Probably the best hotel in town. Room was in general good condition and felt clean.Locationwise it helps to have a car otherwise taxi might be required but it is only a short ride into town.Staff were very friendly and helpful.A very good experience.

Our stay was great and the room condition was excellent.

Recommended. Clean, comfortable, secure parking. Good breakfast was included, which had eggs cooked to order, plenty of fresh fruit and several other buffet items. I had inadvertently left my computer at the previous hotel we'd stayed at and asked the front desk for assistance in having it shipped to me. One of the reception clerks was very helpful in reuniting me with my computer. Overall, staff was friendly and attentive. Grounds are pleasant as well.

The staff were welcoming and very efficient when booking us in. We were overwhelmed at the beautiful, peaceful setting - lush green lawns and the most magnificent trees. Our room was more than satisfactory with much needed aircon and a very comfortable 'king size' bed. However, the over-full pillows were not conducive to a great sleep! Dinner was an excellent buffet with so much on offer and everything deliciously cooked. Eating this on the patio under the stars was an added bonus. Breakfast buffet was equally good. We just wish we could have stayed longer than our 1 night.

The Marang is one of the oldest and most beautiful hotels in Botswana situated next to the Tati River in Francistown. The hotel grounds are verdant and lush, under a canopy of magnificent trees with bungalows on stilts above the expansive lawn. Enjoy a meal and your favorite beverage pool side. Staff is very pleasant and attentive with the traditional hospitality found in Botswana. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Lovely hotel with great staff!

The stay was good.

Had a lovely stay - the hotel management couldn't have tried harder and even left us takeaway breakfasts at 5am.

Only stayed one night, but room was in excellent condition and hotel staff very cooperative and service oriented. There was a slight delay in room availability upon arrival, but they worked hard to get us into the room. Hotel is a little out of the way, but no problem as we had a car.

Because of our travel plans, we could only stay one night. It was one the best hotels we have stayed in for quite a while. We stayed for a room in the 50 series which we have since heard have been newly remodeled. The room was clean. The furnishings were up to date and the staff friendly and helpful.Had a breakfast buffet in the morning. The fruit was fresh and looked appetizing. The pastries were limited but not remarkable. The service was accommodating.Had only 2 problems. 1) We pre-paid on the Expedia website but the reservation staff twice told us that that we had NOT paid. I had to produce my booking documents before they believed.me. 2) When we checked in we were told that we would have WiFi in our room. There was only one signal there but we could not connect. We called the desk about the problem and they said connect to the one with the highest frequency. One signal cannot have the highest frequency. Went back to the desk. Could only connect to the one in the lobby. WiFi was not available in our room.

ALL staff was very friendly and helpful. On check-in we received tips for sightseeing and nearby places to eat. We were also provided some coupons for $$ off local attractions. Our room was small but clean...adequate for our need of a place to sleep and clean up, but perhaps slightly over-priced. For what we got I would have expected rate to be a little less, however, comparing other rates in the area the rate was very good. Historic district is NOT in walking distance but sightseeing train stop is very convenient (just across street) so we were able to leave our car and see everything without having to worry about driving into town and finding parking. Continental breakfast was basic but adequate. Pool was clean and fairly large - the kids' favorite part of the hotel, of course. Overall, a pleasant experience for all of us and we would definitley stay here again.

This was the best hotel that my family and I stayed in while on vacation in Florida. Not the fanciest, but certainly a good deal. Huge pool. Close to everything historic. Sightseeing trains next door...
