Had a nice stay. If you book the family room, just be mindful that there is no elevator and it’s on the third floor.

The hotel is of the 18th Century and the furniture is in tune with the time. From the hotel one can walk safely to any place within the walled city. And it is extremely quiet in the hotel, regardless of the noise outside. Breakfast is excellent, with a different "typical" Colombian menu each day. The pool is small but quite nice. The people who work at the hotel are quite nice and available 24 hours.
The rooms are lovely and quite clean. And all of the furniture of the hotel is from the 18th century.
For me, the only problem is that the rooms have no terraces or windows towards the outside, but the good point is that one hears no noise whatsoever.

Weekend nights unable to sleep because of a club / wedding venue next door loud music until the late late hours . Room was difficult to cool down so overall warm, the house is al fresco with exception of Dining area.
If you require a cold room this isnt for you . This is a very old original house . We loved it!!! but we wouldn’t stay on a weekend night again

I like this property and I met the owner very humble and friendly man. Breakfast and coffee were good. Its made to order no buffet with cheap options. Rooms are clean and quiet on my side. Rooftop with pool is very relaxing . I gave 5 stars but just a couple things no towels in my friend's room or my room when we went to take a shower. I guess they forgot . Also I did get a recommendation from the one of the ladies at the reception area for a guy who does tours to the beach. and other places . I decided to take trip to the beach the last day before I left and it was very disorganized frustrating trip and no one spoke English. I tried to converse with the guy William which I was told by reception he spoke English but he did not answer, the phone,he just wanted to text which was concerning. Anyway I do not suggest using this guy to organize any trips. Otherwise my stay for 3 days was nice.

The room was huge, breakfast was excellent, beautiful rooftop with a wonderful view.

The property is positioned as a "boutique hotel". While it has character, it lacks features and amenities one might expect.
For example, there are very few electrical outlets in the room and they are not well-positioned. I could not charge my phone on the night table.
The guest safe is VERY small - only large enough to but in wallets or passports. Could not fit a purse, a tablet or a small computer.
The air conditioning cools but does not effectively dehumidify. As such clothes and other items do not dry well.
It would be nice to have more towels in the bathroom.
Only the hot water faucet worked on the sink. The cold water faucet did not function.
The bar fridge is located INSIDE the wardrobe, making the wardrobe warm and humid.
Staff were very nice and helpful. Location is excellent - very central within the old walled city. Many good restaurants nearby.

Nice room with very attractive old style. Biggest complaint is that the bar room band plays very loud until 1AM. It was not possible to sleep until the trumpet and drums stopped playing.

Only stayed one night at the end of our trip but was very impressed. Incredible architecture, friendly staff and a very nice room. The bathroom was especially nice. Spacious with great tile work. Also the onsite library is must see.

The house us a great representation of the architecture. Well conserved, full of history. The house is in a great location, close to the clock tower and all the different squares and the wall.

I stayed here with my partner for a friends wedding and it was extremely comfortable. At the time I went the city was having issues with water, no water in many restaurants and other hotels; Casa Cordoba always had water with great water pressure and temperature. The bed was extremely comfortable I only had a good nights sleep. Staff were amazing and kind, breakfast that was included was delicious. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owners husband and had a pleasant conversation with him. Overall place was very tranquil even familiar to me. I felt right at home :) . Thank you Casa Cordoba for a pleasant experience.

I liked the ambience of a colonial period style of the building, the furnishings which evoked the era., etc. The staff was very responsive and helpful.
What I abhorred was the high decibel noise of a wedding celebration next door on a Saturday late into the night, it gave me a headache, I couldn’t sleep, the staff let me move to another room for the night where the noise was negligible so I could sleep. The hotel staff had no authority to do anything about it legally because it was not their property.

Property is extremely charming love the colonial style. Beautiful details. I enjoyed exploring the library. The staff was excellent. The room was small but that was ok. We did have problems with the hot water as it was too hot & had trouble regulating it at the shower. For the cost of the room the hotel should offer a few more aminities such as body cream, blow dryers n possibly slippers. Breakfast included was satisfying. We had a lovely time.

This property was in the heart of Wall City. The bedrooms were outdated and the air condition hardly worked. For the money I paid we should at least have a comfortable sleeping environment. The staff was helpful and very nice however didnt solve the a/c issues. The breakfast was delicioius and overall service excellent minus the AC

It’s super centrally located, in walking distance to every important site. This boutique hotel is so beautiful, it feels like living in the colonial times. I loved the library on the second floor, and its balconies.

So much to like about Casa Cordoba Estrella. Staff was amazing the entire stay. Morning breakfast is made to order with incredible fresh fruit, fresh juice, eggs and more. The location seemed to be less than a five minute walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Room was very large and air conditioning worked great. Staff made sure that our morning transportation to the airport (4:30 am) was on time. Would stay here again for sure.

One of the most unique, charming hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The structure and design of the hotel was beautiful, the room was extremely comfortable (and had AC), the staff was friendly and attentive, the pool was a bit small, but clean and refreshing, and the breakfasts were delicious. The location was on a slightly quieter street in the middle of the old town, which was extremely convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place, excellent service. Rooms are very spacious, the washroom is huge and its floor tiles resemble colonial times. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only sad part is saying goodbye and coming back to the arctic cold.

Beautiful building with great rooftop pool and adorable old library room. The staff didn’t speak much English, so be ready with your translation app,

This property is very secure and in a good location. The issues we had are that the room never really cooled down, the bed was short, and the wifi would cut out during usage. Room is equipped with a wall mount A/C and overhead fan. But our room had doors to a balcony and to the inner courtyard that were not flush with the floor. So no matter how much you run the A/C the room didn’t completely cool down. Not great in the 100 degrees, 100% humidity. Also the A/C didn’t reach the bathroom. The bed was very short for a “queen”. My husband is 6’2” and couldn’t fit top to bottom on the mattress. These might not be issues for you, and if not it’s a great place to stay. But for what we were expecting based on the description it didn’t quite fit our needs.

The best location EVER! The hotel is an old structure and therefore has old plumbing, the walls sweat during the day, minimal amenities (pool is tiny). The bathroom towels are clean but are old. When we arrived we had to have our pillowcases changed due to visible stains. The staff are THE BEST! They make up for the above discrepancies. Breakfast if good but the same every day. I would stay there again only for the staff ( they made us feel at home).

Great location right in the center of the old city. It was a 10-15 minute walk to pretty much anywhere you wanted to go. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the room was spacious and clean. Air conditioning worked great and the shower was awesome. Breakfast was included and was pretty good but there are so many great cafes to walk to that we chose to skip breakfast most days. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cartagena.

Most rooms do not have a window to the outdoors. TV only worked 1 day. No explanation given. Faucet leaked in bathroom so couldn’t leave things on the vanity.
