Location is great! Boutique hotel property with nice comfortable outdoor seating to enjoy the Venice Beach Vibe and sunsets. Our room was clean upon arrival and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The parking is limited and can be reserved prior to check in.

I had a wonderful stay. I loved being right on the sand. No ice machine here but there a market a short walk away. Location and staff are amazing. Rooms are basic and small but the bed was comfortable and you get a fridge with a little freezer. Would stay again.

This property is great with a few specific callouts: 1) The rooms are not very big. They were fine for my 12 year old and myself, but were still a little tight. 2) The parking is also very tight and if you get back later than 11pm and the staff is not there and someone has stolen a spot, you can be in a tough spot. Luckily the people who stole my spot left before I had to park in an illegal spot (although the staff assured me they'd cover the ticket if I got one) 3) The hotel is right down the street from some active nightlife spots... Which can be great, but also can result in some possibly unwanted late night merriment (yelling, singing, etc) Overall id highly recommend, just be aware ;)

The room was too small, very noisy from the neighbors upstairs, poorly cleaned, black hair everywhere, old and in need of renovation, bathroom barely fits one person. Also the pictures do not match reality. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for such a high price!

The staff was great. The room was as expected. I added an extra day arriving a day early. I specifically contacted the property to insure I could reserve parking for the early arrival which they charge for separately outside Expedia. I was assured they reserved it for me. Upon arrival I was told they did not have any parking reserved for me the first night. It was a hassle and not entirely safe to park elsewhere nearby but I did eventually find street parking after a few attempts. They did comp my parking for the next two nigjts as an apology. It was a hassle but it turned out ok. Would stay here again.

Quaint, boutique hotel. Small rooms and bathroom. Comfy bed. Old building so not much sound proofing. Jaime at front desk was fabulous. Right on the sand. Great location

Cute little hotel, not quite what I'm used to but still workable. The location and the staff were the best parts of our stay. Everyone was so very friendly and accommodating, they kept the public areas immaculate, and promptly answered requests. I'd recommend for those looking for affordable, no frills accommodations, and direct beach access.

Great location but a little small & could use some major upgrades

Location is great, room was clean. The rooftop is great for sunsets, and we enjoyed the outdoor space. It is very close to bars and restaurants as well as the boardwalk. That said, it can get a little loud in the back alley when the bars let out, but all-in-all, this was a comfortable stay and I would stay again.

While we loved the location and the staff was wonderful, the property needs a fair bit of work. Our room #9 on the second floor had a view of the beach and the Venice Beach pier. However the room had a lot of maintenance issues: - missing a window screen -in-operable window - non-fitting bathroom window (wouldn't stay up if raised, no other vent in there) -many rusty fittings in the bathroom -partially pulled out drywall mounts for the window shades, towel holder, glass mirror -horribly corroded aluminum frame on the bottom of the shower door, some caulk would really help around there too. -every hour (or so) horrible noise from the air conditioner The property has some maintenance needs as happens to all properties close to the ocean. For the cost of a day's rent, a LOT could be fixed. And yet, we still rated it above average as it's location and staff helps make up for the room condition. As long as you understand this, go for it.

They had absolutely No parking, had to find parking 6 blocks away, such a hassle. Had to keep moving and paying 😡. Wouldn’t stay there again because of the parking issues

It was small

This incredibly located property is in dire need of an upgrade! We had a nice corner room, but the windows were dirty, the A/C made a horrible racket, and the shower head blew off when my husband tried to take a shower! Front desk personnel were great, but the owners need to apply some TLC to what should be an exquisite property.

Great staff! Room was reasonably clean for the property type. Property steps out to the beach. Property is definitely rundown. A lot of rest and the air conditioner made the room quite damp and was quite noisy and made ticking noises more and more as our day went on.

The location was great. The room was small but clean. It would have been nice if the room had a coffee maker and a small microwave, as well as small table lamps. The staff were extremely friendly and got pur air conditioner fixed, which really helped . The fact that they had parking was also a huge selling point for us..
