The staff were all friendly and the rooms were cosy and clean. Breakfast excellent.

This B & B is in a really good location. It offers car parking on the street for £5 a day, which is really good value. It took me (a slow walker) a good 20 mins to half an hour to walk into the town. The breakfast was ok, average. The communication before we got there was excellent and I was able to text any questions before arriving, but once we got there we were left to our own devices. We had a ground floor room, it was a nice size and clean, but needs updating. The furniture was obviously old and the wardrobe got stuck every time. The bathroom was ok, had a bath with a shower, toilet and sink, hand wash and a couple of little tubes of body and hair wash. 2 towels each but they are small so if you like a big bath towel, take your own. The towels were not changed in the 4 days we were there. The bed was soft. The room had tea and coffee making facilities.

Only used the guest house as a base so was exactly what we hoped for. The fact there was no curfew and were free to come and go whenever we chose was a bonus.

The hotel wasn't quite as it looked in the photos but it was clean, the staff were very pleasant & it wasn't far to walk into the centre of York

We had a lovely time got my steps in going up and down the stairs, breakfast was lovely and staff friendly. Ideal situation short walk to everything and the guest house in a quiet residential area. Had a lovely weekend

A lovely property, conveniently placed within easy walking distance from the centre of York. Our room, number 4, was small but perfectly formed! The shower was lovely, white towels and bedding. Breakfast was delicious and hot. Only 1 negative, room was on the front so lots of traffic noise. Otherwise, a fab 3 days. I would definitely recommend this property.

Convenient location near to York centre and railway station both only 5-10 mins walk away. Pubs and eateries also close by.

Amazing location only about 15 minutes away from city centre and all of the must See's in york, incredible staff super friendly and approachable, the room it self was clean and well done, would definitely recommend this place, had no problems throughout my stay at all.

The staff was excellent, the room was very nice although some things looked a little worn (nothing serious). The only thing I didn't like was that you could hear everything that was going on in other rooms and in general on the property, so there wasn't much privacy. I would totally recommend staying there, the best thing was the breakfast!

Very warm welcome when we arrived, check in was very friendly and efficient. Room and breakfast were great, staff were lovely. Great location, 5 minutes walk from the city gates.

Small room, small bath but overall clean. Need some maintenance. No luggage racks nowhere to put anything. It’s fine if you need a place to sleep for a night. The location was really great, walkable to York.

A fantastic location close to the center, we were made to feel welcome from the start despite arriving later than expected. A filling breakfast cooked by kevin with a good choice of food ,juices, tea or coffee. A nice welcome at breakfast by all staff. Rooms were spotlessly clean and of a decent size. Warm welcome from owner. Bed linen was very clean and bed was comfortable. The room was in the attic and was very hot due to the weather but there was a fan for use. Breakfast was very nicely cooked and included in the price of the room, which is excellent value for money for what is a York city centre location. The Crescent is a 5 minute walk to York Minster. The interior was quite tired looking and needs an update but has everything you need for an overnight stay. I probably wouldn’t stay for more than one night.

The location is amazing. Only 5 minutes walking from the wall, the cathedral and shops, Shambles. The breakfast was excellent. Really hot, efficiently served onallocated time. That is the nicest thing I can say. En-suite was tiny, grubby, very dull lighting. Bed was passed its best. Window was small so did not afford good lighting when the room was already dark.

This place is a great spot! I would definitely stay there again. It is walking distance to the train and also to all the tourist sites. (About 15 mins for train and tourist sites) buses also right outside. Lots of places around to dine and a cute, delicious bakery right beside! The breakfast included is also fantastic.

We had a one night stay here. Owner and staff friendly, breakfast was good. The rooms sufficient for our stay. All what we wanted to do was within walking diatance.

We stayed in a ground floor room, which luckily was doubled glazed as the hotel is on the main road into York. It was clean and had everything we needed. One thing that concerned us was the fact we had to choose our breakfast the night before, plus a time that we wanted to eat. I would advise anyone staying that you arrive at the correct time, because your breakfadt is on the table at thst time, so if you are 10mins late as one guest was, your food will be cold. Also its a good 20 min walk to the walls and the Cathedral

Lovely place to stay. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. 10 min walk to the station and 5 min walk into centre of York. Would stay again.
