Comfortable and clean stay.

A latish checkin for us ( dire Auckland traffic 😩) Not a problem, as Bar Staff had all our details, so all sorted. The room was a haven! Huge bed, spacious bathroom, everything spotless and lots of towels! Extra bikkies with our coffee too ❣️ Everything just perfect!

Due for surgery at 7am in Pukekohe,this made the trip better as only 15min ride to hospital. Bar/Restaurant next door. Excellent shower and comfort in ground floor room.

What a hidden gem!! Highly recommend this place. Somewhere I haven’t heard of and that I’ve come apon before I found this whilst I was looking to stay close to Hampton downs.
The room was lovely and warm when we arrived, comfortable bed, luxury underfloor heating and sky tv and a coffee pod machine as a bonus!
The icing on the cake was the affordable nights stay!

Our room had the air conditioning unit outside the window which kept coming on and off all night. I had asked if the room was quiet!! I was unable to open the window as the room felt airless due to the noise from the unit which was even louder when the window was open.

Accommodation was adequate. Service was ok, feels like they were either in training or a wee bit lazy/distracted.
Room service request was disappointing- restaurant staff need further training!

Carpark spaces are quite tight as they are shared by those dining at the hotel.

Amazing little hotel in Tuakau. Far enough from the city to not feel busy but close enough that it’s not a struggle to get into. Absolutely blown away with the presentation of this hotel, really bested all my expectations

Room was clean but smelt musty. The room had a window behind the bed and that combined with the dark cream walls made the room feel soulless.
All in all for the price of the room it was ok but the meal in the attached restaurant wasn’t.
I had a tikka chicken burger with chips however the chicken was at best warm and the chips were not all hot.
On the basis that I had a long flight booked for the next day I ended up eating some of the chips and some of the bun.

The facility was clean and i had a relaxing experience. Our room was serviced on a daily basis. The shops and food outlet were in walking distance. The hotel's restaurant makes one of the best burgers I have ever had. Will definitely stay there next time. The only reason why i marked the staff down was because i did not like how a young Pakeha receptionist called us as we were walking to our car if we paid our room when that should of been handed over by her previous colleague. She was also the same person that opened our door when we were sleeping on our first day for no good reason at all. It made me wonder whether she does this to all the other customers as well and not just us. Our experience was quite positive and enjoyable despite that poor treatment.

Despite being part of a busy public hotel ('pub') the room was quiet with accessibility option (internal lift) for those who needed it.

The guest room we were staying in is in the renovated part of the hotel, which is otherwise historical and it feels it. The room is connected to a public verandah (also connected to a conference room and another guest room) and it was nice to just sit there watching the street below when nobody else was there. The room is on the main street of this small town and is close to the train station but soundproofing is surprisingly good.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent cleanliness throughout the whole facility. Room was a little small but had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable and good soundproofing from the rest of the facility. Some outside noise from the street and a late night train but all acceptable.

Was a pleasure staying here. On arrival they informed us the restaurant/bar was having live music and we could move room if wanted. We chose not to and had no problems with the sound from below our room. If ever passing through again would definitely stay.

The room was cleaned and drink items replenished daily during my one week’s stay at the hotel. The hotel is well located, close to Supervalue supermarket, and food outlets like fish & chips, 2 pizza eateries, and Western, Japanese Sushi & Thai cuisine outlets. A 24/7 fitness gym is also close by

Lovely remodeled historic hotel with clean, beautiful baths and amenities. Unfortunately, area near hotel is rather noisy due to bar in hotel, quick shops across street. Trains are regular throughout the night, but less disturbing than the street noise from motorcycles, rowdy persons on street, etc.

Lovely first impression on entering the room. Great spacious room and bathroom. Great all round stay.

Good sized room with comfortable king bed. Good water pressure in shower. Clean, neat and tidy for a one-night stay. Victorian feel around the hotel. There is a bar downstairs so not sure on the noise levels through the evening as we were at a wedding, but location was quiet from when we returned and had a great sleep with no disruptions. I would stay again.
