There were no closets, no iron, poor lighting, difficult car access, no cups for coffee = coffee maker useless, bare minimum supplies. On the plus side: spacious handicap room with handicap parking right in front.

There was no safe parking for our vehicle. The counter person was very hard to understand. We did not feel safe so we did not stay the night.

We had a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, there was no real duvet, but only a fleece blanket.

People running the place were nice but the rooms were not. Sheets were dirty, we received a smoking room even after requesting non smoking room. Overall experience was bad. No parking spaces.

Stayed for 1 night. Everything was just fine. Good place for the price. Staff is really nice & accommodating. The location is very convenient, located close to the beach, fast food and a short drive to Fisherman's wharf area. Rooms were outdated but clean & comfortable. The parking lot is s little quirky but at least it's free & there are enough spots for everyone. I would stay again if I'm ever in the area.

I stayed there with my daughter and 2 friends for vacation. The owner/manager appeared to take a dislike to us on the 2nd day. Knocked on our door multiple times in the 3 nights we stayed. Insisted we get “room service” but meant we needed to let them in to clean. Teens don’t wake up at 8am, sorry. He acted like we were throwing a party and doing illegal things and they needed to inspect. We also forgot jackets, came back, didn’t park perfectly, tho 3 of the 4 of us stayed in the car and he came over to tell me to fix my parking, I explained, and he just stared at me until we left. Bathroom has no exhaust fan, mold on ceiling. Floor has sag in the middle, with creaking. Wall under window is squishy, room windows get condensation on them overnight. 3 towels only, even tho I reserved for 4 people. Parking is TIGHT. Overall between the nosy/rude manager/owner and disrepair, I wish I’d spent a bit more and gotten a better experience.

My husband and I stayed with our two children. It was a last minute reservation after visiting the aquarium. Check in was fast and easy. Room was big and just as described. Clean and quiet site too.

Stayed 2 nights and on the check out morning manager on duty calls at 9am and Asked my daughter if we are not staying another 2 nights for additional $300 we should leave. It was 9:00 am , check out time is 11am. I went straight to the office to ask her why She is calling my daughter who was still sleeping to leave if we are not paying for two more days. I told her we will not stay, it was very rude of her to demand either of her request at 9am Saturday morning. The place was not even average and the room we stayed at had ethnic food Smell. I would not recommend this place at all. Pay a little more for a better reviewed hotel. Sorry i score this place a 2.

All in all no complaints really, it was clean and quiet stay few days during week, got what I paid for but was happy with it

For the price you really can’t beat it. Pros: friendly office staff, reasonable rates, close to Monterey aquarium, decent remodeled rooms. We stayed in a handicap accessible room so I can’t say if all the rooms are this way, but the bathroom was huge! Bigger than the actual room which was great. The floor is tile so it feels cleaner than old carpet. Cons: the street that it’s on is right off the freeway which is nice, but it can be easy to miss it, and it’s a one way so you have to loop back around if you do. There’s a very tiny parking lot with maybe 5-6 spots, so if you aren’t disabled, you may have to park on the street. Overall, it’s fine, especially if you’re just looking for a place to sleep and leave, and for the area you can’t really find a better deal.

The maintenance and cleanliness were subpar. Parking was inconvenient. Not a good area.

Lowest price for a hotel in the Monterey area. The rooms were actually quite spacious. They have been newly remodeled. Nice windows that you can open looking towards the beach. Mini fridge & microwave worked great. Location is right off the freeway too!

I figured a cheap motel in an area like Monterey would have been sparse but reasonable if I’m going to be out all day and just need a shower and bed. I showed up and there isn’t parking, I was on the street behind a line of other residents of the motel. On entering my room it smelled very strongly of marijuana and the brown bed spread had an off color stain on it, almost hidden by the dark brown color they chose probably for just that reason. While contacting Expedia and looking for somewhere else to stay my eyes started burning from being inside the room. This place is fine if you don’t have a car, already have whatever might be on the bed, and you’re looking for a place you can smoke weed in. I checked in late so the owners charged me for the first night, but refunded the rest but with how cheap it was, I was fine paying that night to go somewhere else. Expedia rocked helping with the cancellation. Happy with their service as always, but kind of shocked that this was offered on the site.

I was extremely disappointed with the hotel on site manager & quite honestly disappointed with the entire experience. I will not be returning to this facility.

Very tight parking and one street to get into it so if you miss it you'll have to flip a U and then another U to get there. Lots of shops and food within walking distance if you enjoy walking.

The property location is awesome with easy walkable access to the beach which was a huge Plus.

The room was sloped. It was like walking down hill when you entered. There was also visible dirt. I understand for the price I wasn't expecting the Ritz, but I was expecting a level floor and a reasonable amount of cleanliness. The staff was fine. Maybe our room was an anomaly, but I won't risk it for future trips.

Nice and clean

beds are hard as a rock and the odor of cigarettes is what made our stay a nightmare.
