We enjoyed its location to Yellowstone North entrance and the staff was kind and helpful. It felt a little small and outdated compared to my expectation. Hot breakfast was enjoyable.

Valley view room is AMAZING!

Nice place but a bit overpriced.

We stayed for two nights. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. The view from our balcony was breathtaking looking straight at stunning mountains. Breakfast was great with a good selection of food. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a 6-7 min drive from the town of Gardiner where there are several good dining options and the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for one night as part of a trip to Yellowstone. The hotel was quiet and had a good view. We liked that there were chairs outside of our room for sitting and visiting. Very easy access to the town of Gardiner and the North Entrance to Yellowstone. Very cute place!

Great little hotel in a great location. 15 minutes into Yellowstone. 4 miles out of the bustle of town. Quiet at night. We had a huge heard of elk right outside our window in the evenings. Very spacious room- but be advised some rooms require going up semi-steep stairs.

Great place to start or end your trip at Yellowstone. So close to the entrance, the elk at night you can see from your room and the breakfast was spot on. We will definitely be back. Great location too.

Minutes from Yellowstone National Park. Exceptional free hot breakfast, either egg casserole or blueberry pancakes depending on day, including toast, cereal, fruit, coffee, milk & juice.

Beautiful setting and very friendly staff!

Overall nice, very clean. Bed okay, on the soft side for me but probably fine for many. Bathroom was fine. In the room we had the Wi-Fi was almost unusable, email took forever and most anything else did not work. Nice fridge in room as well as a microwave and a good TV.

Great property and great people. Beautiful location, nice breakfast. Daily cleaning. Would happily stay here again if able.

The towel is not that clean

This hotel is hidden gem. Loved everything about it. The room was clean. The homemade breakfast was excellent. Would stay there again!

Looked for a last minute stay. Got the last room. Rates comparable to motels. Easy access. They accommodated our late arrival. Nice views. Good hot breakfast. Friendly staff.

Very cute, rustic place. We had room 15 on the west end of the property and it was perfect to sit out on the patio and look at the mountains. Highly recommended if you just want a bare minimum place to stay with a clean, comfy interior.

In general we enjoyed our stay there. Our room has nice decor and cute windows. The only thing is we got noisy and rude neighbors. It became unbearable because the soundproofing was really bad. They arrived at around 11:30, and talked loudly in the hallway looking for their "second" room. They even tried on ours without knocking first or apologies afterward. We politely asked them to quiet down. They said yes they will then kept talking loudly with their door open. We understand the rooms were not so well soundproofed, but hope the management can be more serious about quiet hours. Many people traveling to Yellowstone have a long trip and jet lag. Other than that staff was friendly and breakfast was fresh and nice.

The hotel was great! Our room was a good size with a bedroom and kitchen / living area. We also had a balcony with a view of the mountains. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was great and runs from 7 - 830am but since we were going to the park early, it worked out great. The room was very clean and parking was very convenient. It was very quiet and about 5 miles outside of town. I liked this and prefer to be in a less busy area. Be sure to note that check in is from 4 - 9pm and if you will be later, you just need to make arrangements. It's very easy to get your key if you area later. The hotel also had ac, satellite tv and wifi. The room had central ac so it wasn't just a wondow unit. This was great to have as it was in the 90s during the day. My room had a fridge, stove and cooking utensils. This was great so we could cook in the room and store food. I would stay here again. 10/10.

inn was so above expectations that we cancelled other hotel and stayed an extra night. Views were exceptional. everyone should stay here.

Clean and comfortable with a terrific view!

Danny and Jeanette are some of the nicest people you'll meet!! They gave us fabulous advice on where to eat and what places to travel to. We loved the accommodations and especially how helpful they were to us!!

The owners of this property are amazing. Most of the facilities in this town and inside the park do not provide any breakfast. Not only does the basin inn provide breakfast, but it is excellent handmade by an excellent owner. We stayed at two other places while in Yellowstone and Without a doubt, I will tell you if we ever come back to Yellowstone We will only stay at the basin inn. It’s just far enough from town that you can sit and listen to the river and not people Or traffic. You will hear a car Once in a while, traveling down the highway. But it’s way better than being in the middle of town.

Easy access to the northern part of Yellowstone, a lot of restaurants nearby, breakfast was delicious! My only complaint was the drain in the shower was clogged. Not the best feeling to be showing in standing water in a hotel, but I understand this happens even at home! Overall a nice stay!

The room was beautiful and spacious and had a two person tub which was very nice. The hosts were very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. While breakfast wasn't officially included, they supplied yogurt and water in the fridge and some breakfast bars, snacks, chocolates, etc in the room. A very nice touch. The view of a nearby mountain range was gorgeous! It was a great experience!

Very nice, quiet stay at Yellowstone Basin Inn. We particularly liked watching the pronghorn grazing out front from our patio. Such a cool spot!
