We’re on a tour of the islands, so we get to compare and contrast the places we stay. This one - Faros Villa - is easily the best so far. It’s located next to a nature reserve with some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, all within relatively easy walking distance. It’s run by a family and they clearly care very much about the place: just about every detail, from sheets to lighting to decor to the beautiful gardens, everything seems cared for. Then there’s the food at the adjacent restaurant. We ate there all three nights and it was ALL delicious, most especially the homemade options (unless you’re a vegetarian, try the lamb and potatoes probably the tastiest thing I’ve tried yet). Anyway, don’t hesitate. Book the sea view rooms if you can: worth a little extra for the sunsets on the balcony.

We were not met at airport as planned. There bus was broken down, yet they could have had a taxi waiting. Not a good first impression. The room is perfect. Everything you need is available and well thought out. The dining options are excellent. As other reviewers mentioned the best food! The pool is large and exceptional with bar service. Many beaches to explore.A rental car is easy with the help at the property. Please drive into the mountains. Spectacular highlights of our trip to Naxos! We enjoyed the many beaches in this location.

Faros villa was an extremely pleasant surprise. Naxos has a laid back island life and Faros villa exemplifies it. Its situated in an thinly populated corner of island though well connected and is very close to a nature reserve and some awesome family beaches. Faris is family run and they are a credit to Greek hospitality, very generous, honest and caring. Vila itself is spread out with a huge pool, garden and 8 rooms which are very nicely appointed. In the evening only noise you hear is cricket's and in daytime its birds. Food is exceptionally well cooked by ladies in kitchen led by Mama Eilene. Overall highly recommended!!

Being a small hotel decorated with taste and details makes it cosy and comfortable. Great swimming pool, good restaurant, very polite team.
Plus it's next to a wonderful natural environment with incredible beaches. Paradise.

Faros was the highlight of our 2.5 weeks in Greece. The food is some of the best we've had anywhere in the world. The views are so unbelievable as to be... well... unbelievable. The pool is perfect for lounging or swimming - ideal temp, large, beautiful design. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Amazing breakfast. I won't reiterate what everyone else has said about the genuinely warm and generous family and staff running the place (all true). Faros was much more enjoyable than staying in Naxos town (Hora) - which we also did. More relaxing - a real vacation. Though there are many families with kids there are also couples - something for everyone. We are an interracial same gender couple and felt comfortable. One thing to note: it gets incredibly windy on Naxos. We didn't know this in advance so we planned to mostly veg out at the beach and pool. But only one of our four days was really calm enough to be truly enjoyable for a peaceful beach day. The windy days are cool for other stuff - hiking, watching kite surfers, etc. but not enjoyable for beach (sand blowing, etc) or pool. The best use of a windy day for us was renting a car and visiting some villages in the mountains (ask the staff for an itinerary and they'll tell you all the cool stuff to do). That was amazing. And of course... eating.

We loved our time at Faros Villa... the staff were wonderful and very helpful in helping us get a rental car and helping us make plans for our stay on the island. And the food offered at onsite restaurant was incredible! Would definitely come back here again... Thank you, Faros Villa!

Beautiful family run villa. Nice rooms, great pool & delicious restaurant. The beaches are some of the best we have ever seen. Very quiet neighborhood. Drive to city center of Naxos is about 30 minutes I would suggest renting a car.

Faros has that bed and breakfast type feel where guests talk to each other over breakfast or drinks after dinner and the staff actually likes getting to know you. The property is large and offers an amazing view of the water as well as a few minute walk to the beach (make sure to ask about the eye of Naxos) as well as a huge pool and pool area/bar to hang out. We came towards the end of the season so it was windier and thus the water was cold but it was refreshing after you were sunning for quite some time. We stayed in the bungalow type room which was its own little building and had an adorable dining area outside as well as a cute sitting area inside. We were on our honeymoon and appreciated that we got away from the main house when we wanted. And the food from the restaurant was amazing!! The mom of the family that owns the property is the main chef and you know that you are eating home cooked meals, absolutely amazing!! Naxos island itself is pretty large so if you want to see the towns and other beaches renting a car is helpful. Faros is great at helping you, they brought us into town one day so we could enjoy it a bit since they were also going into town. Id definitely suggest this great location and if we can get to Naxos again we would definitely stay there!

In a nutshell - I would be back again and again. It's everything you wish for- good hospitality, dream location with untainted, beautiful beachess and accommodations that are the equivalent of 5 star resorts around the world. I didn't think we could spend the whole of our three day stay just on the resort and surrounding areas but we didn't need anything else. My husband and I walked around to the 6 or stunning beaches that you can walk to from Farros and ate all of our meals at the hotel restaurant cooked by the family that owns the villa and restaurant. You get everything you need at the restaurant - a burger and fresh cut fries for lunch to a gourmet rabbit dish for dinner. As for the villa - I could rave about the interior for days- spotless, BEAUTIFUL rooms. And the staff- I have nothing more to say than this is what Greek hospitality is all about.

This was a great stay as it was relaxed and away from the crowds. The staff was amazing and the food was the best that we had in Greece, hands down! Make sure you hire a car before getting there as it makes life so much easier. The beaches are beautiful as well. If you are looking for a traditional greek village stay, then make sure you book a room here as it ticks all the boxes.

Great little hotel with excellent facilities and taverna. Perfect location for us but good to have a car. Stayed on same trip in hotels 5 times the price and not as good. Such friendly and helpful owners and staff.

We purposely chose this location away from the hustle of the main part of the town so that we could completely relax. If youre looking for a relaxing place to stay within walking distance of three distinct beaches, I would highly recommend this hotel.

This place is awesome. Genuinely friendly staff who couldnt do enough to help (including Nikos running around late at night to find an aerial cable so I could watch the football!) Beautiful pool and an amazing taverna used by the locals, indicating how good the food was. Breakfast was included and was delicious and varied. Location is a bit out of the way but if youre looking for a relaxing retreat its perfect.

Best part of our multi island trip to Greece. Naxos has some nice towns, beaches and mountains. Faros was really nice with a great view of the sea and an excellent pool. The restaurant had really good traditional Greek food too. Probably need a car rental to get around as the hotel is not near a town. The staff picked us up from the ferry in the afternoon and ordered a rental car delivered for us the next morning, worked out great.

We chose Faros as it was in a remote location, close to the beach and well priced. This family run property is absolutely beautiful. We were there near the end of the season however this was not a problem. The staff were friendly, funny and engaging. The Taverna for dinner is lovely and we ate here a couple of nights of our stay. Mum runs the kitchen and cooks beautiful meals - huge and very well priced. Our room was beautifully presented, modern with a beach feel. You are a 1 minute walk from a sandy white beach and there are a few to choose from around the coves. There is also a large resort style pool and outdoor bar. You do need a car as you are 20km from the Port however they are cheap to hire and we spent a whole day exploring Naxos. Will definitely look to stay here again.

Spending three nights at the Faros Studio Apartments I felt completely taken care of. Customer service is their top priority, I felt I had become a member of the Moustakis family. Nikolaos in particular showed me around town and shared the best places to walk and spend time. At night Id eat at the taverna managed by his brother Demetrius and their mother. Each night I had an incredibly filling meal that was made with care and tasted delicious. When you walk right off the property you hit a beach. In the three days I was there I only saw two people. I walked through the cedar forest and relaxed in the sun in these beautiful private beach coves. If you are interested in meeting an incredible family, enjoying complete peace and quite with modern and tastefully decorated rooms and you enjoy getting away from it all this is the place for you! I cant say anymore about this amazing place but I hope to come back soon!

The hotel is family run with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It features an excellent pool and is only a few meters from a marvelous beach. Actually you can choose from several beaches. The traditional kitchen was among the best we tried in Naxos and Santorini. Rooms have very nice terraces in particular if facing the sea. We stayed there beginning of October.

My husband and I found this to be a wonderful place to stay to get away from it all. The associated restaurant has great food -- much more than the traditional Greek fare in tourist restaurants. And many of the products come from the owner's own garden. Local Naxos products are used to cook with. Food prices were very reasonable, as were the prices of beer and wine.
The pool is fantastic and the views of the sea from the pool and the restaurant are wonderful. Family owned and operated with a friendly atmosphere. It has only 8 rooms so it is much more intimate than many places. Other guests were very lovely. Only drawback is that it is about 30 minutes by car from the main city on Naxos, but a rental car fixes all of that. And there is a mini-market about 3/4 miles down the road, which is walkable.
It is located directly across the street from a very private and sand-bottomed beach, Alyko Beach. It was wonderful to go swimming on such a private, unpopulated beach. The water is clean and warm and does not get deep very quickly, so it feels safe.
Our room was small, but adequate. The price was very good, especially compared to some other places we have stayed in Naxos. Besides--we spent the vast majority of our day outside -- either at the pool, the beach, or the restaurant.
Highly recommended.
