This resort is nice enough but overpriced. The deal breaker for us was the extremely loud music from the beach bars nearby every night that makes sleep impossible until after 11:30 PM. It is exhausting to have to endure this every night - ear plugs do not help much. Why this is tolerated I do not know.

Wonderful grounds, pool and views. Very nice accommodations---unique mix of old world and upscale. Great location at Cruz Bay. Communication was a bit slow but friendly.

A beautiful development in a great location. Walk to town for restaurants and shopping. Hotel shuttle service from the ferry. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great pool and views! Nice little market onsite. We will definitely stay here again!

This is an average property that is way over priced. Next to a cemeteries. Stay away.

Great location, friendly maid service

Great property. Just far enough from town that it was quiet and calm at night, but was a quick walk to amazing bars and restaurants. The property is a clean, private, tropical paradise on a cliff with a beautiful view. Best sunsets!!!! There wasn’t much of a beach on the resort, but that didn’t mattered because St. John’s has some of the most beautiful beaches just a short taxi cab ride away. All the employees were kind and helpful. Truly an amazing gem. 12/10 would recommend if you wanted a relaxing getaway.

The property was amazing; the view, the staff, the services were all great. The proximity to restaurants and other POI was a big plus for our stay. We plan to stay at Gallows Point again, thank you all!

We always love staying at Gallows Point and had a wonderful time! The only downfall was the unit we stayed in this time was not updated as it was in previous stays.

Loved the views and location of this property. It was just a short walk to town which was fantastic. The pool area, beach area, and grounds were also amazing. The unit was very comfortable with a great kitchen area and balcony.

We love love love this place! We come back as often as we can. Top notch everything!

WARNING- St Thomas and St John are Mask aggressive! If your looking forward to going on a trip without mask rules don’t go. Even if your vaccinated you must wear a maskeverywhere on the island. They are super rude and highly aggressive enforcing it. That’s all we heard the entire time “fully cover your nose” “ mask sir mask mam”. And this is even outdoors and at the beach. No freedom and entire island is in fear for their lives of the COVID. Just a heads up for others who haven’t been forced to give up their freedom in places like Texas and Florida. We were shocked. It’s hot and the masks are full of sand but you will wear one or they will get very aggressive. This island was not friendly about it at all from the first steps off the plane to every beach, taxi ride, walk in town restaurant bar etc. and good luck getting food anywhere without a reservation, it’s packed everywhere and we had to eat candy and chips for most meals. But off of that subject and on to the Gallows Point. Gallows Point is the nicest place on the island to stay. It is very pretty and grounds are well kept. Cool peacocks and lizards everywhere on the property. They have a store onsite which I would recommend doing all of your shopping at because the other stores are the same price and not nearly as nice or safe. They do tend to have a more island rules work ethic FYI. The store says it opens at 8 but I promise they won’t be there. Very slow to get around to helping with anything.

Perfect location for us with quick walk to Cruz Bay. Well kept grounds and rooms can be cleaned daily. Small shop on site for many needs. Ocean views were fabulous. Nice snorkel spot too. We rented a Jeep directly through the resort and parked on-site. Wonderful time.

We stayed at the lower level facing the ocean, there was an access to the lawn from the patio which is nice. The parking is a bit tight but doable. Good restaurant on the property with a nice ocean view. The hotel has a small pool, a gym, a coffee/souvenir shop and an access to the ocean but I assume you will most likely travel to other beaches: Honeymoon/Salomon, Hawksnest (easy to see the parking), Trunk, Cinnamon, Maho. All of those beaches are nice and you can swim/kayak to nearby beaches (for example from Honeymoon to Salomon or Caneel or Scott). There is a nice Reef Bay hike, roundtrip ~ 5m. When driving from the barge to the hotel use the road via the rotary. St. John is much much better than St. Thomas, no only in terms of beaches. The hotel is 5 min walking from the town.

Love the property and the pool SO much. Worth every penny, even though it was quite expensive. Security can be a little too much, they were a bit too aggressive in the evening hours. Also, surprised they would not pick me up with the shuttle late in the evening. There was no access to the gym because “some lady took the key” so I would have liked to experience that! A run outside got the job done though.BUT that is me being nit picky, overall 8.7/10 :)

Friendly check in. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful view. Easy walk into Cruz bay. Perfect for our one night stay before getting our villa in Coral bay for the week. Would stay here again.

The location can not be beat as it is so nice to walk to Cruz Bay. The room was spacious and airy and we loved the deck. While there is access to the ocean, the pool is amazing. Housekeeping was underwhelming, and our issue was not resolved even after a call to the front desk.

We’ve stayed here 4 times and it is absolutely the best place to stay in SJ. Beautiful rooms, great staff and close walk to Cruz bay.

The property was great! The best views I have woken up to on any vacation. The accommodations offered everything needed with lots of space and was located within walking distance of great restaurants and Cruz Bay.

The property is perfectly located to restaurants and bars. The pool and snorkeling areas were great. The staff was very nice and helpful. The unit was nicely decorated but a bit worn on paint. I would definitely rate it as one of the best spots to stay in St John.

Great location, beautiful property & wonderful staff.

Our unit 12D was in poor condition. No HOT water at all -came the next day to repair and still no hot water. Couch springs are shot-had to sit in chairs at the table. Dishwasher not work and blue light flask g all night preventing sleep in the roll away. Staff very nice and grounds beautiful. Front desk said they don’t know condition of j told u less someone tells them. Had always heard good things about Gallows Point but clearly it makes a difference what unit you get. I would NOT stay here again-
