The property is conveniently located near the metro and the free trolly that runs un and down the street. It is very close to the trail though, so that might bother some people, if you're not used to loud noises. Club Wyndham does have timeshares/ownership programs, so they will try and convince you to buy into those programs.

It was a perfect location with easy in and out parking garage next to hotel. The room exceeded our expectations actually being larger than our son’s apartment!

Staff was very helpful. Llamat at front desk was courteous and gave me great advice on where to eat and directions to the conference I was attending in town.

This was brilliant. The room had a separate dining and living area so you could even eat in if you wanted. It was brilliantly located for everything Alexandria had to offer, and near a metro station if you wanted to go to Washington. Parking was simple.

The hotel is very clean, very well maintained, very well located and the attention is very good.

Could hear people in rooms on both sides, their TV and if they were talking loud or children yelling/crying.

The location is fantastic for exploring DC and old town. The room was comfortable and clean but could use a little updating. It had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. The common areas were gorgeous and Honestly the staff were amazingly kind and courteous. They really made it a wonderful stay. I felt it was a good value and free parting with in and out privileges was a big plus too. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Perfect place to stay in Oldtown Alexandria. Roomy and comfortable. It is right next to the Metro Station and there is a Trolley that runs up and down the main street (King St). Free parking if you have a car.

Too much pressure to “buy into” your concept! We listened but aren’t candidates for what you offer, your plan does not fit into our lifestyle!! Did not think the sales rep was able to understand us at all.
However, Tonya at the front desk was excellent, thoughtful & most helpful.

I arrived Friday afternoon around 6pm. I planned a surprise birthday dinner for my husband and as we were getting ready, realized the iron did not work. I called the front desk at 6:45 pm to ask for a new iron and was told “I’ll see if the porter is still here, if not you’ll just have to wait to tomorrow and deal with it”.
We had no choice but to arrive to an upscale restaurant wrinkled because no one was courteous enough to grab an iron from an empty room.
The next morning the shower handle fell off and we had to screw it back in. Then as we were getting dressed noticed the pillow cases were dirty/moldy but the bed had been made with the dirty side down so it was not immediately noticeable. Absolutely disgusting to think we laid our heads and face on these pillows for two nights.
Absolutely unacceptable!!

My family and I had an amazing stay with Club Wyndham. The staff was super personable and friendly. Stephen and Monica were great! The parking garage was a nightmare to get out of. Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel to folks and I will certainly be returning for my next staycation!

Rooms do not match pictures advertised. They do a welcome pre checkin call and ask you if an “ADA” room would negatively affect your stay and they place you in one anyway. When you are upset they say they are full and it’s just a suggestion PLUS they get defensive and say no guarantees ALL rooms are the same. Reservations held off site and they have NO Control! This comes from what I was told is the manager. I don’t think she is. She would not change me and seemed to not care until I got hotel.com to call on my behalf because we were changing rooms or leaving. Not only was it just handicap but the “whole bathroom” goes under water because the drain is not set right. You are standing in water at the toilet after the shower runs. They know this by the way and say it’s normal for a handicap room. It was clean in the new room, great location to city and metro but staff seems defensive when anything goes wrong. They immediately say it’s not “their fault”...I had to call front desk about our toilet and no one answered so I went down and waited another 10min with line forming and phone ringing. Short staffed as well because maintenance checked me in on a Sat evening. Which I noticed was short and sweet with info. I expected so much more from a Wyndham Property!!

The hotel itself was very nice. It was clean, the suite was well equipped and it was in a good location. Unfortunately we did not know that it is also affiliated with a time share company. We did not show up for their free breakfast and time share presentation, which we thought was optional and preferred to sleep in after our long drive the night before, and were harassed with multiple phone calls(I think it was 7) and knocking on our door even though the do not disturb sign was up (at 9:30 am). After speaking with a manager, who apologized and told us we were under no obligation to go to their presentation, we stopped getting calls. We also paid in full before our stay through hotels.com but we're still charged a few extra dollars for a rate adjustment. I haven't yet reached a manager to discuss this. Nice place but it wasn't worth the hassle for us.

When I made my reservation, this property was included among the hotels in Old Town Alexandria. When I arrived, it was a timeshare. I tried to check in an hour early, but my unit wasn’t available. Staff provided a temporary garage pass. For that, I had to endure a little pressure from a second staff person, who wanted to schedule me for an hour-long sales pitch.Pluses: location (near restaurants, shops, Metro, and the more expensive hotel hosting the conference I was attending); spacious; recently redecorated living area and bedroom; kitchen; garage.Downsides: a very hard mattress; outdated bathroom; broken iron; overwhelming smell of popcorn for the first day; no daily housekeeping (it’s a timeshare.)Price depending, I’d stay here again, especially if my family were with me. The unit was larger than many one-bedroom condos in the area. But, if you’re expecting a hotel, you’ll be disappointed in the level and professionalism of the staff.

Surprised that it wasn't a hotel. In fact, it was a timeshare and we received calls bothering us to buy within their chain. Maid service was non-existent, we even had to dump our own garbage.

I was looking for a hotel that was at least a 2 room suite so we could have a seperate bedroom then our kids. After much serching in the Alexandria/Washington DC area, I came across the Wyndham. We had stayed in Old Town Alexandria many years ago and really liked it. It was also a little more reasonable then the hotels in DC. Everything about the hotel sounded great and we were across the street from the Metro, which we used to get back and forth to DC. Check in was a breeze, and there is underground parking. The room was very nice with a fully stocked kitchen (frig, regular size stove/over, microwave and a full size dishwasher. The bathroom was very nice with a full jacuzzu in the adjoining room/bedroom. The living area had a dining table that seated 6-8, a sleeper couch and 2 chairs. There were 2 flat screen TV's (2nd one in the bedroom) and plenty of window light. The only thing I didn't like is that we were really far from the restaurants and shops to just walk outside and check out the area. They do have a free trolly to take you down there, but during dinner hours you have to wait, and wait for it to show up (there is no schedule) and sometimes, and when it does, it might just passes you by because it's too full so either you have to walk (after you've spend 8 hours walking around DC or you can drive and try to find parking). We did both. There are some really good restaurants in Old Town and the warf is a nice place to just sit. All in all, we had a great time.
