Friendly staff very clean room really a five-star hotel

The hotel was better than my expectation. Very clean rooms, full of amenities, and good service, with a free shuttle bus to/from the city center.

This is a really nice, upscale hotel located about half a mile from the seafront in Aqaba. The photographs on the website don't do the hotel justice - the lobby and reception are beautiful. Service was good and the staff are friendly. The restaurant offers a buffet dinner for around $15 JOD/each and alcohol is available in the hotel . There are car parking spaces at the front the property which are free of charge. The room was pleasant with a large balcony overlooking the city.

The hotel not 5 stars rooms too small the check in desk lie to me they told me they don’t have 2 bed available when I booked the extra room they give me double bed room and they won’t my kids go in you have to be careful if you have kids they make me book another room for my 12 years old daughter I don’t recommended this hotel at all and the AC off I asked them to turn it on they ignore me the rooms too hot I couldn’t sleep and they won’t refund my money back because no cancellation

Nice and luxury hotel , lovely staff , v good management

I have been one night in Oryx hotel,as I was traveling alone I needed to have a hotel to help me for booking the buses for Wadi rum and Petra. The staff were so friendly and helpful, I did my check in with Mr Fadi and he helped me with booking the bus and my question. Also after checking out, I needed to use the room again and the manager of hotel let me in.Super service. I appreciate a lot.

Let me start with pointing out that the staff at this hotel are exceptional, very helpful and friendly. We booked connecting rooms, & when we got there we found hair here and there, so when the manager asked the next day if everything was ok, we informed him about it. We were super impressed how they handled it. The manager who is responsible for housekeeping clearly was disappointed to hear that and wanted to meet us in person and make sure they meet our expectations (apparently he is a consultant from abroad who joined the hotel recently). Later, when we came back to our rooms after a beach time, we found not only super clean rooms, but also we were so surprised to see rose petals all over our bed and towel swans, it might be a small thing, but definitely made our day! For the rest our stay they kept asking if there was anything else they could do for us, they truly managed to make us feel special throughout the stay. They also helped us to find a driver from Aqaba to Wadi Rum at a very reasonable price. If to be completely honest, to meet 5 star hotel standards, they require a little cosmetic renovation to freshen up, but they told us that they are aware of it and working on it, so thats good. They also had a belly dance every night from 9-10pm that we enjoyed very much. We would like to say special thanks to Mohd Shobaki and Nep, you guys went above and beyond and our experience at Oryx Hotel was definitely a highlight of the whole Jordan trip.

I was about to be electrical shocked, no maintenance, not enough pillows. They wanted to charge me for ice seriously!!Breakfast was cold, not everything was there.

Everything is very beautiful

We ended up being the only two foreigners at the hotel during our stay. We had a great experience, everyone was very professional and friendly. Can highly recommend staying here.

It was horrible. The smell of the room reeked of cigarettes, the pool was extremely disappointing and small, and was filled to the brim with kids, the jacuzzi didn’t work, the hotel smelled like paint, the lock on the bathroom door was broken, we asked them multiple times to fix the smell of the room and they said they would but they never came. I have NO IDEA how they are rated 5 stars. Do not recommend coming here.

The hotel is spotless and the staff are really helpful. There's a gym, steam room and pool - which we didn't use but look ok. We had a really comfy room, with a decent bed and a balcony overlooking the city and the mountains. Excellent value

This is a great value for money hotel. Very spacious and clean rooms. Our city view was amazing, specially in the night. The balcony was big enough to enjoy the view from our room. Breakfast and dinner buffet was tasty and there were many options to choose from. Internet connection was working with no issues. Location not very near to the centre but I would definitely go back :-)

The hotel was very nice, and service was great from the front desk manager, but we had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was not very good. Service was horrible in the restaurant. We never could get coffee in the morning.

I like the pool and restaurantAs for the shower the water was very weak Room service were slow
