Cozy little inn a short stretch down the street from the airport. My room was reasonably clean, but I did find a stain on one of my pillows. The staff was very friendly; the receptionist helped me carry one of my heavy checked bags up the stairs, and I had a fun conversation with one of the servers at the Indian restaurant downstairs. Speaking of the restaurant, definitely try it out if you're a fan of Indian food, because I thought it was good enough to go back again for lunch after I ate dinner there the night before. The walls of the inn are very thin; I could hear my neighbour chatting on the phone while I was trying to take a nap in the afternoon.

Property was older however functional. walkway to room was long with several turns and stairs. Staff was extremely cooperative as we arrived very late from the ferry.

The restaurant should have really been more of a western type of food that could cater to a wider variety of clientele more family type of dining.. The front desk clerk was really nice, i believe her name was Karen and super helpful & friendly. The rooms were adequate but beds were a bit hard & carpets should be replaced, although i frankly don't know why carpets are even in hotels anymore as they are so unhygienic, im actually surprised that they are even allowed given so many allergies people have nowadays. Clearly vinly flooring is the way to go . The grounds in the back were also fairly unsightly and needed some serious tidying but other than that all was good

We arrived from a ferry at 1;20 am and the front desk staff person was very accommodating and friendly, particularly given the late hour!

Very good value for the money. The room was clean although dated. There was complimentary Continental breakfast. The staff was very pleasant. I would recommend a stay here.

Glad that they keep a clerk there until the ferry arrives. It came in late. Had a reservation for a room and because other guests arrived before we did (unloading order of the ferry) I was asked to take a room with one bed instead of the room with two that I had already paid for. No compensation given, just a “thanks”

I wasn’t sure when I booked but once I got there I was happy. Manager was a very kind man who went above and beyond for us. No air conditioning in our room but overall very satisfied. Hotel was safe and good for families. We stayed there for eight nights and used it as a home base while we explored Vancouver Island north. We were able to stay longer than we otherwise would have due to the budget price. Not a luxury place to stay but perfect for a family vacation on a budget.

Arrived late and we were greeted by the manager, Bernie, who was so lovely. Super smooth and easy check in. First section of first floor did smell strongly of cigarette smoke but each hallway is separated by a door and the area we stayed did not smell like smoke. Room was large with a kitchenette and a comfortable bed.

The staff at the Airport Inn was friendly and accommodating. Though when you walk into the hall ways the smell of smoke was fairly prominate . The rooms do not have air conditioning which would be fine if you stayed there in the winter months. You definitely hear other traveller's in the hall way. For those that take the early morning ferry they allow you to go into the breakfast room the night before and help yourself to any breakfast items you would like. Which was great!

The staff was wonderful. It is an old hotel so lots of creaky/slamming doors but the staff made up for that! Beds were comfy and good selection on the very large TV!

The Airport Inn was one of the better values in Port Hardy. Not the best location, but if you came by a vehicle, then not really a big deal. The onsite restaurant was very good.
