Great value for money right in the middle of Helsinki City Centrum. We clean room, great bed.

Great rooms with comfortable bed.
Spotlessly clean.
Main entrance using PIN was temperamental and several times I got locked out!! Door very sticky.
Luckily departing guests were able to let me in !!

Great location to centre areas of Helsinki. However, the fact there are no physical humans on reception did pose a problem. On entering the hotel one day, a new resident from Turkey couldn't get access & was on the phone 📱 to the 24hr manned reception line to get his room & access code. This phone wasn't answered at all & we had to assist the gentleman with emailing the Website with his booking reference. We also had some problems with the entry code to the front & lift which worked intermittently on a couple of days, but eventually this then worked. Also no one cleans or supplies new towels etc. The bathroom is basic & a little grubby, as was the room. Great location, but given the above issues, wouldn't stay here again. Not recommended.

Very central location, yet quiet, nice no-frills style. Good value for money.

Very convenient hotel for a traveller on a budget.

Very calm, spacious room right next to main city center

Under the main bed was really dirty and all surfaces in the romm were sticky, as when they are whipped with a dirty cloth.
The extra beds were extremely uncomfortable, and shouldn't qualify as a bed.

Easy access at all moments, in the heart of the Kamppi-part of the city and still rather quiet. Good shower. Windows could not be openend to let fresh air in - that was a pity.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Omena. Both nights were terrible, especially because there was no airflow. It was confirmed by a staff member that there was an issue and a maintenance person was supposed to fix it. When I asked for a refund given that the issue was not resolved and not what I paid for (the room was so hot and stuffy), they said they can only offer a 10% refund and that is their policy. For what I paid ($353 Canadian for two nights), it’s around a $35 refund. So, if you have an issue, apparently 10% refund is your max. I would rather pay an extra $100-$150 a night to stay somewhere else.

I didn't like it when I ask to one of the employee for the name of the hotel, and he gave me different name so I kept looking for the hotel on different places....
Then I found out that, he was wrong....

Very convenient for shopping around walking distance to many restaurants and transportation. Not so quiet but for a night or two is not bad at all, not for many days to stay.

Clean, quiet and convenient. Great price.

It was clean and a good place to stay at the beginning. Everything was pretty much okay, I just don’t like the fact that there’s barely any service here, and my tv didn’t work. The TV was that the thing I was most excited about, but overall, it’s a pretty good place to stay at, mostly because it’s close to a lot of malls and such, just the lack of service and such.

The hotel has simple standard without reception. Check-in is done with a door code you get by a text message. Pre-registration of your passport is required.
Some positive things:
* Very central location.
* The room was clean.
* It had a fridge, microwave oven and kettle.
* Coffee and tea were provided.
Some negative things:
* The double bed is not a double bed, but two single beds put together.
* The ventilation was poor, so the room got a bit warm and smelly.
* There's no electric socket next to the table, would be good when using a laptop. There's electric sockets next to the bed though.
* There's no separate door code for the entrance. Meaning you can't have a guest coming to your room, unless you want to give them access to your room during all your stay.

Okay hotel, no front desk, self check in and out. No Air conditioner. And windows are screwed shut. For safety reasons. You need to phone and ask for a window to be opened. So, I was able to open one window to let cool air inside. Otherwise the room is very hot. Too hot to sleep. You must also phone and ask for an electric fan. Lucky it was early June. The nighttime air outside cooled down. The hotel is around 15 walk from the Helsinki Central Train station.

Nice place to stay inn the center of city. No reception available... May have difficult checkin...if something goes wrong no one to approach.. Interior of the hotel very simple and neat. Clean.. Good to have a direct approachable number for help. We cant contact the helpline only once we will be able to getin. Otherwise no one to ask help if anything goes wrong with checkin

Tired and old furniture. Cigarette burns on the sofa bed mattresses. Bare minimum stuff to have at a hotel. It was a bit small for family of four.

Good standard hotel, no staff but the number pass system seems to work fine, except for going down in the lifts but I need the exercise anyway

Great stay! Convenient to the bus station and shops.

I have stayed quite often and the rooms are starting to have some shabby elements, like hooks on the walls having fallen off, in some cases the hangars being bent and also the water boiler having completely become layered with calcium remnants in the bottom.
PS. As a regular quest, I would be happier to have a view towards Eerikinkatu if possible, if not, I understand.

After a turbulent start, things did get sorted and the hotel served its purpose. You are meant to receive an email with a link the night before arrival. As this is a 'staffless' hotel, you are required to submit some information before your code number is issued. This code opens the hotels main door, the interior door, the lift, and your room. I never received the link. The next day I tried to contact Hotels.com and the hotel. I couldn't get through to the hotel, and Hotels.com was as much help as a paper umbrella. You must remember, I am now walking aimlessly around Helsinki. Finally I manage to reach the hotel direct, and all was sorted within minutes. I would suggest you book this hotel direct, and not through a third party. The hotel needs your contact details in order to send you the link. The hotel is really well located in the heart of the city. Rooms are large, with a little seating area, and ensuite bathroom. They come with a large TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities, microwave, and a fridge. I'd definitely stay again, as the location and price are great. I would however book with them directly

Disappointing. Lack of easily accessible mains sockets, the double bed is in an alcove and is difficult to get into and out of. The fibreglass modular bathroom floor is very noisy when you walk on it. The television kept cutting out. Apart from that, it was OK for a budget place to stay.

Great location, practical, rooms have enough for price, but it was loud and smelly
3.0 / 5.0
First room was too cold. We tried to call but only after trying several times we were able to speak to someone. They allowed us to swap rooms and the second room was much warmer but the TV and fridge didn’t work and we found an empty condom package beside the bed 😬
On a positive note, the room was functional and in a great location.

Superbly located, great stop over for a small family, and great value for money. Would recommend to a family on a budget.

A very basic property! Did provide good beds and a shower, but strange to see a microwave with no cutlery or crockery, or a place to wash up (although the bathroom worked out due to the clean tap water). Also couldn't open windows which made the room a bit too warm on one day. If you literally want somewhere to stay that's cheap, this is it. If you want to cook... Go to the K-Supermarket in Kamppi and you'll be able to do so!

The location of the hotel is GREAT. It is close to Esplanade, Senate Square, Kamppi bus station, Train station. The code entry worked great and the hotel was adequate and priced correctly for a budget hotel.
The only and probably a major issue we had during the stay was the lack of air conditioning. It can get quite warm inside during the summer and having no air conditioning or even a fan or have the ability to open the window made the room very stuffy. We couldn't sleep well at night because of it. I would urge the hotel to at least provide a fan if the building is not hooked up to provide central air conditioning.

Good hotel for a short stay. Doesn't have many amenities and is pretty bare bones, but the price location it makes up for it. Clean and quiet, note that you have to use your code to open many doors, operate elevators, and your hotel room door.

The door code stopped working in the entrance.

It’s cheap and close to the train station. Has good transport links with trams and metro. Those were the good points. I would’ve like to have been able to open the window to my room to allow fresh air, but there wasn’t any way to open without a key. And some of the lighting and switches could do with upgrading. Couldn’t rate the staff/service as I never saw anyone

Great location to visit tourist places in Helsink.
1.5 / 5.0
I just try to avoid this place because annoying check in via web. Even you get the confirmation that your data has been saved...another reminder arrives and you are confused if everything is ok or not. As a bonus: first door did not accepted my code. Another: all windows are closed with no chance to open ( found one "hacked" window luckily). You cannot sleep in the heat and without oxygene!! Liked the location and price, though!!
