A lovely place, a lot of ambiance and excellent service especially when it comes to helping out with arrangements of different kinds; taxi, excursions, good restaurants etc.

There is no WiFi in the room. Just a global router located in the lobby without sufficient signal. The free parking is just the village common parking areas, therefore is not guaranteed when you arrive and you have to look for a parking space around the city. Hidden fees were charged as we were told that our room didn’t included a private bathroom and have to pay extra for something we already booked. Finally, there is no air-con in the room nor tv, we couldn’t open the windows as there is a patio just outside and we didn’t want to lose our privacy. Room plenty of mosquitoes. Also the patio allows for customers to smoke which is very disgusting for non smokers like us. I don’t consider this a proper hotel.

We loved the historic palazzo, the convenience of being able to walk everywhere in the old city and even to a winery, and the staff were wonderfully helpful in every way and also with making dinner reservations for us!

Very clean and spacious rooms rught in the heart of San Gimignano. Owner was very welcoming and helped guide us to free parking areas, good restaurants and gave us tips on other places to visit. Not too many tourists in March so recommend it as a good time to visit.

Location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of everything so short walk to all restaurants and wine bars. As this is original palace the room was extremely dark, even with all of the lights on , which didn’t feel very welcoming when we wanted to spend few hours relaxing and reading for example. It would also be really nice to have a kettle in the room or common areas .

Lovely to stay in such a historic hotel! The owners were very nice and helpful. We were able to supply our own breakfast and eat it in their pretty courtyard. Bedroom wasn’t en-suite but it was just for our family and was down the short corridor. Convenient location and right in the old town. Parked the car in the free car park nearby (about a seven minute walk)

The only negative thing was that the heating was very low, and it was really cold in the room and bathroom.

The place is awesome, well located at the entrance at the Porta San Matteo next to a great eatery with super food and exceptional service. The room is large, clean, very quiet and Pierluigi gave me a bit of history on the Palazzo and the fortified city which made my first visit to San Gimignano that much more enjoyable.

On the main road however it was lacking in normal comforts. There was no soap in the room, no top sheet on the bed, the free parking was a long ways away outside the town walls so not convenient, check-in was chaotic and the beds weren’t very comfortable. Next time I would stay outside the town and park where I had to park this time anyways.

Very good location and very nice and helpful staff.
However, though I knew this beforehand, there are no elevators. About 50 steps to get to the room. Extremely small bathroom. Smaller than on most cruise boats. When you shower, water goes on everything in the bathroom. Towel support is outside the bathroom. No A/C, no ventilator, no phone or TV. There is a good size fridge. For those who trip on staying in an old palace, this is the place. San Gimignano is very beautiful. It is easy to take a bus and go visit Sienna from there.

the room was not the one the confirmation describe... it was no ensuite bathroom. Next day we move to another room and the sink was clogged...

The accomodations were awesome! I would highly recommend this hotel. She does not take credit cards and it is difficult to find. However, she will send you an e-mail prior to arrival with all these details as well as how to find the hotel. You can park out front while checking in and then you drive about 100 meters to a free parking lot .... very convenient. The City is wodnerful are easily walkable!
