Great overnight motel at DTW. Shuttle, fridge, microwave, one or two beds. If you want luxury, go elsewhere. If you want reasonable overnight stay, place is great.

I paid through Hotels.com, and when i went to the hotel they told me i owe them $150 in cash as a deposit if i stayed there. I went on the app and Hotels said nothing about it until i scrolled all the way down to the bottom of my confirmation email where it said i might have to pay. I tried to get a refund for my purchase as i then had to find a new hotel, yet they wouldnt let me since i didnt have a “trip advisor” that planned everything for me.

Property is being allowed to fall into disrepair. Should probably not be taking bookings for this hotel.
The room we were put into had a bedframe too wide for the mattress, leaving sharp metal pieces sticking out at all 4 corners of the bed, but hidden by the bedspread. My husband walked into one of them and gashed his shin. I went to complain, with photos of the frame, and the injury. We were moved to a room across the hall, but not even an apology for the injury. I guess it was good we had our own first aid kit.
A refund would be nice, and minimal for the injury.

never stay there, dirty, the TV and lights don't work, no room service, and insects everywhere, I booked for 5 days but left after 2 days because of these issues

Requiring an unexpected $100 CASH deposit was ridiculous. The door to my room had to be forcibly kicked to make it open.

The pillows smelled bad, the furniture was old and damaged, and the floor smelled like smoke. The only good qualities were the friendliness of the staff and the area seemed safe.

The first room we were out in had a bed frame too big for the mattress, leaving sharp metal frame edges sticking out about 2 inches on each side. It took about five minutes for my husband to walk into one and gash open his leg. I went and asked for a different room, showing a photo of the bed issue, and his leg. We were given a different room, nothing more.
Paint is pealing, bathroom fixtures are rusty, for prints on the wall.
Looks like travelodge is just looking to shut this one down and move to their new building across the parking lot. Clearly no maintenance, or cleaning going on.

I spent 3 nights at Travelodge and not once did anyone clean my room. I was told by a staff member that in order to close my room door I have to turn the handle on the door then lift the door and push it in to close it.
She went ahead to say I cannot change the room because of the door because they are all like that.
No water was provided in the room or coffee machine.
Service sucks! I will not be returning.

Overall the stay was great. It was very quiet which we love. I would stay again. The price was good. The only things was not enough towels but that a small thing. But a great stay thanks again

was not informed about the deposit when booking room an on top that it had to be a cash deposit didnt clean the rooms during the stay even when requested and you had to exchange the dirty towels for clean one's yourself bathroom had a rollie pollie infestation of aome sort

Got there at 1:20 AM hotel didn’t take card deposit and the ATM in the Lobby wasn’t working had to walk all the over the other hotel to get cash, room was smelly and did not look clean at all, woke up to bites on my back, saw a bed bug crawling on the pillow went for a room change said they couldn’t do it I would have to check out wouldn’t give me back my money for that day because it was after 11 in the morning. Booked for 4 days and only got back 2 in the refund. No compassion was shown.

Don’t do it. Just don’t. I travel full time and stay in hotels every week. This is quite literally one on the worst places I’ve ever stayed. If not the worst. It’s old, dirty, dated, and subpar in ever way. You’re forced to pay a $100 cash only deposit at check in. Which takes an act of Congress to get back. I’m filing a complaint with the BBB to try and help future customers.

My stay started off bad. The room i reserved had a broken window and thr front desk clerk said the were out of king size bedrooms. She said she would switch my room the following day.
Next the keys didnt work to my room. Maintenance had to come out to let me in my room with a mechanical key.
Next the fire alarm was going off from 11pm to 7 am. The fire department and police arrived multiple times. So for 1 day i had to find another place or sleep through the fire alarm. I decided to leave and find another place to sleep.

Upon arrival the room has a bad smell. I set up my computer on the desk for work. 20 minutes later I venture into the bathroom, raise the toilet seat to find the toilet full of feces almost to the top. I reported this to the front desk requesting a room change which was initially denied. The front desk clerk then called her manager and the decision to change my room was finally made

When flying out of DTW Airport I have stayed here several times over the years not the newest but it's friendly staff to keeping ur car there to even a few hour stay it always affordable and comfortable.. and free. Shuttle to Airport.. leave ur car and fly out . And get shuttled to the airport.
