The bedroom was incredibly small and cramped - only 30cm all around a small double bed. We slept on the sofa bed in the lounge as the bedroom was essentially unusable

Overall good experience. Location is great, quiet, green, dog friendly and close to the beach (max 10 min walk). However the rooms and bathrooms are dated, kitchen still had fat around the stove and fridge was blackening on the bottom. Pretty normal I would say for a cheaper camping site but not when we pay what we paid. In anycase thanks to the reception for booking our restaurant and booking our yachting trip.

Nice flat, very friendly & competent staff, enjoyable swimming pool, morning well located.

Great location and very close to Juno beach. Staff were friendly and energetic. Pool facilities were very good. Room was slightly dated and parts could have been better cleaned prior to check in. Overall had a good time and would return.

This was the perfect place to stay for a few days and enjoy the D-Day Beaches. We loved that we could walk to Juno Beach. We enjoyed local restaurants for dinner and making breakfast ourselves. We felt very at home.

For an American family of 4 this was a friendly price for 5 nights with 2 bedrooms. Apartment was thoughtfully planned and built with ample storage, facilities and 2 bathrooms. WiFi good enough for up to 5 devices. Extra trundle beds for up to 7 people - this would have been cramped but do-able. Be ready to make your own beds up upon arrival and very disappointingly, the pool closed at 7 pm. Too early in the summertime.
A good enough base for DDay touring. I'd plan to be closer next time. Town and Juno beach a few minutes walk and a nice bakery close by. Aldi and a supermarket 5 mins drive. Town and harbor was very quiet - not much atmosphere and ALL restaurants closed on a Tuesday in June when we went looking at 7.30pm (most restaurants open at 7pm in France).
To get back to the accommodation, it's looking tired and needs some maintenance inside and out. See pics. CLEAN - YES - but fridge was very smelly and rusty on the exterior. Bathroom shower also rusty. Balcony is small and consumed by a 6 person table, so unusable for us.
To sum up - worked just fine for our needs, we were gone sightseeing for long hours so we wanted something that was 'good enough'. Clean - absolutely - which is everything but a note to the owners - it's time to spend some money updating and switching out old appliances, painting exterior and generally power washing etc. Thank you.

The property was clean and well presented. A lovely place to stay in a delightful seaside town. The staff were friendly and helpful. Alicia, the receptionist was excellent and managed an issue with the water with professionalism.

Loved our stay at Pierre and Vacances. Facilities excellent and very clean. Swimming pool great. Location perfect. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely holiday there again.

The apartment was roomy and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom quite spacious.

The room had the basics but the layout was odd with a very tight bedroom. The mattress and pillow were not comfortable which was unfortunate. The small kitchen and living area were good - just didn't like the bedroom. The property has laundry facilities which is great!

The location and feel to the accomodation is fantastic. Walking distance to Juno Beach museum, beach and little village with great restaurants. Staff are friendly, beds comfortable. However, missing a few essentials in the kitchen, for example, salt and oil would have been very much appreciated for a room with kitchen! Also the internet is extremely slow and inefficient (unless I assume you pay the extra fee- which we didn’t!) and although internet isn’t a “must” (I understand the whole technology detox) it is sometimes needed for researching the surrounds and entertaining children at night, it is an expectation in modern travel.
Overall though we had a fantastic time.

Nice clean quiet apartment close to the Village and Juno center. Warm indoor pool 32 degrees. We enjoyed our stay

The floor was very dirty all over the flat. You got black feet and stockings. Some kitchen-things and the cloth was also dirty. The bed in the sleepingroom was very hard. The sofa beds in the livingroom was fine.
The staff were friendly. OK swimmingpool and play areas. Good machine wash options.
There were many ants when we arrived. we bought something to remove ants and then they disappeared. Supermarket nearby was very good. All you need.

Secure, clean and quiet. Helpful staff and good location for the Normandy beaches

Room too small for a family of 3. No place to open luggage. If you are a larger person you would have trouble in the bathroom and getting around the bed in the bedroom. Only thing in bedroom is a double size bed. We got a deal on the place for 2 nights so you get what you pay for Beds very hard. Pillows flat. No air circulating in room.

Great location and very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Fridge was broken so hard to open and coffee maker took about 1/2 hour to make coffee, but these things are quite trivial I’ll happily stay again.

Nice quiet place. Good location. Apartment was clean and comfortable.

We stayed here for three nights on our way back to Calais as we wanted to explore the d day beaches etc with our children.
The location of the accommodation is perfect. You can walk to Juno beach and all the other beaches are easily reached by car.
There are ample restaurants, shops and bars within walking distance too.
The accommodation is a little basic but is perfect for what you need. There was a small kitchen but it had no oven.
My boys loved the pool which was very clean. The park was very quite and secure too.

Great place to stay to explains Normandy and especially if interested in D-Day landings as a short walk from Juno beach. Apartment small but had everything you needed and surroundings very clean and pleasant. Bed a wee bit too hard but that’s my only slight complaint! Would stay here again.

nice spot good secure parking for the spyder, for the money perfect.bonus the indoor pool, fresh baguttes every day.reception spoke english, would go again

Very good self catering accommodation , very helpful staff. But the location is rather lacking in places to eat out. Good base for touring and eating in, very clean and well kept.
4.4
All was good. Beds were a bit uncomfortable. We thought it was a little ridiculous that the pool and laundry facility both closed at 1900. That is extremely early when you are trying to see sights an hour away and have to rush back so the children can have a few minutes to swim.

Arrived after check-in, but there were no functioning numbers that could help us. Luckily another late arriver had a code to the key deposit box. The apartment is OK, but could be better cleaned. Beds are hard and short. The double bed was about 150cm wide and less the 200 cm long, and the mattress was almost like a brick.

Very close to Juno beach. Stayed in a house that sleeps up to 7. There was plenty of room for our family of 4. After some of the small rooms in Europe though the furnishings are basic having lots of space was nice. Having to make your own bed was odd, however, sheets come in sealed plastic bags so you are guaranteed they are clean. Would stay again if in the area.

Our flat had everything we needed, and was nicely decorated. It was fabulously convenient for doing the Bormandy beaches and Bayeux tapestry.....

This place offers amazing space and quality for the price. We were delighted on checking in at the layout and quality of our townhouse.

A great location for doing the Normandy landing beaches. A little confusing for North American visitors as to what is included and how the recycling works. A nice apartment to stay in for the week.
4.4
Great for families. Night life in fishing village is limited.

Great location 5 min walk to Juno Beach. Apartment was amazing!

This was our second visit. Facility great and kids loved pool. Would be good if pool could open at 8 rather than 9.30. Room and bathroom was not clean plates and cupboards/drawers needed cleaned. I did give the place a good clean before we unpacked. I did mention it reception the next day and they did offer to clean. great for families.

great apartment hotel. great value for money. close to tourist sites and to the beach. great rate. would definately return

Stayed there for 12 nights while I was exploring Normandy. I found the premises to be in good order but much smaller than the pictures in the website. I spent half the time sleeping in the lounge as I found the small bedroom somewhat claustrophobic. There was a satellite TV but the only one English speaking channel which was BBC World news. Parking facilities are good.

I was a wee bit weary after booking this stay and reading through dozens of reviews. I'm glad I didn't cancel based on what some people had to say..
The facilities were clean, comfortable, and it was easy to settle in. Like a home away from home.
We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment/townhome, and thus far in all of my travels, I have to say it was the nicest aparthotel we've booked! The 3 bedroom was just the perfect size for our family of six. It had a back porch outfitted with patio furniture which was a nice touch.
One person mentioned they had to pay for use of towels and linens. I didn't. The only catch was that we had to make our own beds with linens provided in a sealed bag, but that was not a hassle. Towels were provided. Pots, pans, dishes, were all provided.
The staff was nice and helpful. No faults there.
We LOVED the location. Just a quick walk to the Juno beach shore made for some wonderful sunset evenings. My kids didn't want to leave! Pretty close to all major D-Day sights without the hassle of staying in big city Caen. There's a huge Carrefour about 1.5 km away, and a smaller city chain within a few minutes walk.A few restaurants nearby, too.
The only thing I disliked was the lobby hours. I didn't realize the lobby opened at 9am on the day of our check-out, but we were ready to leave around 8am. Needing a receipt and to hand in keys, we couldn't just take off.
If I ever return to the area, no question, I will stay here again!

We stayed for 3nights and was very happy with our apartment. It was clean and well equipped- I liked the fact that they gave you a box which contains a small bottle of washing up liquid and cleaning products!- and comfortable.
We opted to get a public transport (and not hire a car) which was OK but you need to be very careful of what buses are available and what time. As we stayed over the weekend, buses are less frequent therefore limited us to where we could go.
Also as other have said, limited reception opening time is a bit of pain. We arrived with our case only to have missed the morning opening time by 30min so we had to carry around the case for a few hours before we could check in. Still, there are plenty of nice restaurants and lovely beach, so it wasn't too bad overall.

Spent two nights here which was not enough! This is a fascinating and beautiful area to explore and Pierre & Vacances provides an ideal base. It is within easy walking distance of Juno beach and the Canadian museum and not far to Arromanches and the other D-Day beaches.
We booked it to avoid a night in Paris and travelled easily into Caen to park and catch the train into the city. The journey was very comfortable, half the price of fares in the UK for twice the distance.
The accommodation is 'bijou' but very practical and everything we needed, except a toaster, which we could have hired from reception if we wanted to but we managed without. Just a short stride to the restaurants for an excellent choice of evening meals, coffee etc.
Others have commented on the short opening hours of reception but it is not difficult to organise arrival time to fit in and we didn't find it a problem.
The pool is lovely but the changing room is quite tight and not as private as British visitors might like especially at closing time. I threw a towel round me and hurried back to the apartment for a shower!
Lovely and quiet, perfect for a few relaxing days or longer if you are lucky.
