Tuesday night the hotel held a party with music. Extremely loud and noisy. They told me was a birthday celebration and was meant to last up to 1am. I told them I needed to catch an early plane in the morning and they offered me other room in the 4th floor. But I could hear the music with less intensity though. The issue was that in the new room the smoke detector in the wc was on the whole night. Did not switch off as it was broken. It was a nightmare and could not sleep.....

Second time here and it's perfect

We arrived after check in time, had to wait over an hour for a subpar room. While getting dinner at the hotel restaurant, they forgot to put in my order completely and we waited over an hour for a replacement (30 mins before anyone checked in). Finally, when we were going to return to the room, we stepped in the elevator and as the door was shutting, multiple cables snapped in front of our eyes. Negative 5 stars wouldn't be low enough for our experience.

Nice hotel with nice premises. Good value/price rate. 2 compalinst, first I contracted one large bed and I found 2 beds. Second, my room had an internal door coneting with another room and was noisy.

Maison Sofia is a lovely hotel with great staff. The location is not easily reached with public transport, but taxis in Sofia are quite cheap and they'll bring you to the front door. My room had clearly been cleaned some time ago, as there was dust around, but otherwise it was very nice. The breakfast was delicious, and the spa facilities okay.

Recently visited for a 4 night stay for a birthday trip. The hotel was under renovation at the entrance but the inside was already completed and it looked elegant and immaculate. Very nice design throughout the entire hotel and all the facilities were amazing. The restaurant food was lovely, the pool and spa was incredible and relaxing. I enjoyed a massage that was good value for money. The gym was nice too, plenty of equipment to use. Also the room we had was fantastic, such a lovely design and very functional, had everything we needed and more.

The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, all the equipment is brand new, and it makes the staying very pleasant. Breakfast is very good the very tasty, it includes eggs vegetables, breads, coffee, cheese, jam, butter, and more. Please note that the hotel is currently under renovation in the main part, make sure to take this into account before you made the reservation, I have made the reservation via hotels.com and the renovation part is not mentioned at all. I did not know it until we reached to the hotel. the gym, spa and swimming pool are also unavailable due to the renovation. We have run into few problems due to the renovation and we had to switch rooms, in the shower the water has been stack on the floor and we did not have door in the shower, we also had electricity problems in one of our rooms and we almost switch rooms again, but this was eventually fixed. You need to pay for parking, when we arrived, they asked for 10BG parking per night but in check out they insisted that I pay 10EURO per night. Looks like that the team is new and not professional

The rooms after the renovations a simply delightful, we absolutely loved them! Breakfast was good. Staff was excellent! We love the area and we always stay there when we either go to Tokuda hospital and/or Paradise mall - super convenient!

The hotel was under complete renovation. Terrible noise starts at 8a.m. Eben more, the service is terrible: we waited 15 min in the cold for somebody to come and open the parking garage. Worst experience ever. The prices of the breakfast in the room are absolutely unadequate as if a 5 star hotel. Strongly, strongly advise against.

The hotel is far from 4 stars, let alone 5. There are some renovation works going on that nobody's mentioned. Checked in on Friday night was ok. The building works started at 9 am on Saturday morning and the noise was shocking. I was there for a week and working from the hotel room. Mission impossible. Breakfast was good but hardly anyone in the restaurant . I think the hotel is constantly empty and i now understand why. The building is old and the interior desperately needs modernisation. However the main failing is the service. At the day of my check out i asked if i could work From the lobby till the time of my flight late thw same evening. The gentleman at the reception offered me to stay in the room till 5 pm.as a good will gesture for the disruption and inconvenience caused by the noise from the builders on site. What was my surprise when at checkout he put a sneaky charge 50% of an extra night because ive kept the room till 5 pm though it was only after he insisted the hotel is empty and that's their gesture. He removed the extra charge as soon as i questioned it! He became aggressively defensive and used a language i better not quote. I find behaviour like that really embarrassing. Overall, i wouldn't recommend the hotel purely because: it's far from public transport Very outdated rooms Rude staff and inefficient service Sneaky charges

I broke my ankle my first day in Bulgaria which changed my entire itinerary & had to make a lot of adjustments last minute. I was relieved to find accommodations that offered a shower I could get in & out of safely, and their prices were low due to renovation construction. I was most appreciative of the staff’s kindness, empathy, and consideration. The young staff was both warm and respectful of privacy. They assisted me with transportation, translation, and were sweet. The building’s architecture was beautiful, they are in stages of renovating dated rooms, yet they were very clean & roomy. What was lacking in modern appointments, was made up for in the people power.

Hotel under refurbishment. Horrible rooms with dirt and worn out bed. We checked out after 20 minutes and went to another hotel.

Very friendly staff ,big and nice room

Hotel 45 m from the city center by public transport (15 m to the nearest metro station). The breakfast does not correspond to the category of the hotel. The swimmingpool of the spa was used for swimming lessons to children which sorprised us a lot...

The sauna, steam room and pool were great. Hotel was comfortable and relaxing with good staff

I liked the main entrance area and there was some very nice art work and physical features in the public areas

Staff were unacceptable as far as respect towards customers is concerned. Would never recommend this lovely hotel.
