Strahan village provides the majority of the beds and dining in Strahan. We stayed in one of the cottages - this was a hotel room in an old cottage-style house. No self-catering facilities are provided. The room was nice, though the over-large furniture took up valuable space. The views from the balcony were wonderful

The village waterfront cottage is well located near Gordon River Cruise and food venues. However the room is quite dated, the carpet is musty and the mattress too soft.

Strahan Village is a great little complex, it could do with a bit of TLC, the building where we weee staying looked almost derelict, turned out it isn’t! Our room was basic almost student flat accommodation, however it was only for the one night. The food and staff made up for all the other short comings.

Room is clean with balcony over looking the harbour. The buffet dinner at Restaurant 42 is excellent with selections of delicious cold & hot food. Really good value for your money.

This was a pleasant surprise, the room was spacious, nicely put together and better than the photos, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location and parking were good. Beautiful little town. If you stuck for ideas on what to do to fill up your time the lady at the visitors centre has many suggestions.

Quiet and friendly stay. Be aware to get to esplanade from top (main) rooms you need to access a high set of stairs or walk down on the road.

Navigating to our room was a little confusing at the start. Despite that, great location as it is very near the Visitor Centre and Gordon Cruise Harbour.Toilet is spacious and new, of course, a huge plus with a heater in the toilet which is much appreciated during the winter season. Would recommend!

Got an upgraded room wasn't better than what I had booked.(Spa room to premium harbour view) No reason given. Bit disappointed. Winter time so no restaurant open. but still a great place to stay and location.

The location was superb, overlooking the water. Our room was spacious, there were two beds as I requested, but we ended up using one bed as we felt sorry for the staff, so only one bed need fixing. The bedshets, pillows, most of the fixtures are great. The place is quiet, being winter so we missed the main restaurant which was closed but we were able to use the lounge which has a cosy fireplace. Take note, the hotel facilities are not in the main building where we checked in but it was just nearby. Shame we only stayed one night, but I will not hesitate staying there again if we're going to the west coast.

There are lots of different property types, we had an oceanview balcony room which looked yo have been recently renovated. Beautiful room with excellent amenities. Generous size room, king bed and beautiful bathroom. Wish we were there longer than one night to enjoy it more

Strahan Village is in a great location. It is clean and the staff were very welcoming. I highly recommend staying at Strahan Village. We cannot wait to visit this magical place again.

Spent 2 nights at Strahan Village unit. 30 metres from the Wharf and local eating places. V Good value accommodation in two bedroom cottage with good facilities. Ideal stay location for us.

Thought the outside garden area unattractive and not well maintained.
The lack of dining options including No in service breakfast on Wed morning dissapointing and dinner in dining Wed night inconvenient.
The cost of breakfast on Thursday morning very unreasonable so bought a much cheaper option.
The actual accomodation was very good.

The Village Strahan has a great variety of accommodation in the centre of town, which is a fabulous position for proximity to Shops and Services, as well as the Wharf area. We saw a Old Sawing demonstration at Morrisons Mills, went to the performance of ‘The ship that never was’, and also went on a Wilderness cruise up the Franklin river, all these things were either from or in the wharf precinct. We feel like we got good value for money for our accommodation.

Staff were not helpful. Limited dining options. Dining options were expensive. 2 dining rooms but they had childten in both srctions, rather than moving all to one section.. Had to share dining room with screaming childen...

We enjoyed our accommodation at Strahan. Our room was clean and comfortable. Also conveniently located within an easy walking distance to most to eateries. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

The accommodation was perfect. A little stone cottage all to ourselves opposite the water right in the centre of town. It had a comfortable bed, spa bath, little lounge area and you could walk out the front door to the restaurants and the Gordon river cruise. The service was wonderful until we got lady with short curly hair and glasses on checkout. She should not be in that job. If we didn’t have such a brilliant stay our review would have been very different just because of her.

Good accommodation but we had a very bad sleep as the mattress is way too soft. Woke up by back pain at least 6 times both of us.

Great room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Difficult finding dinner that evening as the hotel dining room was closed for a private function. Only three other options for food within the property area, one fully booked, the bar with limited menu of bar food and one that was take out only after 4 pm. So book in advance for dinner.
