Clean property and good location in Alfama close to all the sights and restaurants.

One of the most amazing things about Portugal is the warmth of the people. Not at this hotel. Some staff very friendly, others not at all. A beautiful property with incredible views of the old city but lacking in attention to detail such as carpeting in hallways needed cleaning and cupboards and room doors that slam shut (no soft close)…loud and jarring. Mainly unfriendly staff really took away from the experience.

It’s been a long time since I enjoyed staying in a hotel as much as this. At first the location seemed a little suspect down a side street, but it was very quiet and turned out to be great to be right in the city but just off the busy streets. The hotel itself is an amazing conversion of some old buildings to produce a very chic small hotel with great attention to detail. The rooms were excellent, good design, clean, stylish, well furnished, great bathroom and AC. The multi level rooftop terraces have a plunge pool and great views across the city and river. A great spot to enjoy breakfast, dinner or an evening drink and watch the sunset. The staff were wonderful without exception. Very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. There is a gym and book exchange. Overall a really excellent location to explore Lisbon as everything is walkable or a couple of minutes ride by Uber. Highly recommended

We stayed only two nights. I will tell you 3 things we loved and 3 things that could be better.
1. We loved our free tour guide given by the hotel with Luis. 2. The unlimited boxed water and 3. The location. Three things that could have been better were 1. The size of the room was so small that we could barely walk around or open our suitcases. 2. The view was blocked by a wall/fence and 3. Despite the rate we paid, breakfast was not included.

Memmo Alfama is truly a hidden gem. The terrace/restaurant had a million dollar view overlooking Alfama, paired with amazing food and drinks. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and had what we needed. The location was perfect for our stay, so close to so many major landmarks and allowed us to walk to pretty much anywhere we needed to go. The room was so clean, we got the partial ocean view balcony and it was truly magical. I cannot say enough for much we love this hotel, we will definitely return in the future. Overall the hotel claims 4 stars but it definitely deserves 5 stars.

Perfect hotel in a perfect location with the perfect staff and with the most stunning views. We could not ask for more, every detail to enhance your experience was catered for. The room ( double with terrace) was quite compact but superbly designed and extremely comfortable. The breakfast selection and quality was excellent and the service ( particularly Monika) was courteous and efficient. In fact from arrival to departure the interaction with the team far exceeded our expectations and was the best we have ever encountered. There is nothing negative to add about this stylish comfortable well managed hotel situated in the perfect location in Alfama .

The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly….Breakfast was amazing. We would definitely return to this property. Cannot empathize enough how great the staff is. One suggestion: if you have a lot of luggage choose one of the larger rooms. We were fine with one large suitcase but would have been challenging.

We arrive late afternoon and we had to park on the street. Elevator was broken so we had to go to the 3rd floor by stairs. Manager didn’t offer us any discount because of this.

Great property in the heart of Alfama. Friendly staff, great food and beverages. We got a room with a terrace and walked out to what is probably the best view in the city. A little tight driving to get down the alleyway to the hotel, but the staff found us a free spot for our early departure. You really have to stay here. I can't do the view justice - just spectacular.

It was ok - rooms are tiny given the price I was expecting at least a descent sized room. If we had any luggage aside from a carry on then we would have had issues getting it into the room. Bar staff were so slow and when we asked for help with the umbrella after waiting 20 mins we just did it ourselves. Def not premium service.

A really lovely modern boutique hotel.
It's rooftop tapas bar is very special and overlooks the old City and the cruise port.
Staff were great, public areas and rooms are new and kept in pristine condition.
It's also very quiet despite its location, which is a 10 minute walk to the best parts of the City for dining and shopping.
We recommend this delightful hotel wholeheartedly.

We have stayed at this hotel so many times. The staff is very nice and helpful… no attitude. Little things like free water in room and lobby are so nice. Terrace with incredible view, drinks and nice menu.
