This hotel is pretty far from Amed centre. You are reliant upon a scooter or the hotel’s offers. The hotel provides scooters and transfers but to excessively high prices. We paid 77k IDR for a scooter for 12 hours (not 24hrs as everywhere else). The speedometer did not work and the scooter hardly had any power which we however needed in this hilly area. We also required a transfer to our next location which they offered at a price more than 40% higher than we finally paid (and this was even comparably high). Although the hotel is far from the center it is located directly next to a busy road which can be very annoying. Apart from that the hotel facilities are nice with a clean pool and nice restaurant with view on the beach. Also most of the staff were really nice and even fulfilled special wishes at dinner.

Rooms are clean & spacious, with all the amenities required. The food here is amazing and fresh! The local area is very quaint and feels much more like the Bali of old. Sadly, there was much rubbish & plastics on the beach and in the water, a sign of poor waste management processes. Hoping education will change this.

The Palm Garden is a very nice resort at the end of Ameds busy streets. Its located on a strip of white sandy beach adjacent to a very cozy pool. The bungalows have a small terrace in the front, a King-size bed and a open-air shower (not sure how practical that is when it is raining). Breakfast was also nice- you are given a menu from which you can pick a set amount of breakfast dishes. All in all, this place was very nice and peaceful after a couple days of intense diving. I would highly recommend it.

We stayed 5 days in Palm Garden Amed. It was our second time in this Hotel and we had been very happy again. Even though surrounding is not always perfect, the Resort itself is perfect Relaxing area. We had 1st floor Apartment with beautiful view over the Bali sea. Hotel staff is Little bit reluctant, but always friendly and if requested very helpful. We ordered 2 massages, which we enjoyed. There is reef in front of the Hotel, which is quite nice for snorkeling. If we once return to Bali, then Palm Garden would be one of our first choices again.

The breakfast, which is included, was delicious! Definitely don't skip it! The outdoor bathroom was lovely but we didn't quite have enough hot water for two. The hotel is directly on the beach and also has a nice little pool on property. The rooms were cold, even when we turned the AC way down at night, and there was no blanket in the room (only sheets on the bed). The location is actually outside of the town of Amed and is not in walking distance to much - you would need transportation or a driver to go anywhere. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would recommend to others.

We stayed 4 nights in Palm Garden Hotel in Amed >> deluxe room beach view (highly recommanded). Hotel in very good shape. Room with amazing view to the sea including beautiful sunrise. Staff friendly and helpful. Use Spa facilities highly recommanded located in separate villa providing excellent service. We enjoyed dinner and we had been very satisfied. There is no breakfast buffet in the morning >> only choice of one cup of tea / coffee + one glass of juice + 3 dishes out of app. 12 selections. At least, no limitation of coffee and water / juice preferred. Location outside Amed. We could not find any suitable restaurants, bars or stores around the hotel, which was actually ok as the hotel offered comfortable stay. 3 hours away by car from Denpasar. Snorkeling in front of the hotel possible. Room did not include TV, which is quite unusual for a hotel, but we didn't miss TV at all. Bathroom partly open to outside, but once got used to this, we enjoyed.

The manager of the hotel was extremely helpful in the planning of our trip to Bali.

The manager, Astawa, is an excellent person focused on quality details from gardens to air con. He worked for several years in Caribbean on cruise ship and Japanese restaurant in USA. His kitchen staff does a great job and his special menu selctions make the difference in choosing similar places here in Amed. Great friendly staff will arrange boats for snorkeling or just cruising and day trips .....

We returned some and had about 6+ glasses hanging out on the counter by the time of check out. While we are fully aware that the beach in front of the property is public and that fisherman use it regularly, we had them playing loud beach games for hours and were harassed by them when they were trying to sell things to us over and over again. It was hard to enjoy our private pool and outside area with an audience and men with their hands down their pants staring. While this isnt the problem of the hotels, I do think that security should be present to ensure that guests arent being harassed. We had one guy bothering us for hours and we were in our villa. It definitely ruined not the experience for me. We love Amed and wont hesitate to return but wish some changes with customer service could be enforced.
