Our bed was not comfortable at all, it was literally made of bricks..extra fees for everything was not convenient also for us. Lot ot noises around our room too was really annoying

Like the cafe/bar in the basement. The 2 buildings across the street from each other makes it a bit inconvenient, for instance, to get to the kitchen from hostel room if they are located in different buildings. Otherwise, clean, nice, comfortable.

Beautiful hostel. Makes for a nice home base. Very central to a lot of shopping, but still on a quiet street. The train is close, so day excursions to tourist hotspots are extremely easy.

What a great place to stay in a very cool area of Kyoto.

Great location in Kyoto in walking distance to lots of restaurants, shopping, temples, etc. Stayed in a private room which was clean and comfortable with everything you need. The kitchen and lobby area are really nice. Water pressure in the shower was excellent. Got a weird vibe from the staff, but they were nice enough. Would stay here again.

Great poperty near Nishiki Market and Kyoto Imperial Palace. 5-15 min walks to most subway and bus lines. Its very modern inside and had a jazz band playing downstairs when i checked in. Would def stay here again if i return.

Great location, just next to the Nishikyo market, plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes around.
We had a room with a bunk bed - tiny, but enough if you just need a place to sleep. A bit disappointed as we booked the room with breakfast (via Hotels.com) and it turned out the hostel does not provide breakfasts.
It has a wonderful roof terrace.
Good value for money in general. I would recommend.

A brilliant hostel, we booked a private room with an en en-suite which was a great size. The communal spaces and amenities are gorgeous and really convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect location to explore Kyoto from too ☺️

I got the double room, and it felt just like a nice hotel room. The installations are kept very clean, they provide slippers, towels, and pillows just outside the door if you need them.
The downstairs area it's really nice. They sell lots of different drinks and some food too.
It is very conveniently located by all the major shopping and dining areas in sanjo, but just far away enough that it isn't noisy at all.

Brand new hostel. Very nice terrace. I stayed in a twin private room with ensuite, so it was like a hotel for me.

This is by far the best hostel on Kyoto. Amazing dorms! So clean, nice breakfast, awesome location. I loved it so much.

Piece Hostel Sanjo is a perfect choice to stay in Kyoto, close to shopping streets, attractions and restaurants. Rooms are small, but have comfort, beds are nice. Breakfast could be a little better, with options for western travelers. Juices, eggs and a cappuccino would be a nice touch! Add coffee and milk please!

The private room with bunk bed was extremely comfortable and the bed was much wider than a single. The private bathroom was very convenient. The breakfast was good with western and Asian options. The hotels map and restaurant recommendations were faultless. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. We would recommend.

This is hands down one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. If not THE best. Staff were super friendly and helpful, place is clean, Dyson hairdryers are a nice touch, and a fancy bathtub/bathroom was amazing!
Free breakfast, even though on the lighter said, was really good too! I’d recommend this hostel hands down. It was great! And so worth the price!
