Fantastic place to stay and location is superb. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful at all times.

It is a great place to stay at a very good price, I like the big rooms better, staff is very nice great breackfast, very clean rooms and pool!! I will stay there next time!💯❤️

Terrible experience. Had booked a 2 night stay ans changed it to 1 night because of how bad it was. First they got our booking wrong and then made us run around to sort it out, with not a single care in the world. Secondly, there was no power for over 12 hours! We were promised a refund and a discount for the first night- However we were charged the full initial amount, for an experience that wasn’t worth even half the price. Extremely disappointed.

The accommodation is excellent, if you want something cozy and private. The conditions were very good, if you take into account the location. There were some small flaws here and there, but they were all minor. The biggest downsite is the fact that it's not on the beach but 2 minutes away from one. For us this was more than acceptable

Very clean hotel, comfortable beds and nice design, nice pool, good restaurant, very polite administration and staff.

Overall a well run and friendly lodge. Comfortable and modern rooms. Breakfast was disappointing. Restaurant food was overall good quality.

The property was beautiful, amenities were great, everyone was friendly and helpful.The only negative thing was the cost of meals and drinks being in USD and more expensive than other places in the area.

Overall the resort is lovely. All staff are just fabulous and the grounds are very well kept. The room was very spacious. The only reason for 4 stars was the power issue. I know it wasn’t the fault of the resort but we had no power at night not even to run the fan or any lights (better not have to use the toilet). In addition, the AC didn’t work so it was just 33 degree damp air with no movement. Still the staff were fabulous and if they can get the power sorted out it would be a full 5 stars!

Great independent hotel, it was a paradise. Rooms are large and clean. Food at breakfast, lunch and dinner were all of very good quality. The whole place is kept spotless, and the 2 pool areas are a bonus. We preferred the quieter pool at the back, definitely recommend.

One of a kind jewel near the beach at Nungwi. Fantastic restaurant, two beautiful pools and lovely gardens. Excellent staff and great hands on owners. Large rooms with balconies. No need to leave the property except maybe to shop in the nearby village

The property has two swimming pools and lush gardens. It feels very private. The owners live on site and have created a warm, family feel to the resort. It is delightful and we highly recommend it for a stay in Nungwi. Delicious food in the restaurant with a different menu each evening. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Great place to stay!

We had 3 nights stay at Aluna hotel in Dec 2019. Aluna is located 5 min from Nungwi beach that you access from a private road. The Hotel has a great garden and 2 pool areas, free wifi, two bar-restaurants, lounge area and small boutique. The hotel it has been renovated and the new rooms are designed beautifully and paying attention to thoughtful touches. The rooms are spacious and very clean, bed is very comfortable and some of the rooms has a great jacuzzi in the terrace/yard. The staff is super welcoming and friendly, and the food is healthy and tasty. We loved the Dorado, one of the tastiest in Zanzibar! Thumbs up to the chef!! Furthermore, the hotel has great initiatives, like selling a beautiful design water bottle that you can refill anytime, reducing the consumption of plastic and taking home a nice souvenir. Just super! The tuk tuk service is a quick, fun, and cheap way to travel to kendwa or nungwi. We wanted to travel longer distances, since it was a really cool way to go around. Once we arrived, we had a big confusion with the room type, but Caroline and Tom, fix it making our stay much better. The only minus was to book the blue safari with the local company. We had a terrible experience and ruin our day. Thanks to Caroline and Tom for cheer us up, they are really kind and great owners. If you are looking for a good hotel in Nungwi, that’s the only choice in our opinion! Mantas and Maria.

A lovely community feeling with friendly faces both from the staff to the visitors. A great vibe and special little place. The Fish BBQ on Friday night was excellent! Breakfast was simple but plenty and other food ordered from the restaurant was always great.

Lovely hotel, very nicely decorated. Location is in the more quiet part of Nungwi and not far from local restaurants althoigh their restaurant was also very nice.

Hotel Is Very clean and quiet . The personal is very helpful and polite. The food is also very delicious . The hotel is about 15 min walk from The village and the beaches which are suitable for swimming and where the nightlife is. Highly recommended for families and couples.

Thank you Caroline and Tom for giving us the opportunity to sleep outside on the swing bed! :) It was an unique and great experience to see the sky full of stars and hear the sound of the sea! We will always remember!

Wifi is weak...as if like there’s no wifi. I couldn’t download a photo or voice clip from whatsapp. Sometimes I couldn’t even connect to whatsapp. 20mins walk to village center. Not enough of pool chair. Their food came very slow, waited for an hour and more. Nice staff. Nice pool area. Has hair dryer. Clean. Have a safe in the room.
