Great location but not easy to drive to as there are a lot of pedestrian only streets near the hotel. Parking is at the art museum garage a few minutes away. About 30 CHF per day. Hotel was great and modern with a bar in the lobby. Staff was nice.

Tram stop right outside, cafe below, coop market around the corner, bars and restaurants across the street, 2 blocks from the cathedral, extensive shopping within 1 block, just a great location. Stayed her a night before the river cruise and it was an excursion in itself. Noon check out so we had the morning to explore, then took the tram down to the dock - careful, be sure you have the right embankment dock for your particular boat…tram also took us straight from train to hotel. It would be good for Motel One to list easily which Tram to take from station to stopping point, etc., send in a pre arrival email, because it was SO easy and convenient. Not easy with big luggage to get in the doors up the stairs and across the cobblestone courtyard so be aware. Room was small but well equipped, clean, comfy and quiet. Everything is pre pay so no hassle on the way out with bills. Bartender 24 hours/day and attentive. Meeting space with friends on the first floor meant quiet upstairs for the rooms. Just a fantastic pre our post cruise hotel - highly recommend.

Fantastic experience. The hotel’s location is right on the centre of the city, the rooms are squeaky clean and comfortable. Love the pillow choices! The staff are ver professional and friendly. Their card key system was down for one day and I was very impressed by the way the team handled the inconvenience. Can definitely recommend!

Fantastic hotel, great location, super professional and friendly staff. The rooms are reasonable sized, ultraclean, with comfy beds and choice of pillows. The only thing I was missing was a small fridge to keep the water cold.

The first thing you encounter when you walk in the door is a bar, the check-in desk is behind that. The view is awful, the shower is not enclosed so water goes everywhere. However, the room is spotless and in mint condition. There is air conditioning and a breakfast buffet is available. They provide free WiFi and are located within walking distance of many things.

The room was kind of small and shabby but the location and the service were absolutely excellent. The breakfast buffet was top notch.

Love the hotel. Super cool vibe! Small but very fun rooms! The most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever had in a hotel. This was our second stay. Nice bar with good food and comfortable sitting areas. Nice to be able to walk to the Amsterdam airport.

The hotel was great, the staff even better. Our only negative was that we got a disabled room with a wet bathroom that we didn't need and it was impossible to shower without a flood. Oh - tea and coffee in the room would be a nice touch too. Location - excellent

We stayed at motel one Basel the night before a cruise we were scheduled to take. The staff was so nice, super helpful. Room was very clean, bed and pillows perfect and the bar and breakfast was a added plus.

We had a lovely stay at the MotelOne. The location is perfect, the staff are lovely and it wasn't too expensive considering how much things generally cost in Basel. Also one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. Highly recommended.

Very convenient location. Goof value hotel. One suggestion: I was on a business trip and would have welcomed having a small work station in the bedroom.
