We stayed at the apartment room adjacent from the hotel. The room was spacious and in good condition. The staff was always super helpful and welcoming. Great place to stay in the historical center.

A family run business. Very clean hotel and attentive staff. Only downside was being on the third floor and no lift. Other than that it was a great place to stay. Internet worked well. Gabriel makes a mean coffee.

2 Brothers running a hotel. We weren’t expecting much from a little hotel in Florence but when we walked in we were greeted by 2 of the nicest hosts we’ve ever come across in our travels. They will make sure you have coffee, they will make sure you have a great day ahead of you. No itinerary? They have a map with all the main spots and are happy to encourage you to see the city. No dinner plans? They know a couple good spots for you to check out. Overall they were kind and warm and made us feel like they wanted us to have a good time. They could be ambassadors and in fact I thought of them as such. The hotel is located next Michelangelo’s childhood home ( 1 for history) While the rooms are small they are clean and comfortable (who stays in bed all day in Florence anyway?) You’re in the heart of the city so anywhere you wanted to go is 20 minutes walking. Unless you want to splurge for a “fancier” hotel because you can, LOOK NO FURTHER. TLDR: Great Location, Even Better Staff

Every employee went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Never saw so many people making sure you were taken care of. Excellent location. They partner with a garage so if you have a car they will park it for you. Great price and breakfast included.

We had a small apartment in the auxiliary building just steps from the main office. Complete with kitchenette, microwave, kettle and stove top cooking with all necessary dishes and utensils, it met all our needs. The staff were very friendly and truly helpful. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Hotel Santa Croce is a fine little hotel in Florence. It is centrally located near everything. The room was small but typical for a small European hotel. The bed was very comfortable and everything you need is provided. It is very clean. The breakfast is simple continental style but more than adequate, and the staff will make you as many delicious cappuccinos as you desire. The staff including owners Mario and Gabriel are wonderful; very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable. We very much enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to stay here again if we returned to Florence.

Absolutely fantastic stay at the Hotel Santa Croce. There wasn’t a request the staff couldn’t help us with. They even brought out breakfast items that were celiac safe which was excellent. The room was small but the hotel is well taken care of. The AC in the room worked excellently. Location location location. Everything you would want to see was within an easy walk. We would go back to Hotel Santa Croce for our next visit!

The hotel is built into the old walls of the remains of the Florence coliseum. It’s on a lively alleyway next to the house Michelangelo grew up in and near Santa Croce square. For history lovers and people who like to be comfortably in the thick of things, it’s an excellent place to stay.

Everyone working at the hotel was amazing, friendly, and very helpful. They had great advice about the area and things to see and do and restaurant recommendations. The room was very clean. 10/10 would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a hotel, it’s a bit off the beaten path but all the better for that.

This hotel in more than excellent. Wonderful place to stay the owner and his brother were so polite,helpful, kind and great service. Very welcoming I will come back to this hotel next year. Easy walking distance to all monuments and museums. Mario an Fabrizio provided a well of information on where to go and what to see.

Stayed at the Studio space which was well designed and affordable. Location is literally in center of it all. 5 min walk maximum to most places. The operators are really helpful and nice.

Nicely maintained, clean, small hotel in a quiet road near Uffizi, Duomo. Simple breakfast excellent services.

This hotel is located in the heart of Florence, in walking distance to most of the attractions. Our room was very clean and the breakfast was good. The staff were kind and friendly. On check-in Mario showed us all the attractions around the hotel on a map. We had an issue with our room and Gabriel (sorry if I am not spelling his name correctly) was very kind and was responsive to the issue, they changed our room and refunded that night's fee. We had great few days in Florence in this hotel and left there happy and satisfied.

Excellent stay - hotel staff were fantastic and rooms were great. Location for us was just right - in the middle of the city and the conference.

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. FIRST IT WAS A HOTEL. THEY SENT ME TO A ROOM IN A NEARBY BUILDING. HORRIBLE OUTSIDE, SCARY STAIRS, OLD AND SMALL ROOM. THEY MAKE YOU THINK YOU ARE BOOKING A HOTEL AND THEY GIVE YOU A SUBSTANDARD ROOM IN A BUILDING. THEY OBLIDGED ME TO REGISTER BEFORE 10PM, IN A HOTEL!!

Great location, but have never stayed in a more spartan room. So small, I had to go outside just to change my mind. Smallest bathroom ever. Good A/C and a wonderful office staff. Very kind and helpful.

We stayed in the apartment adjacent to Hotel Santa Croce which was run by the hotel. The staff could not be more helpful and the apartment was very nice overall -- good air conditioning, quiet, clean, and roomy. The hotel and apartment are located in an ideal part of Florence -- just outside of Piazza Santa Croce and 3-8 minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, the Uffizi, etc. Again, the staff -- especially Mario -- were very accommodating and helpful.

The brothers Mario and Gabriele are the best!

This hotel is your chance to stay in a piece of history! The building is old, so expect small rooms, bathroom, stairs, and spotty WiFi. But, it's such a unique experience and the staff are amazing and so helpful. Breakfast was more than enough to get you through the morning. I would definitely stay again!

The two guys at the front desk were great. Excellent location. Simple and slightly dated room, but I think due to it being a heritage building, there’s only so much they can renovate. Everything worked though :) was warm and comfortable. Thanks heaps guys.
