Did not like that we had to pay for parking

Except the Airport shuttle experience everything was superb. Really good Place for family with lot of dining options and very quiet place.

Hotel was clean and service was good. Love love love the location!!! I always stay at this hotel when going to concerts at the Birchmere It only a 2 miles and 7 minutes drive.

Room shower was not clean

Great location with blocks of walkable food and shopping options. Large, well appointed room with a great shower, jacuzzi tub and separate toilet.

The checkin person at front desk was not welcoming. We had a long day and checked in about 8ish in the evening and the front desk guy was just discourteous. Glad we didn’t have to see him again the next day. We like the surrounding area. Would stay again if there was a more welcoming front desk personnel.

With so many dining options within walking distance, I’d suggest skipping the breakfast offered by HGI. It was mediocre at best but service excellent

We have stayed at this facility several times and been pleased. This time the noise level of the ventilation system was unbearable. Drumming, banging, humming in the walls all night. Even My husband, who is hearing impaired and had his hearing aids out, couldn’t sleep because the noise level was consistently bags the entire night. So incredibly surprised and totally disappointed. We were in room 227 on the eve of July 19th.

Great hotel

The check in person (whom I have dealt with twice and heard arguing with many others in addition to me) is rude, unhelpful, and needs to go. We travel to VA at least once a month and had planned to make this our home away from home. Unfortunately, this one staff member has ruined it.

This was our 2nd time staying here. I have no complaints either time. All employees are professional and full of information. Quiet, and clean atmosphere. We plan to use this location everytime we stay in the area. Thanks again.

We checked in late after a long flight. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We were delighted to find a full customizable breakfast buffet in the morning but weren’t prepared to have to pay. It was worth it in the end.

Needed to vacate my condo in the next neighborhood due to a renovation. I was able to book and check in the same day. Great walking neighborhood with lots of dining options, coffee shops, retail shops, library, grocery store and small theater. Parking can be a challenge but you can pay street parking which is free after 7pm and garage parking which is connected to hotel is free for retail shopping and $22 for hotel guests overnight. However, if you park in garage behind the theater to the left across the street you can get 6 hours free.

Great place to stay. Convenient parking and amenities nearby.

Great convenient stay. Room was clean, quiet and staff were friendly and helpful. My only negative was the parking. It is across the street in a garage that’s free. Why charge to park in a free garage??

Staff customer service amazing

Amazing area. Great staff

Checked in for two nights and the first night at around 10:30pm pulled back the sheets only to find them disgustingly stained. It wasn’t just a small stain but very large either coffee spill or gosh knows what else. Don’t even want to contemplate what else coming from a hotel room. Anyhow, immediately called front desk to have them come change the sheets only to be told rudely that the cleaning staff had left and can’t be done until tomorrow and then they just hung up. I slept on the chair and ottoman that night as there was no way I was sleeping in that bed. The next morning I asked to speak to a manager. Spoke to two actually (Ben and Chris) and were told it was unacceptable behavior and not up to Hilton standards. They completely agreed with me that the front desk could have come up and changed the sheets (which they have access to the linen closets),or could have switched room for us but regardless that should not have happened. I said heck they could have just given me the sheets and I would have changed the bed myself! I also pointed out that the elevator there is a sign that says Hilton guarantees your satisfaction or we will make it right. They promised they would give me a two night free voucher because of the rude staff I encountered and because I had to sleep in a chair. I would be sent the voucher through corporate. I’ve waited almost 3 weeks now and have yet to receive anything. Horrible customer service and disgustingly dirty hotel

It took about 20 minutes for a staff member to actually come to the desk to check us in but that was ok. Got to the room and the room itself was clean and nice. However, on the first go of our trip we discovered that our toilet would not flush. We were going off property for the evening but let the desk know about the issue before we left around 4 p.m. The attendance made a call and assured me it would be handled. When we returned to our room around 1:00 a.m. there had been no change to the toilet situation and we were forced to go to the lobby 5 floors down when we needed to use the restroom. I stopped by the desk around 7:15 a.m. and let the gentleman know our toilet was never fixed and I asked to speak with someone that could help me possibly get a partial refund because I paid nearly $200 and couldn't even use the toilet in the room. I was informed that no manager was there but someone would call me today. We checked out shortly after because of the inconvenience of not being able to use our facilities and I have heard nothing from the manager that was supposed to call me. I do hope to hear back and get this resolved because, had this been properly taken care of, my review of this hotel would have been a totally different story.

Great location, bad room location. Brick wall was my view as well as the trash and compactor which was being changed early in the am! Shower was good and room was spacious.

This hotel is a perfect location when attending shows at the Signature Theatre. The shopping/dining area is outstanding and overall cannot get a better option for convenience and location. However, the experience at the hotel was not good. Check-in was seemingly fine, but apparently they didn't run the credit card correctly for the incidental hold and so later that evening around 11:00pm, they called and asked me to come down to take care of it and wondered how I checked in. We were out after the show and I asked how quickly they needed me to come and they said in the next 20 min. I left the restaurant to take care of the charge, but then we we returned to the hotel, our room keys had been deactivated. After returning to the desk and getting them corrected (after being told it was our fault for not storing them correctly), we made it back to the room to discover they had been in our room while we were at the theatre. It's a shame because this is the best hotel when traveling from out of town to visit the Signature Theatre. Hoping that it will be a better experience next time.
