The Fiji Orchid is a gem on the outskirts of Nadi, Fiji. I was impressed by the small property and outstandingly friendly staff. We were well cared for and it was very relaxing. The only negative is that there was no access to a beach-side swimming. We were advised that the beach was within 5 min. walk but not to go because of the locals that get rowdy. Perhaps a shuttle to a nearby swim-spot is advisable.

Incredible tranquil stay at the Fiji Orchid. We had the privilege of spending Christmas at the Fiji Orchid with the fantastic staff and owners Peter and Jenny. Food was delicious and service very attentive. We stayed over a week and enjoyed every second of our stay. Thank to Ledge and Lo for looking after us. Thank you Fiji Orchid we will be back.

The Fiji Orchid is a beautiful secluded property with an amazing staff. We had a wonderful time and the food created by ‘Low’ was delicious and traditional. One of our best lodging experiences ever!

I stayed for 8 nights and couldn’t be happier. The staff are brilliant and so thoughtful, you feel like you’re home away from home. Everyone greets you by name and always happy to accomodate any need. Property is stunning and the food at the restaurant was amazing. I’m a big foodie so was very impressed. Bures are very comfy and have everything you need. Pool was gorgeous, even got a night swim in. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and shared a few meals with her. Much love to you all for making my stay so memorable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet & private getaway.

The restaurant makes fresh, local Fijian food and at a reasonable price considering other resorts. There are no kids or the bustle of other resorts in Fiji especially in the Nadi area. Highly recommended and will be back.

as a surprise for my husbands birthday I booked a room at The Fiji Orchard OR so I was led to believe, story cut short I had received a confirmation email from the property asking our time of arrival etc, but on arrival we were greeted by the security guard who was extremely confused when we told him we were booked for dinner and a bure, he replied we have been closed for 6 months. Not only had this property not informed Wotif and other booking agents they were still showing availability on their own site. Birthday ruined and not happy with what little communication and assistance from management in having our money returned. I understand Covid and the difficulties this has caused this industry but it is not difficult to inform potential guests of these changes through your own website

A beautiful small resort with 6 bures surrounded by the most amazing gardens. Orchids of all shapes and colours were a glorious backdrop.A short walk up a path and some stairs leads to the former house of actor Raymond Burr. Now it is used as a restaurant and we enjoyed eating our meals out on the veranda. The chef is superb and catered to our dietary needs wonderfully.The bure was luxurious and at night they did a wonderful turn down service which transformed our room into a romantic retreat complete with mosquito netting. This was more for effect for us as we had no mosquitos in the room.We appreciated the plunger coffee, Fiji water and mosquito spray provided. We had a wonderful relaxing time and wish we could have stayed longer.

Very well maintained, great restaurant and above all amazing stuff starting with the lady manager and the front desk lady Deepika who went above and beyond.

Property is nice and quiet and staff are pleasant. Location is remote so a rental car or Taxis are needed for example, you cannot walk to any other restaurants or activities. Some maintenance is required on the pool, looking a bit scruffy. Traffic noise can be heard at night and birds chirp early in the morning so that may bother light sleepers.

It was an oasis in a terrible place. We were very concerned driving down a dirt road with rubbish and a terrible bridge with wood on its surface. Once we drove through the gate and were escorted to our beautiful room....absolute bliss, private and beautiful. Perfect way to end our holiday.

The bures are unique in design, well maintained and have privacy and space between each of the six at this small locally owned establishment. The pool was large and a great place to cool off. The staff were attentive and more than happy to help with tours and knowledge. The property is like a tropical oasis and gorgeous orchids abound. Having free Wifi was good as well. Downside is the property is isolated and you either need a rental car or use taxis, in saying that taxis are fairly cheap and easy to arrange. They have a couple of regular drivers which is good and we had Lala for the majority of our trips to and fro from various local areas. Being a bit further out gives you the opportunity to see more of the real Fiji. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, but we had a bit of hit and miss with some of the lunches and dinners we had there but we found some local eateries namely the Boatshed and First Landing.

Upon check in the staff seemed surprised and almost irritated I was there- they offered little or no information about the hotel and even forgot to give me a key for my room. Entire place was dilapidated ans uncared for. Pool was shabby, dirty and gross with male staff chilling out on loungers by pool, made me feel uncomfortable as a lone female guest. No additional information in room about resort, ammenities or how to use the aircon etc in room or what is included in room rate. Room and bed was clean on surface but opening any cupboards or looking under bed revealed grubby and uncared for state. Bathroom toiletries were half empty and used. Good wifi- but not available in public areas. No water in afternoon I arrived (not hotel’s fault) but was reassured it would be back on in the evening- it was, but no clarity of information WHEN water would work resulting in no shower for me in the morning.Bar area deserted (by guests and staff!) in evening- no one to order drinks from before dinner. When staff arrived dinner served directly no water/bread/drinks offered beforehand- almost as if they just wanted me to leave quickly. Miserable atmosphere, silent and almost creepy- music eventually put on. Night was noisy with airplanes overhead, due to proximity over airport, loud main road and regular call to prayer. All fine but should be flagged on site. Breakfast more welcoming and friendly but by then I was well and truly on edge and did not want to spend a minute more there.

This place is absolutely amazing. So beautiful. At night we could hear the rain and it lulled us to sleep. Timothy was excellent and giving us tips and advice and delicious cold beer. Ledge was great and so accommodating as we had to leave early the next morning before breakfast was served. He graciously delivered breakfast to our Bure super early in the morning. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. It was so fun just walking through their gardens. Bula and Vinaka for your amazing hospitality!

Everything was so personal - everyone including the groundskeepers would all introduce themselves at the beginning of the stay. They run a fairly limited staff so a lot of people do double or even triple duty, which I really enjoyed because you get to know the staff a bit more since you're seeing them so often. They genuinely care about making your stay exceptional. The room was absolutely gorgeous, and the bulas are very private. When you're at breakfast or dinner, the staff must communicate to send someone in to clean up, replace the flowers, and set up or put away the mosquito net. Everything was stunning - it was so hard to leave the hotel because of the sheer beauty of it! When we did go on an excursion, our driver was so friendly and full of facts. The pool was beautiful and refreshing. There was not a single thing that I would change or wouldn't recommend about the entire experience. We were there for four nights, and the only regret I have is that I didn't stay longer.

We arrived from 2 weeks of travel in Australia and NZ for a night of blissful quiet and relaxation and that is exactly what we got. The accommodation was exactly as shown in the pictures and we were surrounded by intense vegetation that created a privacy we so needed. The staff was great, the water in the beautiful pool very refreshing and the meals were perfect. We enjoyed the experience so much we re-booked for the last day of our vacation and it was equally perfect. Go!

It is not a resort. Don't go if you are scared of frogs as they are everywhere at night. Take a torch the pathways are not lit up.There are no telephones in bures to contact reception. I had no blanket in my bure. I was cold the air con was off and I had to freeze as it was in the early hours of the morning and I wasn't going to walk in the dark through the frogs to get a blanket. On many occasions no one at reception. They don't do money exchange either.
