failures.
