This hotel is a real gem! Beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, and the staff is absolutely fantastic. They did everything to make our stay relaxing and worry free. The sunrises from our porch were spectacular and the private beach is like a little slice of heaven. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and stay here again in a heartbeat. On a scale of 1-10, I give them an 11!!

Formidable place secluded yet conveniently located near most attractions of Rotorua. The highlights of our short stay include the sauna and spa near the lake and our breakfast near the fireplace. We will definitely come back to Koura lodge and stay longer.

The lodge faces Rotorua Lake and is a stunning setting. Each day, you see black swans and ducks swimming in the lake. We stayed in Room 1, with perhaps the best lake view and nice porch facing the lake. The room is a little rustic, but clean and decent storage. Marlene (receptionist) was extremely helpful with our late check-in and dinner reservation. Great Breakfast in am.

We loved the serene surroundings and the lodge was absolutely gorgeous as we were the only ones booked in the night we had the run of the lodge and in the morning we had a beautiful cooked breakfast with a stunning view what more could you ask for as well the lodge and our room and surrounding areas were perfect very well kept grounds and very clean we would definitely stay here again if we are ever in Rototua again

This was an amazing experience. Such a beautiful view from our room & impeccable services from Arun & his lovely wife. Breakfast was awesome, with the view over the lake. We most definitely will be returning. Thank you again Arun & your wife. A memorable trip indeed.

Loved the hot tub, the view, the stars, and the amenities in the shower The best part was the staff who were sooo helpful when we have problems with our car and were so friendly! Breakfast by their staff was Legit, I had waffles with bacon They said their hope is for their guest to sleep well and eat well and we truly did. If you need a getaway to recharge yrself, this is the place to be

Koura Lodge was amazing! We woke up with an amazing lake view everyday and the breakfast served every morning was absolutely delicious! Arun and Sheryl were our host at the time and if you’re lucky enough to get them as hosts you’re going to have the best stay ever! They were extremely accomodating and the best host we had during our 11 day trip in NZ! Highly recommended 10/10

Fabulous lakefront property. The suite was very spacious. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay sitting at the table on the deck facing the lake. The choice and delivery of the breakfast itself was superb.

Very nice location on the lake edge and very quiet at night. We even heard a morepork calling on the second night. We were greeted at the front door on arrival, which made a great first impression. The breakfast service was also excellent. The shared areas (kitchen, spa pool, sauna) were all well looked after and very clean - as was the room. We liked everything about this place except the bed which had a damaged mattress making our 2 nights very uncomfortable and it was disappointing it wasn't replaced after the first night when we made the staff aware of the problem.
