I’ll be going there again next year totally awesome place absolute paradise

Booked this for my parents. They had the time of their lives! This resort went above and beyond for them as they celebrated their anniversary - messages on the bed in palm leaves & flowers, special dessert for dinner, and there was a live musician who dedicated a song to them. The resort is absolutely stunning, the sand so soft, the water beautiful turquoise, the staff were so welcoming and they felt very safe their entire time. They stayed in a water cottage which was an amazing experience and worth the extra money. Many excursions and activities to do like snorkelling over coral and lagoon kayaking. Staff were also very easy to communicate with via email. Now I want to go! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

From start to finish my honeymoon here was amazing! You receive a welcome song and a good-bye song when you go. Staff are very friendly, always smiling, and accommodating. The scenery is breathtaking and waters are pristine. The area is private so its a romantic spot. The manager, Sanders, prepared a romantic complimentary dinner for my husband and I on our last night on the dock with our own server, Leo, who was also great! There is a private beach around the corner from the resort that you can kayak to, or take a speed boat, or hike to. There are rocks there so I would recommend someone wear their water shoes. You can also snorkel at this beach! The waters are so clear at the resort that you can see all kinds of fish swimming around already,especially if you try the paddle boarding there! Definitely would recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing vacation!

Great staff, great location, nice welcome, quiet and relaxing resort. A bit pricey though. Getting the complete package only for full days when you can do the tours and have all 3 meals is worth it but not on partial days like day of arrival and day of departure. Surprised us with a two for 1 dinner buffet and an anniversary dessert plate. Two for one happy hour is great.

Amazing setting and natural beauty. The facilities are a bit run down and in need of refurbishing. The hotel is clean and well maintained but it has aged and is rundown. Time for some capital expenditures by Ayala. The staff is well trained and provided great personalized service. The food, served mostly in a buffet setting, is good. The daily catch was especially good. The island hopping and snorkeling were outstanding.

This was our little one night trip into Paradise , First let’s start by saying this resort communicated with me days before the scheduled arrival and was very helpful , Upon arriving at the Jetty your welcomed by their staff with comfortable area to await your boarding for your Boat trip to the Lagen , The staff attends to your every request with service that is above expected ,Although the sea was very rough ,Our ride was great , We arrived to Coffee house music and received 5 star arrival service , Our weather could have been better but we made the best of it , Ordered room service to our Water cottage , witch was nicely prepared when arrived , The room is without question 5 Star Disney style for you westerners , From WiFi ,To Tv channels , it was all it could be , Wished I could have flown my drone ,but it’s not allowed as this is a private resort , The stunning property land scape is truly breath taking ,Imagine living in a rain Forrest “ Upon checking out our things were handled with no efforts from us and we boarded for our Exhilarating boat ride back to El nido , This also is not a pre arraigned review , I believe that when a property goes the extra mile ,So can my review , I would encourage anyone to experience the el nido resorts Palawan , , This review is for the Lagen

It was a good trip have to be very scheduled if flt delayed and reach by or after 17.00 hrs guest is nowhere to go

Amazing views. Checked nearly all the boxes. Food needs a lot of improvement esp for international travellers, and it felt a bit too commercial with all their activites. Service is top notch, staff (esp tour guides) are very nice and cheerful

Amazingly friendly staff, beautiful remote setting, a great place to relax and explore the surrounding nature, including snorkeling and scuba

It is a very unique and romantic place to spend our honeymoon. It is a very exxlusive resort because it is in an island. You can't get here easily. The only bad part is that if you are not traveling by plane to El Nido, you have to wait a kong long time for the boat to take you to the island. Other than that, it was a great stay!

I stayed for 5 days in the water cottage. Solo holiday after a long work contract in Indonesia.. Perfect place to relax and take in the stunning scenery. The tour of the lagoons was a highlight, and my 1st scuba diving experience was amazing. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back to see more of the surrounding islands..

Very beautiful view. Enjoyed a silence and confortable stay there. Food was ok but few choice for buffet. Staff were helpful and friendly. Theres some ants inside the room which bothered me a bit. I stayed at the water cottage which the balcony was amazing! However theres quite a lot of ants there which made me considered staying just inside the room. However its near the nature so its acceptable to have little insects. Worst thing is that i communicated with the hotel about my boat schedule by email and they knew i was going to take the 10:30 boat to their hotel. However when i arrived the lounge they said the boat left as the plane arrived early. I was annoyed and needed to wait for 1 and a half hour for the next boat. And i was actually just staying in casa kalaw which is the sister hotel of lagen and the staff of casa kalaw knew which boat i was going to take and just asked me to go there by 1000 would be good enough.

the place is super beautiful, but I think that it is not for children's, they made a noise, there is no music in the pool area , nothing's to do at night's. the area , kayaks and snorkeling amazing. the food good. no bottle of water at room.

It was a relaxing stay after a 2 days tour.

I told Ms. Jen, the GM on our last day, that we have stayed at some of the finest hotels and resorts around the world, including self proclaimed seven star properties, but have never been treated so incredibly well as we were at El Nido Lagen Island. Our stay was not only very physically comfortable in our beautiful room and incredible grounds of the hotel, but the incredible levels of service are unmatched in our travel history. Many people say that they will return to a favorite property again, but this was not just another property, this became home, and home we will return again.

We flew from Cebu Mactan airport to LIO airport in El Nido. Lagen hotel staff greeted us at the airport, and took care of our luggage. They drove us 20 mins to the port, and we rode a speed boat to Lagen resort for about 30 mins. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a song, dance and a refreshing buko pandan drink. We stayed at one of their water cottages that was so beautiful. The bed, pillows and sheets were super comfortable. It is super hot in El Nido so I wished they gave us 2 room keys to keep the AC running while we were out all day. I suppose the reason is to save electrical costs but it was mildly uncomfortable walking into a hot room. The staff was really the star at this resort - front desk staff, bartenders, tour guides, waiters, etc. Everyone made us feel very much at home, and appreciated during our stay. We purchased their supplemental package, which includes activities and meals since there's no other place to eat except at the resort. The buffet meals were just okay I thought. The drinks were reasonably priced but watered down so we asked for doubles. The bon voyage song and dance were also a nice touch - about 10-15 staff waved goodbye until we could no longer see them. We truly had a memorable experience at Lagen, and have already recommended it to many friends and family all over the world.

Great stay. As always. Palawan never ceases to amaze. Although the room could use some updating the charm and the beauty of el nido won't stop me from returning here.
