Everything was fine except for the fact the noise was unreal. All night long banging of doors. Every morning at 7 AM there is a school below you and the talking begins every day. So loud that you could hear them inside your room with windows closed and music playing. A solid night sleep was impossible there. I almost went crazy. Only book if you are there for one night only

Great stay in San Sebastian, very comfortable and good location!

great place. We had room 1 on the first floor, and it was wonderful. Comfortable bed, a balcony overlooking the street, compact but good bathroom with plenty of warm water. The location couldn't be better. Literally steps from the boardwalk to the beach and three minutes walking to old town. Juan Mari has created his own food map of the area (excellent) and is an unabashed fan of his city. Across the street is a grocery store which is really helpful. Nothing was more than a fifteen minute walk from the room, most everything was much closer.

Location is close to the old town, but very busy. Room we had was fronting busy Main Street & was noisy.

So many coffee shops and restaurants around. To close to shopping mall and others stores.Room is small, but very cute and clean, perfect for two persons. Staff have some problem with English, but very friendly and tried to help.

We stayed one week with our two year old child. Urkia is well kept, clean and staff are very friendly. It is also ideally situated close to beaches, buses bars, restaurants and a grocery store across the street. For others with a stroller it could be good to know that there is an elevator. However to reach it from the ground floor you walk up two half-flights of stairs, then take the elevator to the third floor and walk down a half-flight of stairs to reach Urkia. We were not bothered by this. Our one issue is perhaps that it became warm and moist in the room. If we chose to leave the balcony door open during the night for cooler air, the problem would instead be noise and traffic from the street outside. There was a fan on the table, which made it a little better, but I would have preferred air conditioning as it was still moist. during the our room facing street was noisy if the balcony door was open,

Owner very knowledgeable and friendly, room nice, clean

Great location, very friendly and accommodating host with great recommendations of places to visit for pintxos. Found the room a little tight for space and the noise travelled down from upstairs and from the room next door but neither went late. The double glazed doors cut the street noise completely which was great, but a bit hot without air conditioning, which I didn’t realise we wouldn’t have in the room when I booked, which is my oversight.

This pension is wonderful! Family owned place. The owner and his mom were extremely helpful and nice . Helped with directions, restaurant recommendations and even offer to wash our clothes. Room was perfect and location was the best . Close to everything. I would recommend this place to anybody that visits San Sebastián.

Clean room and friendly service!

Very well located property in the center of San Sebastián only a few blocks away from La Concha beach. The room is clean and comfortable. We arrived late and they were very nice to let us check in at that time. Highly recommend!

Pensión Urkia is a great place to stay in San Sebastian. The staff went out of their way to make my time there as comfortable as possible & were extremely helpful.Springtime is definitely the best time to visit San Seb; perfect weather for exploring & not overrun with tourists.

While the room was on the small side (but enough for two and two large suitcases) we had a small enclosed balcony with opening windows and two very comfortable chairs. A great place to sit and contemplate both the beginning and end of the day. The staff were very helpful with ideas for pintxos at a variety of bars, and suggestions for dinner locations. Great location!

Stayed two nights when visiting San Sebastian, very good location as it's close to the beach and old part of the town. Comfy bed with a shared kitchen with all facilities which was very clean. Friendly staff.

This is a great property - large clean rooms with comfortable furnishings and a great location. Nearby some shopping centers, Playa Concha, and the old town with all the pintxos restaurants. If theres any negative its that it isnt wheelchair friendly and youll always have to walk yourself and your luggage up at least a flight of stairs to get to the elevator.

It is a basic, small room with access to a fully equipped kitchen. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. My major problem was the noise. It is on a busy street and the windows are not well soundproofed. My room was on the first floor right next to a busy bus stop. If you are a light sleeper you will not get any rest.

Ideal spot close to shops, old town (bars) & beach.

Very kind and friendly owner who greeted us. There is a very modern kitchen for the visitors to make coffee or tea. This was a nice touch during he cold days we were in San Sebastian. We had no complaints about the room or service
